Week 5...
XPool and PoolMasters get first dibs on matches this week, they'll be in Play The Game at 8:00 on Monday. Masters will be looking to keep up with or at least stay 1 behind the Outlaws depending on what they do this week. XPool has some OK players, greddy can bank pretty well, but 1 guy being able to do it against 4 or 5 or even 6 who can do it even better doesn't look good. XP might have an outside chance at an upset, but jimvan's there for game 7 if he needs to be, along with fink, mrsr, too much. 5-2 PM.
PoolPimps and HappyPool...9:00 Don't Stop Me Now...These 2 both 2-2 in the AL but I believe the Pimps have the better team...If they play better than they did last week. HappyPool have made some improvements from week 1 but it's gonna be real hard for them to get through this team. It's not gonna be a match filled with great games but it'll at least be a little entertaining. Pimps 4-3.
Tuesday night at 7, the match everybody's concerned about in the NL Mountain...except BNR, XP, TRP, you know, teams that don't even have an outside shot at winning the Division. But the Masters are watching it. Outlaws at Luckypool. You can guess it's in Bicycle Race but if you're wrong we won't hold it against you. Don't go by the stats here, Outlaws have been lucky, LuckyPool has turned their team around completely. They were playing like a pro team with nothing to gain...Now they're playing like a college team with no chance at a bowl invitation, because of 1 thing: Pride. Except unlike that college team (Maine, or insert crappy team here) they still do have a chance at the playoffs, and if they can knock off the Outlaws this week, their chances get even better. So it's our top NL Captain Jenn against Outlaw Kevin. James, Jamie, Chris, your luck is about to run out. LuckyPool, led by Jenn, Flex, and Snake, will knock off the Outlaws in yet another 4-3 finish. There's your wake-up call PO.
MadSkillz and NewCastle. 1 of the 2 8PM matches, this one's in Foot Spot. NewCastle as some of us know or don't know, have this air of controversy circling around them with this booter problem. Now I'd like to believe it's not true, and I'll assume it isn't. I believe MadSkillz has a far better team, when it comes to actually playing the games, than NewCastle. In fact one player you might not think of when you put your all-conference team together, but should...is king_hustler2004. Not on dan's top10, he hasn't lost yet, but he's exactly the guy MadSkillz needs to rely on in a game 7. Welcome to my All-Star team king. Romper would also make it, if these 2 meet up, ohhhhh boy it should be fun, as long as it's a straight game. Again if it's a fair match, MadSkillz wins it 5-2.
Breakers Alley visit EZ8 for the other 8:00 match in It's So Easy...this pick is easy. Breakers Alley had a nice little 2-week run all was good they played well...now we're back to the season 3 Breakers Alley. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or long post, EZ8 5-2.
BlackSilver and Smoking Cues at 9, Thorn In My Side. Remember I'm only creditting SC as 1-3 not the 2-2 that they officially are, and they deserve that 1-3 based on how they played early, but they definately picked it up in the match with the Outlaws, woke up just in time to salvage their season. Smoking Cues can beat BlackSilver...but I don't think they will. BS should win this, even without Josh who went to PF, 4-3.
SuperbPool and LPL kick off Wednesday. Rack 'Em is the room. LPL might start getting some old members back they finally changed Head Admins everything seems to be going well, while SuperbPool are a very unfortunate bunch. They can't seem to buy a win. They're like any canadian baseball team lately, specifically Montreal. The LPL team can win, and will win with ogges as captain, but they better watch out come Playoff time, that guy = bad news for them come playoff time, refer way back to the PF and LPL match last season. LPL 4-3.
MATCH OF THE WEEK Just making sure you noticed...it's StraightShots and PoolFiction in Bad Times at 8. SS have an ace obviously with JJ, and they have a nice overall team, spiro, blake, cheese, but PFN has the same and more. Zame, no respect for him really since he coached Chris, almost ruining that guy's rep, but for the most part there's hill, Jammy Sosa, and we all know Jammy's loss count as a captain of any interleague, 0. It will continue. PoolFiction's gonna go into game 7 with SS, but if they get to 3 first, it may force SS to play JJ game 6, PFN takes game 7, they win 4-3, and will be the last team standing undefeated in the American League.
Speaking of 0's...UnitedPool goes to We Are the Champions to take on ElitePool. Tommy, not playing. Ever. UnitedPool have a decent squad, remember they almost beat the Regul8ors. But you also have to remember ElitePool did the very same, and MisterLucky took Dan through a great game, probably the best on the team 2nd to Brandon, skill-wise. You can say they underestimated LuckyPool, they probably did, but LKP was still better, even with Tommy's ignorance. 2-2 will become 3-2 when the Elites win it 4-3.
A pair of 7PM matches start off the final day of the MLP week. Let's start with Cue Keepers and Poolfighters in the Advanced Lounge. Fighters haven't been as invincible as they were last season, but they've got the job done...Minus week 1 right Luis? aka_beckham. Anyways, PoolFighters obviously do have the better team and picking up Josh from BS certainly won't hurt them any. Remember corey's still sitting in the dog house. Good place for him. PF will still beat Rob's Keepers, 5-2.
The other match is Break n Run against the Hustlers...and at 8:00 HotShotz visit the Regul8ors. Regul8ors have been the living definition of "choke"...They have a group photo shoot appointment with Webster tomorrow. But they still have the better team, and they can fight themselves out of a hole should they get into one. Hot Shotz are an OK team, but they'll likely fall to the Regs 5-2.
And at 9 to end it all, TRP and BBM. See this is going to be an easy pick. BBM will win either 5-2 or 7-0. I've got all the bases covered. If TRP doesn't show again they time out 7-0 win for BBM. If they do show then clogz, daru, pas, coria, they just walk all over 'em and win 5-2 or maybe even 6-1. Simple stuff really.
