Monday Picks
PO wins 5-2 in All Right Now over BP
PH wins 5-2 at least over BA in Vicki's Secret
HS wins 4-3 over Pool Pimps in PLP's room.
I might show up, I might not. Just a few personal things I gotta think over, GL guys.
My Monday Predictions
The Pool Outlaws have finally found their groove. After finding themselves in two 4-3's in the first two weeks (One a loss) they have started to gather themselves with two 6-1 wins and a 7-0. I see this streak continuing against BritPool who has struggled to gather wins except for the 1 win they had in week 1 against 8br.
Prediction: 6-1 PO
Pool Hustlers @ Breakers Alley - 8 PM
Even though the record of 2-3 is not impressive, the pool hustlers are a solid team and are finding their own with Ren's new plan of picking the regulars. BReakers alley is right behind PH with a 1-4 record. If PH wants to get into the playoff hunt they must continue with their impressive win against regs and win vs BA. I dont see this as a problem for them.
Prediction: 5-2 PH
Pool Pimps @ Hot Shotz
Like PH vs BA, the Pool Pimps need the win to get into the playoff hunt. The HS are 3-1 (BE Game) and Plp is 2-3. A win here will get them closer. HS has solid players, with the leadership of Glenno. If he wins I'm sure 3 more can follow in his footsteps. Pool Pimps will have to turn to Blazer Fan and hope that they don't get a DQ like last week.
Prediction: 4-3 PLP
I felt like posting cuz sean seems like he's sick of it for now :P.
All-Star Early Top 5
reg_jerfighter - Hey, 3-1 in matches, 3-2 if you count some loss he wasn't even here to play, and someone played without his knowledge, so I'm calling him 3-1. Then you have his stunning 2 reg. jump wins, there's no doubt in my mind, if he just plays at all throughout this season, he's gonna be an all-star when that time comes around.
sp_T_Rocket - Wow, you talk about a guy carrying a team on his back. Just as Romper was to NewCastle last season, T Rocket has been to SuperbPool this season. He's the only guy with more than 1 win so far, and while usually he's been up in non-pressure situations, he hasn't been playing like a total idiot in those games. The guy knows how to play, and I think SuperbPool week in and week out, have been making absolutely stupid mistakes in not playing him in those pressure spots. I understand you wanna have him for a 4th win, but first you actually need to get 3. He's been the only good player in SuperbPool, so their failures certainly can't be blamed on him. Quez-SuperbPool, 6-1 Quez, guess who the only win was. Rocket again has been doing his job, when the other players have just left him with nothing to play for. Big props to this guy.
pfn_a7x_mark - The guy is 4-0, one of them on an early 8 obviously last week, but he has been cash money as a starter for PoolFiction. PFN has 2 clear-cut all-star caliber players. Mark, and Mick, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them both make it in this season. But any time you go 4-0 as a starter, you are making it big-time easy for your teammates, because it's obviously much easier to play up 1-0, than down 0-1, isn't that right Break and Run?
pf_FUNANDBUBBLY - This is Corey, he's 4-1 in matches this season. And you know what? He hasn't been against all cupcake opponents. This guy has been solid all season, he hasn't been a jerk about anything as far as I've seen, his one loss was last week in the loss to HS, but he really improved his stock by winning the cam jump, even in a hurry to get out of there. If anyone gets it in PF it should be him, yes over Luis, because I know for a fact Corey will be playing on a much more consistent basis than Luis will be able to, and he almost always delivers the goods.
Finally? dp_Super_Mario_64_ - Why? Well he has been damn good every match, every week. DreamPool-BritPool really opened my eyes to his talent, playing in that clutch situation to cap off an unreal 0-3 to 4-3 comeback. Plus, usually, he has a good attitude about things from what I've observed, and when PFN smoked DP 6-1, it was this guy beating Mick of all people, though on what Mick would call an off day, nobody can take away that win from him. He played great there, he played great before, and he'll continue playing great.
Big-time mentions: po_revolutionizingthegame - Does this guy ever F'in mess up? He's solid, it's like he's on his own planet when he plays. He never seems to have an off-day, and while people will take shots at him, there's no denying that he is a very very solid player. He could easily be punching a return ticket to the All-Star match.
lpl_xx_romper_xx - LPL is 2-3, and guess what? It's not romper's fault. This guy has been picking up exactly where he left off with NewCastle. Getting big wins, one of his biggest against PoolFiction, picking up a HUGE game 6 win over Stud, with LPL down 2-3, and ruffer could've beat Mick a few times in that game. If romper doesn't play in the all-star game, it will be a crime, and everyone involved in the decision process who exclude him should be jailed and forced to pick up a little soap. He is far and away LPL's best this season, and as far as I can see, will be their most consistent.
Last mention for now, and there are many others who deserve it, po_CoolCalmChris - The name usually describes his style. Almost always cool, calm, doesn't panic a lot. Had a harsh loss to swallow that cost PO to lose their match with MadSkillz, but when you win a Cam Jump, and get to the Finals again, and just consistently play well in the matches and in the tour, you set yourself up for...ALL-STAR BABY. I think with how he's playing right now, he and Dan could both get into the All-Star match this season as well. But again, I don't know when it is exactly, when I find out, I'll post it immediately. And like I said, there are quite a few others who didn't get mentioned here who certainly deserve it, especially someone like Eddie, playing strong and carrying a team on his back while they're struggling firecely to get a win. That's something that has to be a plus in the Admins' eyes when it comes time to make an admin choice, assuming it's close enough to the same format as last season. I think last season's format really worked out well, don't change it! It was great! Imagine me sounding like Dick Vitale because it was awesome baby! :) Cya later!
Big League Tour
And we always start it off with the regular jump, basically the women's college tourney of it all because...It's usually not as good and only half the people give much of a hoot, and we'll focus on the regul8ors. Why? Well they have dominated the tourneys...Just...Not from a points standpoint. 112 points, 3 tourney wins, they're basically over .500 in the tourneys won per weeks played category. And who do we watch? Well he opened against the Hustlers it's freeshot. In order he knocks out, without a Bye, lager drinking freak of HS, who recently switched from BBM, BNR's badalnighter, PM's BeautifulLiar, CKP's jay dee497, Outlaw Austin, and ChampsPool's lethaled before reaching the final...yes a Champ got to the semis and now I'll call a time out. CHP I think is the most underrated league in MLP.They're 3-1, their only loss coming to BBM and 1 to EZ8 which doesn't count, and they're capable of 4-1 whenever they make that match with BE up. They're actually #1 in the Pacific at 3-1 with the Regs and PF both 3-2, yet you don't see people talking much about them. This is a team that served BlackSilver a 5-2, took down HotShotz who I think are just as good if not just a tiny bit less, and they 5-0ed Breakers Alley, I mean, they are really hot right now. They haven't had those big huge matches with PF, Regs, and AF yet, but perhaps they can maybe squeak out a win against one of them, and hey what a story it would be, though a bit of a long shot, if CHP won the Pac-8, they've got nothing to lose, everything to prove, this really is a nice team and maybe the best team that nobody talks about right now. Back to what matters though, Freeshot's opponent in the Finals? PM's damn_balls_r_killin_me. Got there by beating WA's Too Much, Absolute Finest derek, BearsRU of BE, teammate mo_le_, BeerBaller Evil_Walks who later was discovered to be horribly ineligible in BBM anyways, but capped off his loss by booting everyone except Judy and myself...I'm so loved. The temper tantrum got him in the box until the Final Four in St. Louis, that's 14 days. Also 5 days in BBM for those who care. So the finals, a Regul8or and a PM...PM has the lead in the Tour WITHOUT a Tournament victory first time I believe that's happened after 5 weeks in any season, but...PM's not that good anymore they got a tourney win to go along with all those points, they rake in 33 tonight, 164 points...Means PF would need a HUGE night and frankly they're the only ones who were any good aside from PM as a whole.
In the cam jump, CoolCalmChris is the #1 seed, you may recall he won the cam jump week 1, oh did he have a fun time in this one. Luis round 2, PM's Crazy Que round 3, Joe of PFN round 4, PoolFighter Eskim0s lost in round 4...What's new? And then there's this Corey guy in the Final he has to put up with. How'd Corey reach? Well it helps to be the #2 seed in one of these bad boys, he beat new Regul8or npm_james, former PF Trouble4Some now of course with 8BR, now former outlaw MJ Tha King who has now left a big-time PO team to captain BeerBallers, to hopefully get them as cool and calm as they have been in other interleagues where MJ is in charge, then...We need a PM going deep because we all miss Lucky...It's ehkohz taking over!!!! ...But she lost to Corey of course. In the Finals, it was a see-saw Final, Corey took game 1 but Chris tied it all up, and Crey was just better in the decider. PoolFighters now tie with Regs for most tourney wins so far with their 3rd, and how fitting their Captain does it? By the way I said PF needed a big night to keep up with PM...Is 40 POINTS...Yes I say again FORTY points big enough? They did have 9 by my stupid error but 2 of them did have 0, there may be some kind of penalty, I don't really know, but they ain't taking Corey's big 15 points away, nuh-uh. Chris' Outlaws as a whole take in BlackJack for points, a nice 21...they're still under the century mark. Black & Silver remember when they led this thing? 9 points, but still many weeks to come, and we all know but I'll say it anyways...BlackSilver can heat up fast. ElitePoolers dead last in the standings even behind Bearskins...ouch...And they've had a head-start on the new guys, Elites only got 3...Still in single digits they're the only team...They equal BE's 2 vs. 2 points. Bearskins for the curious doin' OK, 29 total points, not too bad for a smaller league like that, especially with the late start they've had. Sorry about the lack of bolding and all that, just that laziness factor again -_-
Hey by the way something Luis would shine a bright light upon and issue a medal for: BNR's kellyhero got Yahooed pretty bad against BP's Banditrider, and bandit tapped to her while she was on the 8, knowing full well it was pretty much ball-game. And so I ask ye, where for art thou sportsman in hither?
