river_blake returns for BP and not a moment too soon. Big game 7 win as PM chokes away a 3-0 lead, BritPool now 2nd in the American League, have a much better chance against EZ8 now if he's back for the rest of the ride, what a fun league to watch BritPool have been. holy_died, the one responsible for all of the booting in the UNY match this week, yeah. That's about all we need to know there.
MVP Talk. Did Boo cement his spot as the NL MVP? Did anybody jump out as the AL MVP? Here goes...
AMERICAN LEAGUE
#1: heavymetalisbest - With his team down 3-0 he was able to get the best of dr.dreww. This sparked the 4-3 BP comeback. 9-1, now 2 saves and 2 clinchers, great season for this guy so far.
#2: x_majik_shots_x - Cal with a game 1 win against Lucky Shots' only really productive player. He brought PL in extremely shorthanded early, made that Game 1 really big.
#3: dawndyyyy - Yeah she won but she played early too. Plus it's a home match so there was a chance to match her up in a bigger game against a bigger opponent. She still won, but next week PM is idle. This was really her last chance to put herself to #2.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
#1: Boozilla - In the big one between PFN and CZ, Cheap Shotz ALMOST completely choked on a 3-0 lead. PFN came back and of course... Game 7 was Boozilla and Jamie. Boo won, he's quite simply the MVP.
#2: xlx_bpk_xlx - So Jamie remains 2nd fiddle basically for the season. Or does he?
#3: Miz - Now, Miz clinched against BNR. Not a huge win necessarily but now Malditos have a shot at Cheap Shotz. That means we could very well see Boozilla vs. Miz. Now, if Miz wins I still don't think he moves to #1 because of his losses, but in the Final week he very well could. Right now it's all so close and dependant on so many things, that you would have to wait until after Week 14 to pick one ...Unless CZ whoops Malditos in which case it won't matter.
AL MATCH OF THE WEEK: Pool Legends @ Cue Keepers - Pommy wants in on the MVP talk and if Cue Keepers can knock off PL, and Pommy plays a pivotal role in that, he may get just that. More importantly, Cue Keepers would stay tied with United Nations of Yahoo in the race for 5th place. BUT also remember this - Pool Masters will have 7 wins, CKP would have 7 wins, and UNY would have 7 wins if the Keepers and UNY are both winners this week. Pool Legends don't have anything to play for now except eligibility and maybe Cal's MVP, but I think they still kinda owe it to the rest of the AL to try and beat CKP.
NL MATCH OF THE WEEK: Cheap Shotz @ Malditos - Battle for #1 perhaps. Malditos's last chance to take the top spot from CZ really. Cheap Shotz won 5-2 when they played earlier, so not only do they need to win... But they need to win 5-2 or better. Cheap Shotz only need 3 wins, but they wanna just take the NL outright. A win here will do that, and potentially open the door for another 3-way tie.
Next week, full picks on all the matches, and the winner of the Big League Tour. Does it matter? Not really.
