Some Results
Well I didn’t feel like writing a game by game review so I’m just doing a little summary for them.
CKP vs. SS
The CKP team dominated, end of story…oh and cal won GRRR (just for you pommy). Well there’s always next week. 6-1 CKP
CZ vs. BNR
I didn’t watch this match but I don’t think there was much to say about it either. CZ was too much for BNR. 7-0 CZ
DP vs. PP
It was a pretty close match between the two leagues. PP had a decent lineup with marky neo and co. DP seemed to be short the whole time slowly getting their 7. All in all I’d say both leagues were pretty evenly matched. DP had two bright spot players in uslander and jackal-dx(some of you old poolers might remember him) but the captain has to do a better job of keeping the loud mouths at bay. PP was a bit sluggish and the final score was 5-2 DP
*I could see this being a hostile matchup in the future with a lot of former DP players moving to PP. Probably an entertaining match,because of the rivalry, to watch or annoying to ref.
TPL vs. LS
Well I came in and it was already 3-0 TPL, Just in time to see Koty shine in the lime light. He pulled out a pretty convincing clinch and TPL pounded all over LS.
5-2 TPL
PFN vs. UP
Similar to last match when I got there it was already 3-0 PFN. Bam was already bragging to me on yim about how my pick sucked and his owned in fewer words. Then the UP team decided to show up and make it interesting. It was do or die but tanner, ketan, and pas did their dirty work for UP by playing well. It got to 3-3 gooner vs. Jamie (or bpk what ever you prefer) with UP trying to ride the momentum and Jamie is just the guy to stop it. Jamie missed a combo and it looked like gooner had em easy. Cubby had already proclaimed 4-3 UP victory when someone asked for the score at table. Lucky for PFN gooner can’t handle pressure like Jamie and he blocks himself on his final ball. Jamie isn’t going to mess up twice and its 4-3 PFN
*Jamie I hope you lose the rest of your matches for ruining my perfect week in picks!
UNY vs. NHP
I wish I had bothered to go watch this match because I really have no idea how NHP lost again. I also don't know how UNY won missing two of their key players. I think the planets aligned tonight or something for UNY.
