Cup Idea From fire_wolf87

Ah the "other" not-so-cool wolf ;) brought an interesting idea to me so I figured I'd throw it out here and see what you guys think. The idea is for a "cup" tournament for next season (or season 7 if 6 is too early) that involves all the teams of MLP in a random draw elimination tourney. Rounds would be played every few weeks, either on top of a league's regular season matches or during a break in the Season. Figure if MLP stayed at 32 leagues and 15 weeks a round could be played every 3 weeks, and of course different numbers could have different results. Anyways, I'm sure fire can answer most of the questons you guys would have, I'll try aso, but it's just a little idea being thrown out to everyone. I didn't do a very good job of explaining it by the way which I never do well in the first place -_-

Wednesday

Pool Hustlers get ANOTHER scare from a sub-500 team, while LuckyPool had no problems, but while the Outlaws won 4-3, they should thank their lucky stars Kenny wasn't umping ;)

Atlantic - Outlaws as I said won 4-3 and they advance to 12-1 on the season, that much closer to clinching the American League and getting that #1 seed, and will end up against either BritPool, UnitedPool, 8BallRunners, or maybe, slim chance, a Central #4 spot. Only real problem in the match was Chris sitting and pressing start when it wasn't his game, SCPG-PFN Season 2 Playoffs ring a bell? Ump did consider the DQ but decided not to, as the effect on the match was rather minimal.

Central - HappyPool...6-7. They've been flirting with an above-500 season, but it doesn't look much like they'll reach it. They're a whole game behind XPool, who now look like a sure lock for the Central #4 spot. PoolFiction by the way now clinches a Playoff spot. Credit to HP, they made a match of this, only losing 3-4 (granted it was done in...5 I believe), It's those unknown faces starting to raise a little hell with the big boys. Speaking of which...

Mountain - Hustlers, first a fortunate 4-3 over Break and Run, this week another 4-3, though only done in 6. It didn't come easy though PH rallied after falling behind 0-2 as Si lost to spanky69_2u, and premlor got the better end of numero_uno_pool_player. Rally time! Brandon, comes through as always. Rocky Ireland picks up a win, Theike! Yes Theike got a win that's like Sophie playing Game 7 match 3 of the World Series :P and to cap it all off, Cory, no chokes, just a nice solid win. Pommy though did lose, Captains suck at voting :D So now PH is in a tie at the top of the Mountain with Absolute Finest at 10-3, they finally pass over .500 in home matches as well, and they've clinched a Playoff spot.. Remember PH beat AF 5-2, but Pool Masters have beat them BOTH. PM plays Pool Fighters tonight. Break and Run fighting for everything last night against LuckyPool also in the same boat. I've been saying the HS-BE makeup match was this week, my mistake, it's next week. -_- Anyways, no contest. LKP handles BNR 5-2, they're 7-6 and again only a half-game behind HotShotz.

Pacific - ChampionsPool? 5-8. 1 game behind Pool Legends and tied with BBM who are also a game back. Schedule outlook: BlackSilver @ Beer Ball Masters (Tuesday, week 14) LuckyPool @ ChampionsPool (Wednesday, week 14), the big one, Pool Masters @ Pool Legends (Thursday, week 14.) Take a week off for All-Stars and calming down and then: Bearskin EightBallers @ Beer Ball Masters and Break and Run @ ChampionsPool (Wednesday, week 15) and your possible Pacific 4th place decider, Regul8ors @ Pool Legends, the final match of the season, unless of course StraightShots get their match moved to Saturday but that match will likely be as relevant as Jose Canseco's book as far as facts go. Break and Run isn't out of it yet but they have a tough road, 2 back, 2 to play, need a 4-way tie and big wins to stand a legitimate chance as they're 4-9. TourneyPool has also clinched a Playoff spot by the way.

Week 15 is gonna be one interesting week, any time you end the relevant season with Pool Legends @ Regul8ors, and that can decide who makes the Playoffs, oh you've got an interleague my friend. And you know what? None of this would be happening if Pool pals didn't withdraw! Wait yes it would, the teams that played PL would have an extra win. Anyways, back to this week, 3 matches Thursday night, QZ-UP listed as being in Back Somersault, after all the rares being deactivated (lmfao at that, LESSON LEARNED one would hope!) there recently, it will probably move. PoolFighters and Pool Masters, Bearskins and...Ah never mind that I'll just play MVP 2005.

Now, there is one little problem I have. People blowing this Pool Legends-Pool Masters thing way out of proportion. According to Sophie people are asking by the bunches to ump that one, a few people have come to me asking what went on, it's nothing. Issue's been dead for weeks. I saw Lucky clear a guy to switch to PM if I remember right, and when it came time to make the Admin Choice, I bet you couldn't guess who mentioned ehkohz, a PM player. Yes, Pool legend Captain Luckydog. There is not gonna be anything special about PM-PL outside of the fact it holds a TON of Playoff relevance. Each team wants to win, sure they don't wanna lose to each other of all teams, but there won't be a fight, won't be any hostility, I've been told by Matt a few weeks ago he's gonna make sure there's no trouble, Lucky's given me the same promise around that time, so can we all just take this match for what it is? 2 teams, 14 talented players, and regardless of whether it's me or Sophie umping, one very cool ump/admin :D So again, it's the last match of week 14, but don't make it a point to go watch the match if you want drama, because to most of the people who watch matches they have no interest in, it won't be your kind of drama. Can we get out of the final 2 weeks without any trouble? From anyone? No wannabe gangsters trying not to act white, no all-star rejects crying, no ego-happy idiots crying about a silly little glitch that they've won a dozen games on before, and no newbies whining about how someone else plays. Just for these final weeks? At least for starters?
