JeReMy'S Prediction Stuff!
SS @ PZ
Let's see. The odds are against PZ this week. They lost Trio (not much of a loss if I might add) and Chris (ch1cubs, who just may be out for more weeks to come). Hey, Trio wasn't a slacker when it came to representing PZ, but he's moved on to bigger and greater things...Luckyshots! I'm going against the grain here and saying that SS will pull this one off. It won't be easy but they can do it.
SS: 4 PZ: 3
PFN @ LS
Luckyshots with the home field advantaged and their newly inducted, most valuable player of the season,Trio, is up to the plate. Anyway, all that jazz isn't going to help them. Luckyshots won't get shattered here, but it's going to take some proving to me to recover from that loss to TPL. On a good day, LS would lose to PFN hands down. With that...
PFN: 5 LS:2
8BR @ UP
WOW! UP isn't doing so shabby. They have a very level team with a group of talented players. And then there's8BR. I won't even say much about them because I get tired of hearing how much "depth" they have or all those other cliché things that people say about 8br. Yea, we all know. I don't even need to ramble on and beat around the bush about UP's chances here, because there is NONE. Not cutting UP ... just, again, putting 8br on a pedestal.
8BR: 6 UP: 1
MLD @ BP
Well, this is a fun match. I don't know why, but MLD seems like an iffy team to me. I mean, they have Miz, Neo, andChex but then what? I think BP has depth all around. Also, you have to think what server we're playing this game of pool on. It's YAHOO...there are going to be precarious fixes that only come from the greatest physicists who created the angles and power of Y! Pool (idiots). What I'm saying is you can't be sure that Miz or Neo won't get Yahooed and someone on the other team decides they "didn't see it" or "you would have taken it if you were me." So, no, Miz and Neo are NOT guaranteed wins. I think BP's team is more consistent as a team and more together. They're not so dependent upon one or two players. I don't know...They're having some league issues. Maybe those issues won't float into the interleague events.Still, I say they'll win the battle and pull out a close one.
BP: 4 MLD: 3
TPL @ PL
I guess this match will prove who the TRUE pool legends really are. I haven't seen a TPL match, but I know they did beat LS in an upset. PL still looks like they are holding on to a bit of depth with their many losses this past season. I say PL will come out as the TRUE PL's.
PL: 5 TPL: 2
UNY @ PM
NO, NO, NO! PM, I am worried for you guys. Drew has yet to play a match! [Sigh] Not looking good at all. Well with all that out of the way. UNY's line-up is looking sharp. This match will be no trouble. I say the match will be clinched at game 4.
UNY: 6 PM: 1
Breakers rebound, Fook the Tuna.
FT_david_daniel92 - BA_l3acknl3lack (W) - Double-D making his first appearance of the MLP season, looking to tie things up early. Backnblack would make both the 5 and 4ball on one shot, setting up for the 2ball in the top left. Needed backspin to try and set it up for the 6 in the middle of the table... Not even enough power to make the 2 (barely even touched it.) David ran into trouble with 3 stripes left, so he safeties trying to use his 3-to-2 balls left advantage. But he NAILS the 6ball with a nice cuebank off the top to the bottom middle pocket, 2 DOES go this time, and Breakers lead it 2-0!
FT_swigglekittin8987 - BA_nvrgiveup.hope (W) - Let's put it simple - Swiggle makes the 8 early, BA goes up 3-0. Simple ay?
FT_y_elite (S) - BA_blondes_1001 - Well, it's on y_elite to save this match for the Tuna (and the other 3 after him.) Quick game with a quick run, as things got a little heated between the two leagues... Basically just a bad joke gone... well... Bad. It's 3-1 though, is the comeback on?
FT_ft.masta - BA_tw.inkie (C) - Replacement captain against the "star acquisition" for Breakers Alley. Phil would get ball in hand early and often in this one, but he gave it up on a VERY foolish shot, trying to play and extra, unnecessary safety. So masta would take his chances and try to run it. 5 in the top right, then the 6 in the lower right. 3-ball across from the middle to the top left... 2 ball top middle, 4 in the top right, just cruising along. THEN he screws up. Badly. He goes for the 7 bottom left and spins back with no easy shot on the 1ball. Tried to hang the cueball in the bottom middle unsuccessfully. Phil would finally go for the run but got caught up behind his 11, and too close for a shot so he safetied again. Really in this "safety battle" at the end of the game, ft.masta was the better player. Phil couldn't make any kind of shot to move the game along at all, just tried to be overconservative, which was the theme of the whole game. masta had a lot of breathing room though, as Phil couldn't get any kind of open shots anywhere without banking. Finally he had to make a shot. masta left the 11 ball from the bottom side of the table all the way across, up to the top right pocket... MONEY! He BARELY left a shot coming down on the 8ball, along the low rail to the bottom right pocket, and the twinkster clinches it for Breakers Alley. 4-1 the score. Here are the other results:
FT_ft_gobbling_turkey_man (W) - BA_lets.ro11
BA_im_just_jeremy wins by forfeit. 5-2 BA the final.
