We're Set For A WILD Finish!
Oh man, what a great final two weeks of this season. We may not even know the matchups until the end of Week 14! Let's focus on THIS week right now, though.
UnitedPool @ New Happy Pool - NHP isn't as bad as their record, obviously. They took over a pathetic Fookin Tuna record, so they can give a mediocre UP team a good match. With that said, I think UP's gonna win out. They play Breakers Alley next week. UnitedPool IS guaranteed a Playoff spot (in fact all 5 teams are set, with only seeding to be determined,) but rather than get as many guys eligible for Playoffs as possible, they SHOULD make a run at the #2 or #3 seed. The further into the Playoffs you can get before having to deal with #1 8BR, the better. They'll start tonight with a 5-2 victory.
Break and Run @ 8Ball Runners - 8BR in a wash even with a B-list lineup. 5-2 at the absolute worst, I'm going with 6-1.
BritPool @ Lucky Shots - Yeah BritPool really isn't that good, and Lucky Shots are still showing signs of weakness. Technically, if the season ended last week, they'd be SEVENTH. Yeah, not a lot of tiebreakers working in their favor. Real quickly, imagine this scenario... BritPool somehow beats LS (they won't,) Pool Loverz fall to Pool LEGENDS (they will,) and TPL loses to Poolfiction (...Again, I'd probably put money on it.) That creates a FOUR-WAY TIE in the NL for the last remaining spot. Straight Shots finish with Malditos and PL, and THEY might get sucked into a 4-way tie at 5 wins, too. Yikes! Anyways back to the situation at hand... Lucky Shots will beat BP, again, by virtue of having 7 players available. Even if BritPool does show, it'll be with a weak "hey if you're here, come play" lineup. Lucky Shots win 5-2.
Cheap Shotz @ Breakers Alley - BA's not really good, CZ's between mediocre and sorta good but have a good setup at the back of their lineup, if it gets close you can bank on 2-3 wins in games 5-6-7, I like CZ to win 5-2 here. They're still probably gonna finish 4th and 5th and have to play a Wildcard game anyways, but perhaps they can get to #4 and have 2nd pick in all the games.
Pool Loverz @ Pool Legends - PL is better, they've been playing well, PZ whooped up on a bad BP team last week, now it's their turn to be on the receiving end of it. PL IS your #2 seed, they win this match 5-2.
United Nations of Yahoo @ Magic Pool - MagicPool is a team that took a 4-1 record and have gone 3-4 since. By the way they got smoked by a UP team that CKP effectively handled even with a whole bunch of trouble surrounding the match. So take that win away and they're 6-6 overall. This is a team you're gonna see at either #4 or #5, probably playing Cheap Shotz. Nick has returned JUST in time to keep things straight in UNY. UNY picks up a 4-3 win, to essentially guarantee no worse than 3rd.
Straightshots @ Malditos - It's unsure whether or not MLD is just gonna turn into a lame duck team with tino starting his Latino Pool Legends league (which by the way, is represented as LPL, heh.) I like SS to win, even if Malditos shows. I don't think it'll be a very strong MLD lineup, I do believe SS will put itself ahead of that cluster below them and clinch a Playoff spot and be done with it. SS wins 4-3 here.
