Wed. Picks
PoolPals @ Break and Run - This is a huge match for both teams because they're in a division where neither are favored to make the playoffs, and BNR may miss by about 3-4 games. That's nothing compared to PP though, their start may have eliminated them from contention already, but if they go down why not take BNR with them? Pals got 2 good players, l3ams a legend and dallas_playa. The others, well, it's like shooting craps, you just hope to get a win. BNR have also struggled the past couple weeks however, serving as Bearskins' punching bag, then still coming out a little flat against AF. But, red just has to take his team, gather them for a moment, and just tell them to play this like week 1. They're 0-0, they didn't lose last week, they've got a lot to prove to the doubters, and to just play their game. But BNR I think has more consistent players than Pool Pals do, they're also at home, this is just perfect for BNR. I think BNR takes it 5-2.
WildAngels @ PoolFiction - Angels just don't match up with PFN here. They're not a team you can afford to underestimate, but they're also not a team that has enough to stop the PFN Express. A pair of 6-1 wins back to back, they're at home, and while there's a good chance Stud (soapbox) will sit out in favor of another Fiction player, and Jammy may also sit out, there's still Mark who hasn't let the team down yet, there's me because I'm too sexy for my Red Sox hat, too s...Right, anyways, there's also revenge_of_mr[_lights_out], JD, Joe, Coma, I mean, the team is simply in a zone and it would take a lot of firepower to bring them down. That's something the Angels lack. While it's not totally inconceivable that Judy's team could pull off a major upset, it's also not totally likely. With PFN's lack of jammy and stud though, I think it could be a tiny bit alarming. I'd still say either 4-3 or 5-2 PoolFiction.
Regul8ors @ Bearskin Eightballers - Regs haven't been as good as they really are. Ever, except last season and that was a little questionable. Now they've lost Trace, lost Pomking who won't be able to return for 2 weeks, but if James and Generaly Cool show up, coupled with the threat of flip, Pita, JJ, Cobain, jer, I could go on but I won't, Bearskins need to do something special tonight to have a chance. Now, as far as Bearskins are concerned, they have one player named pudsybear who did get accused of aimer, pretty badly. Hey, if I'm a captain in this situation, I want 'em playing. Big-name league, egos do have a tendancy to fly, I want 'em playing, if nothing else to try and maybe get an extra DQ somewhere. But that's just me and we all know how much of a dirty cheapskate I am. ;) I think pudsy, for what the 5th time? Is legit, and is very capable of making the same mistakes every common player does. Last time BE was in MLP, their star was dondie. Well, whoever they are this time they better step up big-time, because I don't think BE has it to beat the Regs. 5-2 Regul8ors...But hey, I can't pick regul8or matches for crap.
8BallRunners @ MadSkillz - Well...This is tough. 8BR is a good team. Problem is, their consistency has frankly sucked. They're a 2-3 league, at 20/15, their two wins were 6-1, and basically this is a momentum team. They either blow you away, or they just, in a nutshell, suck really really bad. The one player I'm gonna keep picking on, copenhagen. He's the best player who hasn't done a whole lot. T0xxic's been solid, Trouble4some hasn't been as good as he was last season, mspoolpro's been real good, miz has just simply been electric, so do they have the team to beat MadSkillz? Yes. But, MZ also has the team to do the same. You look at them and see Champ Chris, Pete, king_hustler, Craig, sniper, easy rider, they all know what they're doing (except king against SS...eesh)...This has the potential to be really close...and 8BR's play is obviously a huge wildcard. 'Skillz do know they need to win to stay in front in the Atlantic, and the Outlaws have been heating up. Both of these teams had huge wins last week, and 8BR nees it more. I really think MadSkillz will win this match...around a 5-2. But, if you had to ask me for an official pick? I'm goin out on a limb and believing in 8BallRunners to actually be good for 2 weeks running, and get to .500. 8BR wins 4-3.
