Monday Night

What a night we've got timers, sweeps, game 7 deciders, and one match-costing display of sportsmanship, he still won't get all-star :p but all I can think to say is "wow."

Atlantic - ...Unfortunately MJ you still don't get the old-school SC stuff, wait for Week 15. ;) 8BallRunners timed out last night. mike_scop started the match only having 1 player, himself. Eventually 5 games were played but with the score 3-2 to SuperbPool and T_Rocket ready to close it out, 8BR had no other players. So the result: 5-2 SuperbPool and that kinda shakes up the Atlantic don't it? They're now 5-8, a half-game behind UnitedPool who isn't really favored to win another match this season. Quez, MadSkillz, and a very much alive SuperbPool team, more on them in the Central post. I give UnitedPool 6 wins best-case, but you know there's another team sorta raising hell below them. BritPool saaaaaaaaaaa-wept the Wild Angels Monday night, for the Canadians like Dazed, that score was 7-0. So BritPool is now just a half-game out at 5-8 also, and their final 2 matches are with XPool and Elite Pool, a pair of very, very winnable matches. I've played both sides of the fence with BritPool, saying they'd make it, then that they wouldn't, look for BritPool to surprise everyone and steal the #8 seed, or maybe even the #7 (stretching) in the American League by taking 4th in the Atlantic. More towards the top, in a match to temporarily give them 2nd in the Division, MadSkillz fell short but it wasn't a DreamPool shot that downed them. king_hustler in game 7 against Super_Mario_64_, makes one very amazing bank on the 8, after messing up a run I thought he messed up on the first shot, he banked the 8 off the right rail, drained it bottom left, 4-3 MZ? Nope, cueball goes top, right, bottom rail, and it falls in the top middle. So MadSkillz, robbed one could say as they lose it 3-4, they fall to 7-6 and a half-game behind LPL, who hosts Cue Keepers as they look to practically lock up #2 in the Atlantic, and work towards a #4 or 5 seed.

Central - So what happens in the Central Standings? SuperbPool's win keeps them very much alive at 5-8. They need to win out, and they need both XPool and Happy Pool to lose out or if one wins...they need a 4-way tie at 7 wins then they just need to win big to get their win/loss up. But currently, they are a game and a half out of 4th, and look at the schedules. SPool: UnitedPool and Wild Angels, as they beat 8BR. HappyPool: DreamPool, MadSkillz, Outlaws. You show me a match they're favored to win. XPool: ElitePool, BritPool, Quez. They can win 2 of those, I'm not too sure they actually will though. CueKeepers by the way could also get in on it, they play LPL, ElitePool, and PoolFiction. Does SuperbPool make it? It's not anything better than 70% likely, but they can and just might make it. Wild Angels with their sweep loss are officially eliminated from Playoff contention, and now set their sights on bracket-busting and getting more experience for next Season. As for DreamPool, 8-5 as they steal one against MadSkillz. They're now 1 game above .500 in the Win/Loss (46/45), and it practically secures a spot for DreamPool. They're on pace to clinch a Playoff spot most likely next week.

Mountain - In the Mountain, Regul8ors won 6-1 over the Breakers Alley team, who have guaranteed their worst win count in their career in MLP. Flip continued with his usual arrogance, apparently competing with Dan or something, and astro ended up as the only loss. From the rock bottom to the sky high of the Division, Absolute Finest hosting Pool Legends. Legends jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Finest rallied to take a 3-2 lead thanks to Sir_Tazz, Ypools_Allstar, and rvdblade. But game 6, must-win for Pool Legends with perhaps their Playoff lives at stake, poollegends2005 against derekgnr...Hey the guy's good OK? Legends tie it at 3 and it's showdown time. xlx_southside_pool_genius_xlx against LuckyDog, probably the most importantn player for PL. Lucky gets glitched in the late stages of the game after clearly making his ball and making legal contact, but I did say there was some sportsmanship wayyyy up there. Scott actually taps the cue back to Luckydog, knowing full-well Lucky had the game won if that happened. Got a nice "WTF" from rvdblade, the highlight of the night, and he ran off crying. Lucky puts it away with the amazing display of sportsmanship from Scott, and Absolute Finests loses 3-4, and they're 10-3. Pool Masters and Pool Hustlers now only a half-game out of the lead, PM did beat both the Hustlers and AF. And by the way speaking of PM and PL I hear a lot of people are asking to ump that match next week. Shut up kids it's gonna be Sophie or another Admin she knows the situation -_-

Pacific - Regul8ors are a win or a PoolFighters loss away from clinching the Pacific Division with their blowout of Breakers Alley, as they imporve to 11-2. Remember the Regs did beat PF earlier this season, but the Division is practically won. PoolFighters play the Pool Masters this week, in what figures to be a great matchup between 2 leagues at the top of their Divisions. Pool Legends are 6-7 as they get out with a win, and take a half-game lead over ChampionsPool for the 4th spot in the Pacific. CHP, despite a few struggles, are still alive in the Playoff hunt especially when you factor in their win over the Legends. ...But they'll need to douse the flames of the red-hot Pool Hustlers, who have a 3rd place Hall of Famer...SOPHIE! Sitting there #3 in the...Longest Premium Member list lmao =)) Anyways, ChampionsPool knows they need to bring everything, and PH has to avoid getting cocky as they did against Break and Run, and realize CHP will want to win at all costs, and PH needs to stop them to have any hope of winning their Division.

Sportsmanship. Don't see a ton of it and frankly you'll see little from me when it comes to glitches and early 8s. But when you do see it especially in the situation Scott was in, 3-3, game 7, you tap back knowing you'll lose, and I think it showed the division of belief in Absolute Finest. You've got a captain and most of the players on one side, who do believe in sportsmanship, and then...rvdblade, smokekenny's got in on unsportsmanlike stuff before, and you see at least from the outside, Absolute Finest is by no means a whole team. That kind of separation, unless it's fixed by the Captain, whether by meeting with the players or simply releasing the troublesome players, will ensure that Absolute Finest does not make it any deeper than the 2nd round of the Playoffs at best. But while we can still talk about it, let's commend Scott (xlx_southside_pool_genius_xlx) for his great display of sportsmanship, and hope to see it more in the future.

We're set for a wild finish as I've said many many times. All-Star results will be announced by the end of this week, and let's face it we know the obvious ones: Me, Sophie, and the banned list all-star, gotta be the oldest member of it: gallagher__1! Gah, I remember banning him in another interleague when he got nabbed with aimer *sigh* lol. By the way, IDIOTS QUIT HITTING MANNY RAMIREZ DAMMIT X(
