All-Star Fact or Fiction
PO_revolutionizingthegame: FACT - I've got a word, it's called consistency, add talent, hey he even won a Tour, come on do I really need to justify this? Dan deserves it in PO it's just a simple concept.
LPL_xx_romper_xx: FACT - This guy has been a lock for most of the Season. Picking up where he left off with being the only decent player with NewCastle last season, he comes in with his share of late-match wins, wins that really mattered, romper is one of the top if not the absolute top reason LPl is going to reach the Playoffs.
MZ_ph-alex: FICTION - Theres no way he should've been the Captain pick simply for this reason: He left PH in the wake of all that Sean business. His attitude isn't the best, guys could miss a 5-rail cue bank and go "WTF OMFG" blah, it's pathetic an Admin Choice had to be wasted to make sure king_hustler didn't get screwed.
8BR_LuckyCandi: FACT - She was fact even before Tyler gave up his spot to her. Didn't hurt her any that she had a pretty good start/middle season, and picked up a fairly recent Tour vic, when you look at tht 8BR team few people deserve it more than Candi.
UP_x_ketan_x: FACT - Of course. Who else are you gonna name from UnitedPool? ...That's what I thought. As obvious as Dan, so I won't go on trying to justify it.
SS_JUDGE1417: FACT - Again, obvious. Roy has gone through a lot of players leaving "because they felt pressured" ha, they'd suck horribly in any actual sport, maybe that's the reason for being so good at YPool. Anyways, for Roy to stick with SS in MLP, picking up a couple game 7 victories back to back weeks, being the only solid part of the lineup, no-brainer.
BP_slavko74: FACT - This guy should've beat me. OK so that's not an accomplishment. But hey, he's a very smart player, I'd say the smartest in BritPool, you could argue he's a tad over-cautious but compare his stuff to the rest of BP's...We have a winner.
EP_Mr_tintin: FACT - I'd be happy with ANYONE from EP to be honest. That's just how bad they've been.
Admin Choice: MZ_king_hustler2004: FICTION - He should've been a CAPTAIN CHOICE and we could've voted on someone else like possibly MJ, or another PO player who finished short of Dan. Alex has no business playing between week 14 and 15 but he is, can't do much about it now. So king's a fiction as an Admin Choice because he should've been Captain Vote -_-
QZ_c_o_w_b_o_y_y: FACT - Though Kyle was a very good possibility, especially after that amazing shot he drilled to put away PoolFiction, I still like Kevin for the spot. I'd say they would be about even and it just came down to a matter of one guy getting the vote over the other. It did disgust me though to find out the tie the Admins had to break was between kevin and Josh...must've been a bunch of idiots voting for Josh.
PFN_Tha_Phuk_Up: FICTION - Nothing personal here though watch it get perceived that way, he closed out the World Series last season, that was then. I really think Mick should've kept the All-Star spot but he didn't and Mark got it, I still would've rather seen jeremy_doyle with it.
DP_Super_Mario_64_: FACT - Beat Mick, game didn't mean much but he beat Mick, had a bunch of 3-3 decider wins under his belt, yes Pascal was huge in getting to those 3-3s, but you're looking for a closer in your fantasy league who do you look for? Brazoban now? Or last 2 year's Eric Gagne? I take the Closer not the Set-Up Man.
XP_angelofmercy0: FICTION - shootalready one of the many victims of the popularity vote. I said last season Lenny was a nice shooter, she responded to me with "no i'm not" So already, I say "OK, you're not." She hasn't done as much as shootalready in matches at least as far as I'm concerned, and so again the Admin Choice had to be used to get someone more deserving of a spot in.
HP_CJwNY: FACT - You want Chuck or CJ? Either one was a good option from HP. Cj however ended up getting the votes, and despite him being a Yankee fan I do agree with the choice. Especially when you figure in the late-match W's he has.
CKP_kidfromperu: FACT - Well, anybody would've been as good as the next I think. There really wasn't any stand-out player, as Craig was last season. Kid may not be the best player, but he's as good a choice as any in CKP.
SP_T_Rocket: FACT - Duh? I'm not wasting time explaining why he easily deserves it.
WA_partslady29: FACT - Struggling team. Only 2 or 3 people even had outside shots at being All-Star, and Judt being the more experience in Interleagues between them, you know she's most likely gonna be there anyways, I can't fault the Captains too much here.
Admin Choice: XP_shootalready69: FICTION - Again because he should've been the Captain Choice and next season most likely the Captains will just be picking the All-Star from their own league ONLY. Though I will say I'm partially to blame for that not being the case here. Either way, you subtract Lenny, add Shootalready to the CAPTAIN votes, then you take the Admin Choice and instead of burning it on someone who got screwed, you vote in a Kyle or Pascal, someone who could've been an All-Star any other day.
AF_fire_wolf87: FACT - It's all in the streak. OK not just that, he's been winning games even before that 2v2-based win streak. That and I do believe one of the factors was attitude? That alone got rvdblade and smokekenny excluded from the All-Star stuff altogether.
PH_scpoolplaya: FACT - Though pomking gave his spot up to him. Captains for the most part did a pretty good job but with a few of the leagues they just made absolutely stupid decisions. Brandon's what, 10-1? That's 10 wins, 1 loss, hey PH hasn't been playing Breakers Alley the past 13 weeks. Good thing Brandon ended up getting in anyways.
PM_dynamite_que: FACT - Based a lot on that tear he went on the past 5 weeks or so. Winning a Cam Jump, bailing out PM twice with Clinching/Saving Wins, damn_balls put up one hell of a streak, non-2v2 aided, but let's face it...dynamite was simply the better pick.
HS_x_jeramie_x: FACT - Glenno avoided another Fiction lol. Jeramie has been on...what's that phrase? Oh yeah, an absolute rampage the past 5-8 weeks. He hasn't lost much this season either. This half of the season alone makes hi HS' All-Star.
LKP__Solid_Snake: FACT - LKP's go-to guy really. If you expect wins out of this man you're not asking for anything out of the ordinary. Easily one of LKP's most solid players, has been since Season 3, sign him up.
BS_l_hero_23_l: FACT - Victor has done well also, But I have a lot of lost respect personally for people who feel so shallow about their rep. that they have to hide (which he did as Vickie remember) to try and get respect. Hero has never done that, never had to, oh and if you wanna talk about MLP, he's a very solid player on top of everything. I don't see anything wrong with him being an All-Star.
PLP_xll_drew_llx: FICTION - l3lazer fan has gone through a ton of crap, and still been an OK player. Drew hasn't been there for even half the times that Blazer has, and while Drew is a good enough player to be an All-Star, I think Blazer deserved it.
BA_BladeTheVampireHunter: FACT - Although hell I would've been fine if Scotter, jackal, or even Sean got voted for this spot regardless of the fact they don't play there. Really no such thing as a bad pick here.
Admin Choice: PM_PikachuKicks: FACT - Ehkohz simply is a stellar player. She's done a lot for PM, has some late-match wins like dynamite has, I like the fact that she's an All-Star.
REG_Master_Asia: FACT - What, you're gonna name booter-boy arrogant Flip or some person who left a league because of pressure? They'd choke up the All-Star match for sure. Pita's the nicest guy in YPool I think. Never causes trouble, never gets involved in it, takes this for what it is - A game. And he's good at it. And he has been good at it all season. Captains did a good job *mumbles: only because nobody else deserved it*
PF_aka_cerebro: NEUTRAL - Well, it's my post so I have the power to say this. Luis hasn't been All-Star all season. This was more of a last-minute win. Corey could've had it easily but he made 1 mistake. He messed up big-time right before the voting. As a player, if you wanna be All-Star you need to know when the match is, and you can't make an ass of yourself right before that time, so Corey is pretty much a tough-luck exclusion, and Luis ened up getting it. Course if scotter didn't go off getting banned for the Season he'd have been it. -_-
TP_SecretAgent299: FACT - Who downed jimvan in TourneyPool's win over PM with one amazing bank? That's All-Star stuff alone! But he's also been winning a good portion of the Season. Respect. Well-deserved.
CHP_mjaust: FACT - This guy has been one outstanding shooter for ChampionsPool. I'd go about as far as to compare him to slavko. Best shooter in a sub-500 team, really the backbone of CHP in my eyes.
PL_ll_fink_ll: FACT - Even Luckydog was fact, and then he gave up his spot. Fink has been on fire in 7v7. Um...I believe his loss column has a 0 and his win column has a rather high single-digit number. That's enough for me.
BBM_ll_ivey_ll: FACT - Ivey really surprised me this season. After going the first 4-5 weeks or so ineligible for playing, he turns around and starts winning, and even playing for a BBM team that had been completely broken up. That shows a tremendous amount of loyalty, and got more respect from me than I thought I'd ever give Ivey. He's playing the 9v9.
BNR_emerald_eidolon: FACT - Take your pick, emerald or jerm? Both have been big-time surprises for BNR. The team is 4-9, they'll miss Playoffs, but neither of these 2 could be to blame. They've really been the step-up men for Break and Run this season, much like Vinde was last season.
BE_pudsybear_2004: FACT - Ain't she the only one worth it? From day 1 when BE joined and played their first 2v2, pudsybear put on a clinic. She's been a great shooter all of BE's season, and there's no reason she doesn't deserve this.
Admin Choice: TP_Netty500: FACT - This was more of an MVP choice than an All-Star choice but I like it. Netty has meant more to TP than most people have meant to other leagues. It's a laughable pick but it was also my suggestion, so naturally I agree with it, and I think if you watch her play she might surprise a few.
Not as many fictions as last season, like I said even though the captains probably didn't know what they were doing, they did an OK job, Admins I think did a good job with their picks and breaking ties, All-Star Captains TBD by the end of the weekend.
