Thursday Night Predictions

Ok, so I finally talked Sean into makin' me an MLP reporter. That only took 2 seasons : But, no one cares about that; so let's get on to Thursdays matches. Oh, whats this. Three matches thats all, thank god! lol Whats better? They ALL have playoff relevance!

7pm HappyPool @ Superbpool (When the Levee Breaks): Score: 4-3 SP
SP Lookout: T_Rocket & Bomchelle
HP Lookout: ChuckMoney & CJwNY
Why?: Ok, If this was earlier in the season i probably would've been iggied by everyone on my list for making this prediction. But in the last 2 weeks SP has taken out PFN and EP while HP lost week 9 vs the Qz but came back last week and PimpSlapped UP 5-2. Did I mention if HP wins this match they move into a tie for 4th w/ XP? While an SP win moves them into a 3-way tie for 5th in the Atlantic, 1 game back of XP. I believe SP's gunna keep on truckin' this week and slip by in tight one.

7pm ChampionsPool @ Pool Legends (Afraid to Lose): Score: 5-2 PL
PL Lookout: LuckyDog71 & ll_fink_ll
CHP Lookout: mjaust & salik_bilal
Why?: Legends are tryin' to establish themselves as a respectable team in the Pacific and with a win here they may just do that. A win would move them into a tie w/ BBM @ 5-6 for that last playoff spot in the division. Errrr Houston, we have a problem. In the last 4 weeks of the season PL has the likes of BA, AF, REGS and PM staring back at them. Scary schedule, but a few lucky bounces and they may take 4th in the Pacific. A loss here and CHP can pretty much kiss the playoffs goodbye.

9pm Brean 'n' Run @ Regul8ors (Bent Cue): Score: 4-3 Regs
REGS Lookout: _flip_16 & Master_Asia
BNR Lookout: lxl_jerm_is_evil_lxl & emerald_eidolon
Why?: Ok you may say why only 4-3? Take a couple things into account: 1- The Regs arn't a team known for winning every match their suppose to. 2- I think the loss of JJ will hurt this team more then people think. 3- A BNR win will move them into a tie for 4th in the Pacific w/ BBM and possibly PL. There gunna come out gunnin'. Overall, I still feel Regs is a strong team and should be able to take out BNR; but i won't be shocked if it's closer then everyone thinks.

There yah have it, Thursdays predictions. Cubby will have the results tomorrow night and i'll post my thoughts on the BP @ SS match sometime Thursday or Friday. Good Luck tonight all leagues.

Wednesday

Not a night I saw a lot of thanks to the PoolFiction-Quez match but I'll give you what little info I can.

Atlantic - ...Nobody cares. No matches :D StraightShots-BritPool Saturday.

Central - First...CKP and XPool. XPool jumped out to a 2-0 lead and went on to win the match 4-3, it gets them out of that ugly 3-way tie at 5-5, obviously moving to 6-5, they now hold a whole game lead over CueKeepers plus the Head to Head. HappyPool only trails them by a half-game and they will take on the heating-up SuperbPool team Thursday night. CueKeepers are 5-6, and should SuperbPool win they will move ahead of CKP due to the 4-3 win SPool had over the Keepers earlier on. The big one though? Quez @ PoolFiction, but big news before the match. EFC left the Quez team after being excluded from the lineup for tonight's match, he will end up in DreamPool. Regul8or captain Master_Asia released JJ (xlx_propooler_xlx) due to his attitude, he would end up in Quez. Miz would also rejoin MLP and with his final swap of the season he's in QZ. by the way miz did not play, he was so idle in Quez it made an old man's sex drive look active. Josh wouldn't play on cam against Jammy, he accused Mr_Tintin by the way of being an aimer after Scott did, oh the irony. But nice shots would simply reign supreme in the match. Josh, perfection setting up for the 8, Quez got the lead and never looked back. After Mark got away with trying to run early and tied it up at 1, Kenny beat BizzyUK, JJ beat me and Pita can get bent for releasing him today of all days. :P PFN would try to rally, Jeremy Doyle put together a great performance at the end of his game but it would not be enough. Kyle beat optikal (coma) on a very nice bank off the left rail to the top right, put himself in position for an easy 8ball shot, and Kevin added to it. PFN gets their worst loss of the season as Quez continue to roll 5-2. 8 matches straight, but more importantly they got PFN head to head, and the Division lead. 9-2 on the season, PoolFiction also gets their first home loss, and are now only a game ahead of DreamPool, but still have Head to Head advantage there (6-1.) Next week Quez face 8BallRunners who are hungry to stay in the Playoff picture, while PoolFiction gets UnitedPool, also in the same boat. And Mick...I heard a man yelling as I went outside earlier, I think it was him he can't be too happy with a 3rd straight loss. At least the match went smoothly amongst the players. Big ups there.

Mountain - Poor everyone else the PFN-QZ match gets a whole novel and...These guys get nothing cuz there were no matches.

Pacific - Aha now here we go...PoolFighters beat Bearskin Eightballers 5-2, they had it locked up in 5. So Fighters doin their part they're up on the Regs by a half-game at 9-2, and would love nothing more than to see Break and Run pull a huge upset over them Thursday night, 54/23 they hold the 2nd-best Win/Loss record in MLP, it's also their 6th straight win. Bearskins fall to 2-7 but there is still hope, because they are potentially 4-7...That'd be great for them if BBM lost. They were facing TourneyPool here and they won 4-3 with Ivey winning game 6 to clinch it. The match would be changed however to 5-2 BBM after ipage17 couldn't send his cam tape at all, and I still wonder why people bother lol. But hey TP is now 6-5, while the BeerBallers are 5-6 and out of the tie for now. Problem is Pool Legends can still tie with them should they beat ChampionsPool, and BNR can possibly tie them still as well. But for now it's all behind BBM, and they hold 4th place outright by a half-game. They also have head to head on TourneyPool now should that come into play later.

So, entertaining night, PFN continues on one of their worst if not their absolute worst losing streaks ever in MLP, PoolFighters have no trouble taking the lead back in the Pacific if only for a day, XPool and BeerBallers claw their way out of ties momentarily as well, all of a sudden in week 11 it becomes a little harder to carry all that pressure ;)

Now the Win/Loss means a lot in MLP 3-way ties, it comes before Head to Head records unless 1 team beat the other 2 in the matches. So what was the worst win/loss record to get in? This'll be by percentage by the way. In Season 3, Vegas Shooters became the first team (I wasnt here for season 1 so not sure about then) and only team to make the Playoffs with a sub-500 record. They finished 6-7, with a .472 win/loss average. They did all this despite an 0-7 forfeit to heavy favorites in the NL to make the Playoffs LuckyPool, Jack and Rose turned the team around from there and snuck in over TruPoolers and Champion Pool Shooters. Just another trip down memory lane from the little kid of MLP.
