Fairly Quick Thursday Post

I'm tired yes. Barely stayin awake so...blah.

Atlantic - ...Celtics got bent over tonight -_-

Central - Superbpool heating up, as is HappyPool they both met tonight, a win practically a must for both. HP to stay level with XPool and give themselves an outside shot at the Playoffs, even though HP holds the tiebreaker, SuperbPool trying to edge back to within a game of those same XPoolers. All went well early for SPool they jumped out to a 3-1 lead, the only loss in those first 4 was Chelle's first loss in MLP, paris_in_flamez had an impressive performance in game 1 for SP but...Aside from T_Rocket continuing on his all-star campaign no good news for SuperbPool. Nice shooting performances from CJwNY, winner of the last Reg. Jump, xlx_elite_xlx2004, and substitute Captain Chuck_Money gave HappyPool a 4-3 comeback win, SP's +2 streak ends while HP hits +2. So SuperbPool 2 back with 4 to play, CueKeepers 1 back, and HP trailing XPool due to tiebreaker rules. HappyPool however still has one monster schedule looking them in the face in the closing weeks, look for dazed to tell everyone XPool gets to the Playoffs for the first time since Season 2.

Mountain - Rocky Mountain Hiiiiiiiiiiiiigh...Coloradooooo....

Pacific - Well, interest! We begin with ChampionsPool visiting Pool Legends, LuckyDog not at the match due to family reasons, and you're about to find out how important he is to this team. CHP also held a 3-1 lead as premlor, derailedheart, and a good chocie for CHP All-Star mjaust picked up wins. However poolstud1111 and poollegends2005 rallied for PL to send it to game 7. l3ams_a_legend, lethaled, Lethal passes up a bank to try and safety late in the game. leaves a shot for Bam, who begins a tear which included an amazing cut shot from high middle of the table to the bottom right. Next shot, easy position on the 8 but he botches it. Safeties himself behind lethal's 7ball, and some number of rails english cuebank was about as close as Canada is to Brazil, lethaled and ChampionsPool survive, they are 4-6 and technically 5th in the Pacific. Only a half-game behind BBM who ripped them up 1-6 earlier in the season, before the fiasco with PM. ChampionsPool's toughest oppnent in the final 4 weeks are the Pool Hustlers, should they beat BE and win every match except the PH one that they will finish 8-7, but they'll need big wins and a 4-way tie involving BBM, CHP, TP, and one other team would be their best bet. CHP is a long shot to regain their once-expected Playoff status, but TJ Sorrentine from Vermont tells us even a long shot can be a good one. Pool Legends an even longer shot as they are 4-7, a game behind BBM expected to finish 8-7 themselves, Legends still have Finest, Breakers Alley, Masters, and Regs...A lot of pressure in tough matches for the remainder of their season. Now staying in the Pacific, cue control or lack thereof was the main cause of BNR's 2-5 loss to the Regul8ors tonight. Trace stole game 1 over brown_skinnedgirl after the wrong english caused her to scratch, but after flip won to make it 2-0 in all his arrogance BNR battled back. emerald_eidolon, a possible All-Star, along with patriciamalkin whose shooting you could argue is All-Star stuff with BNR, were the only 2 wins. npm_james took game 5, der_rick won the clincher, Zero Burn 911 added salt to the wound, Regs reclaim the Pacific lead at 9-2, tied with PF who they of course beat 4-3. Interesting sidenote, should either team win next week they will have clinched a Playoff spot. But of course, the top spot in the Division is a battle that we could see settled in Week 15. Preview: TP @ PF, PL @ REG...Neither team guaranteed a win but the Regs play last they know what they need to do. Both matches are Thursday June 2nd.

Speaking of tiebreakers, the largest tie at the end of a season was of course the one in the AL, 4 teams all tied at 6-6 (LPL, SCPG, Cue Killers, and Breakers Alley), LPL and SCPG advanced, the 2 leagues I played for that season go figure, last season 4 teams tied at 5-8 in the NL but it took a few more wins than that so I guess I mean Season 2 held the only ever 4-way tiebreak to get into the Playoffs. 4-way ties are starting to look less likely this season but hey...We play the games for a reason. Oh by the way, SCPG came inches away from beating the World Series PFN team in Season 2, but that's only thanks to a ridiculous DQ -_- no wonder PFN saluted the Red Sox during Season 4 :P

"Just Shut Up!" Results

...2 votes. What a waste of time that was -_- but 2-0 the vote was for me to shut up about Cam over Sophie's constant rambling about Chelsea :( I bet if I picked Theike goin on about man City I'd have had less against me :/ Oh well not a real vote anyways 2 people I have more cats than that :D But I'll shut up for now ;)

Incoming: Playoff Predictions

Ok Cubby and I have decided to make some predictions on the fast-approaching playoffs. He'll be covering the National League (since im NL) and I'll be doing the American League (since he's AL), just so there's no bias :P wouldn't want that now! So just a little heads up because we'll be posting this stuff sometime this weekend, whenever we find out the playoff format for sure lol. So have a good one and we'll be accepting bribes until saturday at 12 noon. Offer enough and we may just say your team will go to the Conference Championship :) Peace

All-Star Stuff

Well it's all been figured out as far as the All-Star match itself. Captains will be able to recommend players to the Admins for the All-Star match, and they will have their own vote as to who gets in. The other 8 spots will come from the Admins, since of course there are 8 teams in a Division. The player's choice, well blame the kids that went out campaigning for votes cuz it's not in this season. The captains will be asked to pick players carefully based on results, attendance, sportsmanship, team spirit, and how much they like the Boston Red Sox (example: Kenny from QZ is ineligible for being a Yankee fan) ;) Anyways, that's what I have for now, don't forget the Playoff Picture page featured under "MLP Links" on the top right side of the MLP page, which Sophie is updating right now :)
