Week 12 Picks

StraightShots @ MadSkillz - 4-3 MadSkillz
I'm getting bored with underrating this MadSkillz team. They showed a lot last week, regardless of whether or not PF is upset-prone. Pete and king_hustler have been doing exactly what they're on that team to do: Close out with wins. While StraightShots have their own stash of top players, I think MadSkillz will win and, due to a lot of tweaking in the Standings, give EZ8 that Atlantic Division.

EZ8Pool @ Lava Pool Lounge - 4-3 LPL
EZ8 could also clinch the Division with a win here. They plan on that. The only team able to tie would be StraightShots, and that'd be Head-to-Head. In any case, LPL is actually right back in the hunt with their loss to SuperbPool being reversed, could you imagine if they somehow pulled off another miracle run to reach the Playoffs? Yikes. But...Can they knock off these soon-to-be Division Champs EZ8? I think you're looking at an upset.

HotShotz @ UnitedPool - 4-3 UnitedPool
GLENNO FINALLY GOT A WIN! ...Except UnitedPool's gonna win this week. UP came in, and cry early 8 all you want, they beat PoolMasters, and when it's all said and done, that's what counts. Players to watch here are ketan and mag_1c, I've said it a few times. Those are my 2 bets on wins, one of 'em might take out Glenno.

PoolFighters @ NewCastle - 5-2 PoolFighters
No I can't go with NewCastle here, though it's very tempting. PF like I said have been upset-prone. If they aren't careful, they could lose this match. Romper will have to continue to do his job for NC to have a chance, but they also have to stop relying on him. NewCastle has to buckle down and at least produce some wins, so they don't end the season at the bottom of the conference. However, in all likelihood corey, luis, and tyler will wake up and decimate the team.

Breaker's Alley @ CueKeepers - 6-1 CueKeepers
This is no contest. BA likely won't even show up with a team let alone a team good enough to take on CKP. They have been stunning with Rob as their captain, he knows how to run this team and get them to win matches. Next?
Regul8ors @ PoolHustlers - 5-2 Regul8ors
PH aren't interested in winning matches anymore, they've made that very clear. Regs of course, they had a win taken from their record in the wake of the MJ situation. But, they'll bounce back from this and jump into the Playoffs. Hopefully Theike has a very deep roster for the Playoffs, that's what he's promising anyways.

LuckyPool @ BeerBallers - 5-2 BBM
Easy: BBM want to win the Conference, this is just a stepping stone on the way to that. LKP did beat the Hustlers, mucho credit for that, but BBM have such a great team. Add to that someone named Clogz who has been downright nasty this season. BBM will put themselves in a position to play the Outlaws for the conference next week.

PoolFiction @ PoolPimps - 4-3 PoolFiction
Don't be alarmed it won't come down to Game 7, PFN likely won't have Marty now, that means Zame is going to have to move into the game 7 spot if needed. Don't forget PFN has also nabbed outperform from the Outlaws, PoolPimps have some talent on their team as well, so don't underestimate them. But I'm sticking with this PoolFiction 13-0 deal.

PoolMasters @ BlackSilver - 5-2 BlackSilver
What? No 4-3? Why? PoolMasters have to put this huge loss to UnitedPool behind them if they want to hang on to their Playoff spot. BlackSilver is right there next to them, saying "HEY WHAT'S UP?" If PM does not win this match, they're not making the Playoffs. Hey, no pressure guys! Crypt is expected to be back in the lineup, and they didn't even need him to house the ElitePoolers. Yiiiiikes?

BritPool @ SuperbPool - 4-3 BritPool
SuperbPool are now 4-7...heh. This MJ business killed them and any hopes of Playoff matches they had. Now they just have to focus on getting wins for pride, which is what BritPool has been focussing on just about all season. It's likely to be a game 7 affair now that SP doesn't have MJ playing for them, and goodbye sober dayz you made a tardy comment on the shoutbox. Fair play.

Pool Outlaws @ Break And Run - 5-2 Outlaws
Easy pick again: Outlaws are gonna whoop BNR. I hate to say it, but that's how it is. BNR will likely get a win from redhot and badalnighter, but as long as none of the crap starts up like the PH-BNR business, I'll be satisfied.

So now...Look ahead quickly to week 14 and the matchups that matter: Monday night CueKeepers need a win against NewCastle, they'll get it. Outlaws-BeerBallers on Tuesday night for the NL #1 seed, if all goes as planned this week. All 4 matches Wednesday have playoff seed implications, while Thursday 's matches...not as important.
