Forfeits Lowlight Tonight's Matches
First we start with Pool Loverz hosting Straightshots coming off a game 7 forfeit to Malditos and losing 4-3.
SS_e_n_cl_i_k_a_y - PZ_unbullevable - Very well played game by NDK... Up until he got to his final stripe, the 14. Couldn't leave an easy shot for it. But if he could bank the cue off the left rail and make it top right, the 8ball would be easy... Nope. Unbullevable goes on to win pretty easily, and it's 1-0 PZ
SS_lll_rees_lll - PZ_tifabtx - Pretty average game. Late cluster of balls all in the top right corner. Rees had the disadvantage of having his stripes blocked by tifabtx's solids. In the end it would be tifa gaining the advantage, and making the final few solids to give PZ the 2-0 advantage.
SS_straight.sh0ts - PZ_giddyup.again - Captain Larry (no relation to Captain Morgan) for the Pool Loverz as they look for the 3-0 advantage. Larry of course not one to slowplay, he goes right for the run in the early goings. He would be unsuccessful, but his counterpart on the other hand... Not so unsuccessful. 7 solids, and the 8, SS on the board, now down 2-1.
SS_SS_Steve - PZ_p.etal - Steve made this one quick and painless. 8ball run, ties the match up at TWO!
SS_spanky_77_es - PZ_xl_0wnag3_lx - ownage returns the favor. 7 stripes, then the 8, boy this one REALLY quick match! 3-2 PZ now back on top.
But, steven.rules and weirdx.alien would get the wins by forfeit, in that order, because PZ ran out of players, AGAIN! So 4-3 SS the final... Sad as it is.
So this makes TWO matches in a row that Pool Loverz have had to forfeit with a lead or a chance to win. I mean, if they had ANYONE at all, there's a good chance they win at least 4-3. It really is sad.
Oh, it doesn't get much better either...
CZ_treymannn - CKP_motown.champion - Begin 50-minute game sequence. First 4 balls made were Trey's solids, though not all by him. As is the usual with these types of matches, nobody realized they're just here to play pool, and not be tools. Anyways at the end, Trey nails a nice cuebank off the bottom rail, making the 6-ball top right. But instead of try to make the 5 and set up for his final solid... He safetied. So Ben would try to counter-safety... But did leave Trey an easy shot on the 5. Question being: Could he leave the 4ball shot to get to the 8? No. Trey would make the 11 by banking the cue into the 4-11 combo. He DID leave the 13, however. Ben would make that, and the 8, and win it. CKP goes up 1-0.
CZ_mvp.choker - CKP_conor_b_1992 - Much quicker game here... Conor breaks, and runs, and gives CKP the 2-0 lead. Simple as.
CZ_sir.mighty - CKP_get_drewed - Aaron will try to return the favor as he breaks, and looks to run. He'd miss early though. Basically every safety Drew tried, Aaron broke. He'd try to make an absurd cut on the 11 (the first ball he missed actually) from the dead center of the table to the top left, but that didn't go. Drew would finish, and give CKP the 3-0 lead.
CZ_IMHIGHER - CKP_ckpaa13 - Kind of a boring game, but at the end Mickey makes the 13, and spins the cueball along the top of the table to make the 9, he then completely screws up and blocks himself off the 8. Later, Mickey trying a desperation shot, goes 3-rails on the 8 and MAKES IT in the top middle! ... Except he called the bottom middle and CKP leads 4-0. Other results:

Initially I think we all thought Chris was a tool when he took over for Mickey and denied Jess a chance to play game 7 to get at least some credit. But I'm looking... I don't even think she had the 5 tourney games =/ Either way CKP wins it 5-2, and come back in convincing fashion after a tough loss to 8BR.
