Sophie and David apparently have one thing in common...
Tonight she DQ'd FearNo1 of BBM because of a black box that showed up during the tape. Let's also add this was against Krunal. That box, which was proven by lvlighty (aaron) to be caused simply by lag, was blamed on Zach by Sophie. She never even took back that remark either, when she told him to fix the settings next time. There was nothing TO fix. There was no fault on Zach's part. Right after Aaron left, Sophie said "stick to pro" (she intended to say this before he left.)
Well that's funny, she just hired an admin from PRO as a duty admin, according to what she told me earlier today. Paul, I believe it is? And why stick to PRO? Is it because you don't want someone who actually knows much more than you do about cam tapes around? That must be it, unless there's some kind of reasoning I'm missing. The head admin is always right. That sounds familiar, hence the title.
Now, this isn't to say I'm a fan of FearNo1 or care one bit for half of his dumbass buddies like Brian, Gaz, etc., but he got totally jobbed and Sophie could do nothing more than blame him for it, instead of apologizing. Sadly, the above-mentioned folks I can barely stand, had a legitimate point. Shame, really.
Eddie Quits, Division III house-cleaning.
BAB are out as we all know (YAY), as are NC, PP, and REG. They, as you may know, failed to show for week 1. Pool Pals were the most likely of the 4 to return, but apparently they're all byebye.
As for Division II no-shows Pool Master, the reason for a no-show was described as "personal" and they do intend to bring a team for Week 2.
Running from break
But what is the alternative to running? Tap breaks required? Does this mean MLP will become MLS (Major League Snookering)? Is the object not to run the table, by making 7 balls of a certain type and then legally potting the 8? Are you saying rather than run the tables, players should... Intentionally miss? They shouldn't play their absolute best?
Folks this is competition. If someone runs a no-name player in the All-Star game, why do we all of a sudden expect them to get a rerack? I've said this for so long - the majority of Yahoo Pool is luck. Sometimes you place a ball where you want to, other times it goes (or doesn't go) where you want it. Sometimes you get matched up with a player who will give you a shot, other times you won't.
There really is no need to be angry about anyone who uses a run break. The real issue is when they run you and say good game. Good game implies that you, the loser, actually played and put up a competition against the winner. Obviously you didn't. Anyways, that's it for me today until the Tour. Cya there :)
