Tuesday Night
Atlantic - The Outlaws are the first team in MLP this season to clinch a Playoff spot so big ups to them. Their 6-1 swamping of ElitePool tonight was nothing special, it was only their 5th 6-1 victory of the season, their 10th straight and they are 10-1 with that only loss coming to a now-shakey MadSkillz team. According to Judy, Full_Blast got bombed during his game which is also nothing new to an ElitePool match. But I actually doubt the usual hecklers from EP's room were in on this. Just a gut feeling. EP drops to 3-8, 2 whole games out of 4th place again, right in between BritPool and StraightShots who will meet Saturday night.
Central - PoolFiction hosts Quez tomorrow night for the lead in the Division!
Mountain - PoolHustlers took care of business in BlackSilver's room winning in 5 games, Brandon (scpoolplaya) won yet again, continuing with his All-Star season. The overall result was 5-2, the only 2 BS wins coming from Vickie and Lara who won in game 7. With the W, PoolHustlers advance to 8-3 on the season, they're on the bottom end of a tie with PoolMasters, who beat them 3-4 before PH starting whooping up on everyone. Both PH and PM are only a game out of 1st place held of course by AbsoluteFinest, who will be tested immensely in the final few weeks of this season. Something at the end of the HotShotz match got me too. Their captain said "we are only 2 games out of first place!" Well no you're 2.5 out, 2 if you beat Bearskins but they also have their sights set on getting ahead of AF. So really the top 4 all have their goals set, AF will be in dogfights all season and they'll need to play their matches knowing there is World War 3 brewing underneath them. (3 teams, WW3, clever huh?) Although many of you don't care they do deserve the mention. PoolPimps brought what their captain called their "best roster all season" to play their home match against Breakers Alley. Pimps jumped off to a 4-0 lead, helped greatly by a pair of early 8s from BA. Pimps would eventually win 5-2 as Breakers only had 6 players for the match. Breakers Alley becomes the first 10-game loser of the season, a mark WildAngels are flirting with. Breakers yet to win an away match...They've only played 3 compared to their 8 home matches. Pimps 3-8, tied with BlackSilver, 3.5 behind HotShotz who are at 6-4. I think the best thing for PLP is to try and get this team they had tonight as often as possible, and carry it over to Season 6 should they return.
Pacific - THE TIGHTEST DIVISION IN MLP! ACTION FOR THE WEEK STARTS WEDNESDAY FINALLY! It's super scintillating sensational baby! :))
With all these long win streaks (PO, QZ, PM, PH, and you can add the +5's from PF and REG), can you guess what the longest win streaks to end each season were? I'm gonna tell ya. Season 4: Even though the Standings page says +11 notice EZ8 was 10-3 lol. BlackSilver was 1-5 through 6 weeks, they steal the #6 seed from PoolMasters on a 7-match win streak. Season 3? Duh. Outlaws become the first and only ever undefeated team in MLP's Regular Season, they finish 13-0 and of course win the World Series over PoolFiction. Season 2...A 3-way tie. Breakers Alley, Pool Outlaws, Break and Run all finish with 3-match win streaks, Cue Keepers are marked as +3 but they lost a final-week makeup match to the Outlaws which didn't count against their record. Good memory cubby. Season 1...Unstoppable was just that in the final 4 of the 7-match season, they would go on to win the World Series. Just for kicks, the longest losing streak to finish a season by a Playoff team? ...-1.
Tuesday Picks
Pool Hustlers @ BlackSilver - Hustlers are really hot rigt now and that's the same boring stuff I've said past few weeks. Don's back there, Brandon's still playing amazingly well, Si, Theike who of course has captained this team to a huge streak, they're all trying to catch PoolMasters. Well there's a team called BlackSilver staring down Elimination pretty much. They need to win out and even then it's not very likely they wind up in the Playoffs. They have a lot to fight for, but I think PH is gonna win 5-2.
Breakers Alley @ PoolPimps - I would literally be guessing. Nobody knows if either team will bring players, none of their players are really anything to write home about except lately BA's stonecoldshooter, and drew from PoolPimps. Otherwise this is like going to watch T-Ball. Watch if ya want but I'll just throw a guess. 4-3 PLP.
