New Prediction Format :)
Sean: 8BR can reasonably win this match and here's why and I don't need to type a lot: Miz, Trouble4some, copenhagen, t0xxic, and mspoolpro. They're all either undefeated or were after week 5 with the exception of Trouble who had an odd start, and copenhagen who hasn't been playingn as good as he actually is. They may not match up too well against the Outlaws who are simply loaded with talent, but they are players who can get 2-4 wins as a group, on a consistent basis.
Chris: They may be undefeated, but lets take a look at who they have played. XP, MZ, EP, DP, CKP, BP. I only see two solid teams in there, MZ and DP (both which they beat). Shockingly, the mediocre teams of xp ep and bp beat 8br. So if this pattern continues and they step it up in the big games then they should hang in there with PO.
Sean: Well there's no doubt that none of them have seen the all-star lineup the Outlaws have I mean even their worst player, some CoolCalmChris kid, is decent. But seriously, the Outlaws should win this match, they've got all the weapons, they've got reserves that could beat most anybody in MLP. Now while I wouldn't put it past 8BR to come out with an upset, I do have to take Austin, Jamie, insert ANY Outlaw here, to win 4-3.
Chris: I'm leaning towards 5-2 (PO) just because I am a part of that team. I know how serious PO is going into this. I wont be suprised if we manage a 6-1 win but 8br is skilled and its all up to chance. (No I'm not being biased...)
LKP @ BA
Sean: This isn't even gonna be a close one, or shouldn't be. LuckyPool's just simply better than Breakers Alley. This isn't the season 2 team they had that was capable of making playoffs, this is a team that has players who just wanna play for fun, and they don't understand the whole game. This should be an easy 5-2 or 6-1 for LuckyPool, when you have the players they do.
Chris : LKP has been in the middle of the pack this season and either wins by a good amount or loses. They've had 3 5-2's this season and I'll add another for their (LKP) 4th 5-2 win over BA. BA did beat BBM 4-3. Yet again, it's BBM. So that doesn't count too much.
Sean: LKP has a problem with getting their team together more than once a week. When that becomes an issue, then if you get caught on a bad day, you're very vulnerable.
LPL @ UP
Sean: These are 2 teams that seem equal on pape, but the obvious edge goes to LPL. Their team includes ruffer, ogges, amir, skips, romper, I mean these guys are good players. The 3 best for UP in my estimation are GodsAccess, Ketan, and Iceman. Everyone else is just so-so. As long as LPL has answers for those 3, and maybe gooner, and the rest of the team plays as good as they have been, they (LPL) should win 4-3 or 5-2. I leave out badking from UnitedPool because the guy couldn't win on a timer for cryin out loud he's -11, maybe it's time to change something up.
Chris: I agree (for once you bitch) that LPL has the edge. Their players enjoy a slow boring snooker game from time to time and think things out. I say 6-1 LPL win over UP.
BBM @ PF
Sean: Well if this were last season it'd really be a nice match. But this season bbm has slipped, and not just because of their new captain, but even before that. They had really struggled, but lately so have the Poolfighters. But really, I think PF is a lot more stable, they've got Krunal and Adnan who are huge pickups, add Luis if he shows, Danny, Scotter, I think PF has this 5-2.
Chris: Don't forget Corey you fat cubby. I agree on the Krunal and Adnan pick up. BBM still has some threats in em. I would like to say 4-3 but PF is too strong. 5-2 PF Win
PM @ HS
Chris : PM is too solid. They've been active in BLT and if they continue to show they will have an easy time. Ehkohz , Blue (Chris) and i_havethep0wer can all pick up wins. They (PM) will win this one 6-1 despite losing LuckyDog.
Sean: This really is a tough one to call. You can't help but be impressed with HotShotz. They have been a lot more than what was expected of them so far this season. They were able to take down an off-key PoolFighters team, their only loss was to ChampionsPool, PM on the other hand have players like Ehkohz, Crazy Qe, Pool perfection, Blue, jimvan, and how about the fact that they have back to back tour wins from damn balls r killin me? He should also play in this match if he's around, and active enough in their Captain's eyes. I'm gonna take PM to win 5-2, but I would not be surprised one bit if HotShotz pull off this win.
Chris : I'm still leaning towards 6-1 despite what you said. I got PH vs AF right on the dot. I will this one too :)
Monday
BritPool @ MadSkillz - MadSkillz looking for a win to keep the pressure up on the Outlaws. game 1 and game 1 ONLY of the first 3 which i was there for, we had some lag. 26 minute game 1 between MZ's Mad Killer and BP's Forest Hill. Forest tried an early run, nothing doing there. They'd basically safety a lot until the 18 minute mark when forest intentionally gives ball in hand and accidentally gives the game. Great positioning on the run-out from Amar, and then the cross-table 8, bottom right, he's good ain't he? 1-0 MadSkillz. But BritPool wasn't done, Gaz for MZ against Chaos182 of BritPool. Remember Gaz lost last week and the book on him is 1 word - "Choker." After an unsuccessful run attempt he'd get yet another shot. But instead of using backspin to come off the rail behind the cue in get in position to clear away the 8 on the next shot, he decided to use side-spin which...did very little. He left a shot for his final ball but it was pretty much a slim-chance shot to free the 8. Gary would try the impossible double-bank, and miss. So Chaos, 6 balls, 8ball, and I just fast forwarded it on Cam Studio and God did his run look so cool. Chaos, impressive, BritPool, Tied 1-1. And so to break the tie, Sniper Aims vs. Jamie 1499 MZ and BP respectively, sniper trying to run it all out after a boatload of safeties, it wouldn't happen that way. He got safetied behind his own ball, and Jamie went to work. Nothing stunning here just flat-out confidence and good shots down the stretch, Jamie knew exactly what he wanted to do with each shot, executed it, it was simply good. BritPool up 2-1, they would go on to win it 4-3 and they had it locked up in 6. So add MadSkillz to the list of upset victims at the hands of BritPool, but what's wrong with MadSkillz? 8BR was an understandable loss but BritPool? Yikes, downward spiral for this team. Anyways, BritPool goes to 2-5, and they're actually not dead in the water being that they're only a game and a half out of the #4 spot. BritPool has been the league that bigger league just don't want to see, because they've been so incredible when it comes to upsetting them. They certainly do have it in 'em to get a 4th spot, question is can they?
PoolHustlers @ AbsoluteFinest - 6-0 AF looking to continue the unbeaten run...PH just sitting there laughing and with good reason. Don, remember him? Left PH for BBM, he's back, and AF are thinking "aww jesus why?" he won over AF Captain GoodByeSaysItAll, Theike actually played game 2 here and oh by the way he won as well, that against Specialist80. Then Dazed came in game 3 and ran australia's finest, according to Ryan. 3-0, make it 4. Pimpin Sam took down AF's Austen, and PH's Brandon also won over RvDBLADE. AF's only 2 wins came from Derek and Fire Wolf...5-2 PH absolutely dominates AF in their home room. Hustlers pull within 2 games of AF, HotShotz at 4-1 have a chance to go 5-1, and even tie AF for the Division if they make up the BE match. HotShotz host PM Tuesday night, part of a 5-match night. So what's next for AF? They have ChampionsPool next Monday, certainly not a match you don't want to go into 100%, while the Hustlers also face a good opponent in TourneyPool. It's-a gonna be fun eh?
StraightShots @ ElitePool - Oh two teams hungry for a win this'll be close...Ha, yeah right. ElitePool crushed the 'Shots here...It was so ugly...I can hardly find the words to describe it. Liquor_store_world_tour beat Hermetron of SS in game 1, american pool kid over sweetmae as he improves to 5-1, this one against his former team, here_kyle_is stole one against crazy_cananuck, EP Captain Cadillac Pimpin was able to down Stick, how about UltimateHack and the seaosn he's having? He gets Yahoo Railed against Dizzydevil 316, but dizzy gets stuck with the cue in the pocket on his next shot. Misses after, Hack grabs the win, yes this match was uuuuugly. Mr Tintin back in EP for the 2nd week, missed the 8 once, barely missed on a very nice cuebank attempt, well vegas let him have a wide open shot after trying an absolutely...stupid is the only word that comes to mind... combo, 3rd time a charm EP up 6-0. But...Nicki the SS captain, she gets a chance late to run, and makes 4 stripes and the 8 against Crazy135 for the only StraightShots win of the night...EP still wins 6-1. So what's up here? Well EP is now 3-4, just a half-game out of 4th place. StraightShots...1-6...Their only win was week 1. Something drastic has to happen in SS, I mean it's a shame enough that their good players left them, but this 1-6 start? Worst season they've ever had they finished with 5 losses. Sad story over there because you really hate to see a team struggle like this especially with what they've had to go through.
PoolPimps @ BlackSilver - Caught this one in game 4, BS up 3-0 and it didn't change any. Crypt6uardian beat HermitStool with a nice 5-ball runout, but the Pimps would win a couple of the irrelevant games. l3lazer fan a NIIIIIIIIIICE cuebank off the top rail to drain the 4ball top right, he would finish off X_Monkey. Former WildAngel IrishRose beat out Pimp jl i3oi with a nice 4-solid run that included a simple combo to the top right, and in game 7 hit the ganja beat Babe Lisa *sniffles* but oh well her team still smokes the Pimps 5-2. So...BS now 2-5 along with the Pimps. Difference is that's the Pimps' 4th loss in a row. But it's not totally hopeless for either team, of course if you asked me now who had a better chance of playing a 16th game I'd instantly say BlackSilver. Course..BS takes on PoolFighters next week in Advanced Lounge, while the PoolPimps take on BeerBallers, and son of a gun...BBM and PF meet Tuesday night in that 5-match mess.
