Alright, time to pick the Playoffs!

So we start the playoffs the week after Thanksgiving, rather than have the All-Star week then, because apparently nobody cares about Thanksgiving (the turnout says otherwise, but I digress.)

Cheap Shotz @ United Nations of Yahoo - UNY isn't really that good. Nick returned just in time to save what is, aside from him, a laughable admin team and thus, kept the league afloat in MLP. But really, with Wooter out for this match (and yes, I realize that leaves Marcy available to play, blah blah blah...) Cheap Shotz are clearly better. Before, UNY had a decent chance. Now, they really don't. Bam has fallen off the face of the Earth, Brandon is probably their best player which doesn't say a whole hell of a lot, while Cheap Shotz have Paul and Pommy to counter that, and a lot more depth to boot. Cheap Shotz win this match, it'll go 5 games.

Lucky Shots @ Straightshots - SS basically has exactly 7 people who have any chance of actually showing up, and it's unclear whether or not they are able to download cam on their computers. Translation: They don't want to download cam on their computers, and are saying they can't so we don't wonder why the hell they're in MLP anyways. Lucky Shots are better, they SHOULD win in 4 or 5 games. BUT, if SS shows with 7 available players, they need to go with their best right off the start. Koty will likely be a little late, and SS doesn't have enough to contend with Koty, Trio, and Ray when they play at their best. I'll go with LS in 5.

MagicPool @ UnitedPool - UnitedPool played a full season and went 9-5. MagicPool walked into a Playoff-guaranteed record (4-1), and went 5-8. UntiedPool contributed to that with a 6-1 massacre. Do I really need to justify this further? Of course, they both have 8 or 9 players eligible so it just comes down to who actually shows up. Ketan will play Ian, Pascal will play Roy, and then the rest of UP's guys right down the line are better until you get to lager and by then the match will probably be over. I say UnitedPool wins in 6 here.

Malditos @ Pool Legends - Miz is still lurking, and I have little doubt that he'll play. PL will likely be without Ross, so there's another red flag. With that said... I still think PL is the favorite here. Luckydog and Miz would play each other if it came to that, and in a longer game I like Sova more than I do Miz. He's like Luis, Lite - a runner. And that's if he even shows up. Otherwise, MLD is REALLY screwed. If Miz shows, PL in 7. If he doesn't, PL in 5. Either way - PL will play in the NL Championship Game.

Cheap Shotz @ 8Ball Runners - 8BR is just better. One of the two most dominant leagues MLP has ever seen, and they both played in this season. CZ might trip them up a little bit, but I think 8BR, led by Zack, MJ, etc., will come out of the smoke with a win. For CZ, they have to just fire off their best players at the start and hope to get Corey, MJ, and Zack out of the way early and try to work from there. That likely won't happen, 8BR wins in 5 or 6 games.

AL Champtionship: UnitedPool @ 8Ball Runners - 8BR just steamrolls. Pascal and ketan will put up a fight, but even after that, Runners are just too deep. WAY too deep. I even doubt Ketan's and Pascal's ability to beat 8BR's best. Runners win in either a sweep, or in 5 games to go to the World Series, as expected.

Good luck to all leagues next week!
