Monday's results
Let's kick it off shall we? Yahoo problems, AF's room Surrender closed due to toilet maintenance so we'll head to the land of lag, Break and Run's room. TourneyPool jumped off to a 1-0 lead as Netty was able to put away Absolute Finest's fire_wolf, after a valiant run attempt from the player whom I will refer to as...the other wolf. Netty then...unlike her Absolute Finest counterpart was able to enjoy the wonders of a wide open table, easy pickings. Wouldn't take long for derek to put on a show throughout his game and level it all up at singles, running 6 stripes against Goochonfire. Tied 2-2 later on, ida_ho_hunter for TP, Maverick615 for AF, the unter chokes on the easy 8, Maverick takes the time to make sure not to return the favor, Finest on the hill 3-2. Game 6 it's that texas outlaw guy from TourneyPool against lllvlll_p00ler_lllvlll...Outlaw with a shot that looks like there's a good chance he'll get the shaft from Yahoo. Aaaaaaand yeah that's a glitch. P00ler then proceeds to finish off any chance of TP tying it up, and all his rowdy friends are comin over tonight. p00ler clinches it, RVDBlade would go on to win game 7, final score 5-2 AbsoluteFinest.
XPool and 8BallRunners, this one not even a match. XPool in the first 5 games? 5-0. In some interleagues that's a sweep good games cya next week. In MLP that leaves 2 more games. Pizzaskater15 to take on mike_scop. pizza says XPool, earlier, is unstoppable. Judy and WildAngels your thoughts? Mike_scop would put him away. The other guy talkin it, someone named xxx_chokey_xxx. Name kinda says it all. So while he's talking it, and I play through the tape of this game, let's bring up his result from last week courtesy of my Dodger fan friend who loves Derek Lowe, Hill. Oh ok, so he lost last week. Well he's stuck now against 8BR's Trouble4some...and when chokey gets to the 8...yeah, you kinda guessed it. Trouble4some just knocks down his final stripes, yeah chokey's now 0-2...Hand the talkin duties to someone else I guess. Final score, 5-2 XPool still chews up 8BR and spits em out into the neighbor's back yard. Second time in as many weeks 8BR had been finished by game 5. They play CueKeepers next week.
Speaking of CueKeepers how'd they do against BritPool? Let's fast forward to game 5, score tied 2-2 until playinpool.fu is left with a tough bank, cueball is where it usually starts after a scratch while the 8 is near the bottom right, about a half inch off the rail and an inch and few inches from bottom right, which is blocked by the 7. makes the shot of the night, off the bottom rail to the top right pocket, on the tough angle, in a tied match, oh the Keepers love him. game 6 frustrating moment for BritPool, mind_da_pool, BP captain, getting booted apparently during his game, IM bomb, stuff like that, and he's easy to upset. Wasn't happy, didn't have too many kind words for anyone either, he would by the way lose...but kathy grneyes would beat Brandi in game 7. However, too little too late, CKP wins it 4-3 still.
Bonkers, circus, bananas, weird controversial finish in this one BeerBallers against Breaker's Alley. Now remember BBM is the away team they choose first. BBM ace Don would lose game 1 to hippichick. Towelie would tie it up in game 2, Breakers would take the lead again as BBM captain Scott fell in his game. Finally BBM would get the lead in game 5 with back to back wins from The Great Zero and Clogz. Game 6...They wanna call some makaveli guy but he's not in MLP so guess what, Breakers Alley and BBm are both again caught in improbable 3-3 deadlocks. Game 7 will be Ivey, against...Well Breakers Alley goes on timer. The ump will be rounding minutes, remember that. Admin on duty robbie says he can help a player who had to change her ID, who stumbled in late, but didn't know her pass. Ump times the Breakers out but the loss is still given to the BA player. BBM wins 4-3 on timer, Ivey happy, right? Well...Just a couple hours ago, after conferring with a few admins on the matter, it's discovered by myself, and apparently Trace had heard something of it even beforehand, that Ivey doesn't have the 10 tourney games required to play in MLP. In fact he's 0-0 in tourneys. Therefore, controversial timeout? Wiped. Kamasutra_Goddess awarded the win over ll_ivey_ll and guess what? That means instead of 4-3 BeerBallers, Breakers Alley has been given the 4-3 win instead! So now both teams as of right now are 1-1, though I suppose there is always the possibility of a second overruling, so those who took BBM in Hill's pickem don't throw a fuss juuuuuuust yet.
But, I do have to touch on something...This whole rounding off to the minute deal. A timer could go on 10 seconds prior to a new minute starting, and instead of 10 minutes, a team could get 9:10. There was certainly not a full ten minutes given in the BA match tonight and it nearly did cost them, if not for the ineligibility of Ivey. So I leave everyone with a question: Do MLP Umpires need timer programs instead of rounding minutes? That be all for tonight.

Me: Ok, As last weeks winner of cam jump, What made u choose to enter cam jump since 91.9 % of people know you're legit?
Chris : Many reasons. 1) Double Points..I gotta help out my league in the tour. 2)It's better competition. No offense to any of the reg jump, but if you take a look at the cam jump its the best of the best. No reason I should want to play, well, not so good players. 3) Aimers. Probably biggest reason. They really piss you off when they make that long bank in 2 seconds. I don't want to get frustrated about that, i think its supposed to be *offence lo
Me: In the Tourney who was the person u feared the most to play?
Chris : Personally, I wasn't really scared of anyone. I avoid that because it only makes you play worse. But people I didn't want to play against were probably MJ, propooler, and brandon (the_hure) just because they all have the knack to run a hard table.
Me: Who "was" the hardest person you played in it?
Chris : I would have to say LuckyDog in the finals. The pressure was there, and the fans of his were annoying =\...He did pull of a first win too, so I knew I couldnt afford another mistake. I'd also have to say MJ because he's been playing for so long that I knew he could pull something out of his ass to win. haha.

Me: Why did you switch
Chris : Because it reminded me of Season 3 when PO owned basically everyone. Plus, a lot of great friends were going there like rob, MJ, Tim, Austina and Jamie was staying so even better there. Also, Ray came, and I knew how sexy he was. And once Chris_Soccer joined, I Knew i was in the right spot. Full_Blast provided that punch and its just a group of fun guys.
Me: Yes, but arnt u worried that one of these "high calibre pool players" might take you're spot in a 7 vs 7?
Chris : No, as long as the team wins, I'm fine with it. I find more excitement in the Big League Tour anyways. But, come playoff time, 7v7 is always the best.
Me: Who do you think "PO" will have the most trouble beating in the 7 vs 7 matches
Chris : I'd have to say PF. They have Brandon, picked up Luis (again)...They're just always tough.
Me: Seeing as "PFN" beat you guys would'nt u say them?
Chris : If the teams didn't change. That would be the case, but they did. PFN lost me (big blow!) and zame is gone as well. PO changed a lot. Kevin, and his pals are gone. Austin brought in new guys. Sure, we got the big names, but skill comes with it. We're just stacked like crazy.
Me: Seeing as you made a new lg if people come along in your lg and you join in interleague with "Themob"(www.myleague.com/themob, you welcome chris ;)) will u join with ur legaue and switch teams?
Chris : Seeing as I'm HA , I'm sort of obliged to support em. Of course, I'd only enter us when we're big enough. But we can only enter at a new season too, so no switching in between the season will happen.
Me: How do u feel, losing to jack yesterday in cam jump?
Chris : Shitty. I had the game, and just didn't focus enough I guess. Missed an easy shot. I had been missing all of the tourney. Horrible compared to last week. I was just happy at how I did though. To get into the quarters playing like crap, isn't that bad
Me: Well that's pretty much it, u got anything to add.

Monday night picks
TourneyPool @ Absolute Finest to kick it all off. Last week I was quite impressed with the comeback effort TourneyPool made from down 0-3, especially against the regs. AbsoluteFinest are coming off a dismal effort last week against Breakers Alley, where of course they barely survived. RVDBlade and derek for AbsoluteFinest like I've been saying will need to be huge in order for the Finest ones to come out with the W. Even then, they need 2 other wins. Barring glitches and early 8s, and remember only the winner can offer reracks folks don't ask for them, I think TourneyPool will be able to win 4-3.
BeerBallers and Breakers Alley in Vicki'S Secret. Yes Breakers Alley pulled a 4-3 loss to Absolute Finest, but now, they've got BeerBallers. BBM a team who, quite frankly when it comes to knowing the game, are considerably smarter than the Breakers Alley players. They know when to safety, when to run, how to bank, and they know that since some or a lot of the BA players are against safeties, they're gonna just try to run. Watch 'em use this to their advantage, and win big against BA, I'll say 5-2.
XPool @ 8BallRunners. This is tough...You've got a team who I picked and got slapped around big. And a team I picked that barely lost. Now copenhagen got to the semifinal of the regular jump last night, so he's gotta be feeling pretty confident that he can bring home a win this week. Then again, shootalready got all the way to the finals. So both teams with players that went deep, but I think if spitfyr and copenhagen show up to this match, along with runningwildhorses, and of course Trouble4some, they should be able to pull a 4-3 win.
Finally, CueKeepers @ BritPool and let me correct myself thanks to Rob - river_blake was only borrowed by CKP fr playoffs last season. He's back with the Brits who came up big against 8BR. Rob may possibly be giving it all up as captain, losing interest in pool. He's going on vacation for 4 weeks and then he'll make his decision. For now, it's kingbrandi and her billion names in charge. Let's just remember how CKP did in season 3 when they went part of the way without Rob...uuuuuuuuuuugly. Then when they got him back they at least started to win a couple again. BritPool has a lot of confidence in their team I think after last week. It's too early in the season to determine whether or not anyone is "for real" here but I'll take BritPool to win, in another 5-2.
Big League Tour
We begin of course with the regular jump so they don't all feel left out. Wait a minute is that marty_mcfly over there? Said earlier in the week he'd give it a go, went through on it. And on the "i lost to marty wall" in order you'll see photographs of luckypool's licker blast, texas outlaw hdtd from TourneyPool, HotShotz player Krash 97, Southside pool Genius from the Straightshots, and yes he would win the darn thing like Jeff Gordon, by beating 8ballrunner copenhagen8us amd XPooler shootalready69. As for that guy shootalready he knocked off SuperbPool's jivemaster, then took on ElitePool's here_kyle_is...or was, CueKeeper wessam_abouzeid, WildAngel kemorst, and the X_Monkey of Black&Silver...Can a cub get a "weeeeeeeee" somewhere? ;) All of the regul8ors...get ready...4 points from their 8 players came from the regular tourney, along with the 2 for getting 8 players. They get outscored by me...by me of all people yikes. shootalready by the way helped that XPool team with 6 of their 16 points this week.
In the cam tourney, you know, timestamp, taskmanager, that deal, yep that's Luis, didn't even get to the final last week sheesh, big relief to some people.
Round 1, let's celebrate Luis wisdom and bring up that line "big names don't win games" meaning of course, it takes more than a name to win...So Pita from regs against 8br's runningwildhorse, Pita should win that one right? All the Luis critics disagree with the big names statement...oi...running wins. Well PH's scpoolplaya can probably handle Moe right? Well...No. OK well at least JJ can beat me right? I mean it's not like I'm a BA reserve (I'll stop that if ya want me to JJ lol), and he ran me off the table week 1 back in season 3...Well...No. Ooh ooh there's PF Danny against HotShotz player Dazza my money's on Danny...Blah I'll pay ya later. OK so there's your big names against not-so-big names or people who nobody really likes because the haters are lamers, that lost. Also in round 1 PF's CoreyMMM, playing on a different name because apparently CoreyMMM was deactivated around 7:00...tourney closed much later. Supposedly the deal was rerack to soapbox bo3, soapy wins 1, byebye I win. Big heated wahhwahh at HQ, soap advances with that win...Remember that.
Round 2, big names don't win games unless your name is Luis and you play for PF and are loved by all the MLP admins, that means Neo we don't mean you. he beat Absolute Finest player fire wolf87...ah the tourney was only big enough for 1 wolf anyways. Defending champ _BiG__OnE_ from the Outlaws was able to put away BlackSilver Eddie, who left and rejoined BS presumably from a little in-league disagreement, all better now they hope. DreamPooler jack.boss after hitting a pair of royal flushes in as many days on JetSetPoker, well he beat LPL's romper. Why do you care? Stay with me. By the way I won, that's 8 Regs 4(without 2 extra for having 8 players) - Cubby 4.
Round 3, Oh what's an MLP cam tourney without...more drama? Before all the dramatics, let's watch last week's runner-up LuckyDog from the PoolMasters. He's got Beerballer The Great Zero...With a name like that you can sorta guess how that match went. LuckyDog moves on. By the way LuckyDog and BiG OnE on opposite brackets, rematch? Soapbox loses his game to Luis, would've liked a rerack. Heh. Excuse me while I clean up the soda I just spit out laughing. Kharma sucks don't it? BiG OnE against Trouble4some, the ace from 8BR, trumped. Big OnE still alive. As is jack.boss, as he beats BeerBaller towelie. I promised dramatics and i didn't mean soapbox, badking vs. guess who, yeah me. badking_got_carjacked of BlackSilver, coast, to coast, runs all 8, nothing fancy, no miss, "put me on sportscenter" as he finished. Careful what ya wish for there bk. Remember how Vickie got that win over PF Brandon last week? Oh history catches up so quickly. badking only has the timestamp up before the game, then at the very end, claims Tracey set it up for him, wellll that's why the rules are posted. He would leave many moons later with a smart remark over one of Sophie's harmless jokes to someone. So uh...yeah...Great I win...I'm going to round 4 lalalalala to face...oh crap. Recap: Regs: 4 - Cubby: 6. Or many many other individuals for that matter.
Round 4, Why the oh crap? Let me recite a bible verse I have memorized here. It says: Thou shalt bear witness, in a cam challenge, to greatness beyond what you may ever be able to comprehend. In lamen's terms that's Lulu. Found out the hard way the guy still has his form, and the season series stands Luis 1, Cubby 0. Hey that looks like Newcastle vs. Chelsea. Moving along, BiG OnE against jack, and Chris got "Jack"ed. he did however win a pair of other interleague teamers, you're forgiven. LuckyDog still alive, he's in the final 4 after beating a PoolFighter, eskim0s. Wait a minute...lemme make sure I have week 2 and not week 1's bracket here...Oh did they meet last week? Luckydog won that too? 2 back to back wins, against the same opponent, hey PH you're not the only ones *ouch* Do it next week Lucky I'll crack the PF-PFN jokes. MJ Tha King from the Outlaws stays in, by beating PoolFiction's Joe. So there's your final 4.
Round 5, Luckydog vs. Luis, MJ vs. Jack. Well Luis won. Jack or MJ? OK you cheated, no peeking next time. Jack advances, bet he's happy he gets to play Luis.
Round 6, Oh it's all Luis, all night, I'll have what he's having. Victorious game 1 on Jack's break, so Luis breaks game 2.
You know overall this was a really great tourney and I'd like to thank Sophie and the rest of the admin team who were involved for taking the time to do what they do. PoolFighters finish with 25 points, 15 of them, wha? I say 15 of them property of Luis, Inc. As for the winners of this 2nd week, give it to PoolFiction they put up 29 points along with Marty's regular jump victory, which netted them a cool 10 points. Overall it's PF with 60, Outlaws with 50, BlackSilver with 49, Fiction with 47, and PM round out the top 5 with 47. HappyPool and ChampionsPool though are making a big-time run for the top...they got zippo through 2 weeks.
That brings us to a little BLT Did You Know? You know 2 leagues with 0 points through 2 weeks is ugly, but last season? 3 of them, SuperbPool amassed an amazing 1. One of those 3 leagues with 0 points...HappyPool who finished the whole season with only 2 points.
