Hola hola ;) time to get it on!!!

Okie dokie, first off, let me introduce myself, I'm Luis and I'm not sure how cubby got convinced that I could do a good job with this, but hey, that's his problem lolol.

Now, let's start with the weekly summary of what's going on around MLP.

In the upsets department, well what can I say, my dearly fighters got knocked down to a much better HS team who simply took advantage of the little things and now HS is 3-1 with 1 game in hand still... they are certainly looking great so far and let's hope Glenno can keep the groove on in that team, they deserve it. On what some of us might call the expected result, I think PH pulled a small upset when they simply outplayed in every aspect a REG's team that didn't look like the one that spanked PF a week earlier lolol. Credit to theike and his crew for pulling it with the active players and for REG maybe it simply wasn't their nite, I'm sure they'll bounce back just in time.

Let's talk about impressive performances now eh... I bet you're all falling asleep or should be close to it lol well I was looking at the scoreboard and the first thing that did catch my attention was the skank MZ gave SP on wednesday... I haven't seen this team nor I know the players in it but they are making quite a name so far. PFN took care of things in a match that I was expecting to be much closer but ended up in a blow out lolol (6-1 vs EP) and they keep their "little" rally of wins from season 4 and now to season 5, 9 wins in a row if I'm not terribly mistaken, easy to say but way hard to accomplish.

Other leagues got huge wins as well, BS finally picked up their first win and ohh boy I'm sure they're ready to pull another brilliant MLP season 4 type of come back and they got that W when they certainly most needed it. 8BR and TP simply were just too much gunning power for DP and PLP respectively and let's not even get into details about PO's ballistic massacre vs. WA lolol.

So anyway, 5 weeks have passed, yes that's one third of regular season (yes I know my math lol) and even though it might be early to come up with any solid conclusions, it's pretty clear to notice what leagues are very well on the road to playoffs. In the Atlantic, MZ and PO look like they will have a battle of their own for the supremacy in that conference and the rest will simply try to fight for the remaining 2 playoffs spots. I gotta admit that LPL has an interesting team but they really need to be more consistent with their games and we can see them as well trying to battle for top positions. About MZ there's not much to say because I really don't know them, but I've been told they are one of the early big candidates to go all the way (just a bit early to say that lol) and if they keep that team together we might see great things. PO has simply the best lineup in MLP (12-14 consistent players) but gotta remember each match takes 7 games and any giving nite any team could take them if things don't go their way and MZ already showed us the way.

In the Central well lol PFN is making sure they blow their opponents away week by week without making it interesting for the audience... shame on them for not wanting to have close games lol. The remaining leagues seem to have an open chance to sneak in playoffs just barely and it's a really close race so far with 3 leagues tied for that second place (QZ DP CKP) and XPOOL might join the convo if they win tonite (they're expected to win vs a much diminished SS team).

In the Mountain, please allow me to take my hat off because here's a league that has been silent and deadly as a rattlesnake (yes I fear snakes and RE lolol). AF has shown to be a very tight group of players and solid as well, great organization and most important, yes guys winning isn't everything, they have displayed from what I've heard some great sportmanship in their games. They're undefeated yes, but that's still one open conference with power houses trying to regain their confidence back and I don't see any clear candidates to make the playoffs in that conference just yet, and that's why AF's start will be very important in their quest for playoffs. Gotta mention as well great performances shown by HS and LKP, proving they can match up to the big guns of MLP and I really hope they go the distance this season or at least give one hell of a battle to the rest.

In the pacific... =/ PF has lost their mojo in last couple of weeks and they sure need a huge win next week vs. BBM. A small surprise so far in that conference, CHP, who have managed to get the lead and they seem to have a good team to fight for it. BBM and REG have had shaky performances so far, but their teams are very solid as well and they should have no problems making the playoffs... My great friends from TP are also still in contention for that playoff spot, along with one of the nicest leagues in MLP, that would be BNR. It remains to be seen what BE can do as they joined MLP 2 weeks ago.

OK, now this is the part where I'm supposed to whine/bi*ch about something and ehhh I think I will... PM vs BBM, I was told bencoggon was accused (or implied accusation or whatever, it's the same shite) of aa because he simply didn't have cam... I've always defended the idea of playing on cam at all times, but if a player doesn't have cam what are we gonna do? stall the game and expect them to dl camtasia and install it and set it, all that in less than 10 mins because by that time they would have asked for a timer already lol and then by some miraculous miracle of god (yes redundant) they get the perfect tape with all the requirements ?!?!?! I think the most obvious answer is ... it's not rocket science here, of course NO. How about we keep playing on and then if you want to show them how to use camtasia, sure that's ok, do it and do it in a gentle kind of way, something that a few players aren't familiar with or simply don't know the meaning of that word, or maybe they don't even know it exists at all. There are rules, and they're there for a reason, to prevent troublemakers to do what they always do, cause troubles? yes, that's right.

I won't get into the usual rambling about how things should be and how they should be handled because to be honest I have no clue lolol but for the most part, it's important to always keep it simple, that is, keep it fun for the rest. If you're not familiar with a person, try not to joke with them... they will probably find it abussive (as I would too) and that will get them irritated (as I would too) causing discomfort and annoyance not only to the players but to the audience watching the game as well.

In the goodies department, CHPvsBA and CKPvsUP, I was told those 2 games were some good sportmanship and friendly pool lessons, way to go to them and I'm sure there were more excellent and friendly games but lazy cubby didn't want me to mention them so I say we blame cubby for this one lolol. And Full_Blast I was told he waited almost 20 minutes for his opponent to be back before accepting the easy win by timer, yep that's good sportmanship.

Tomorrow BLT at Vicki's Secret, should be a good one and let's try to break some numbers tomorrow, how about 80+ in regular and 60+ in cam jump. I know we can make it happen, just spread the word and sorry for the long post.
Biggest congrats to whoever read this entirely lolol.

Peace
que la paz sea con vosotros.

XPool @ StraightShots

Well, it's the start of round 2 of the tourney so...StraightShots can be Bucknell, and XPool can be Wisconsin. Why? Well...StraightShots will likely lose. They've struggled a lot this season already, they've lost 2 of their biggest players, they have a new captain taking over, it's just ugly right now in SS. Now, I'm not saying that they can't possibly win, because things change...But they've taken the talent equal to Andrew Bogut off an already ugly-looking team. They'll be desperate for this win, but all I need to say is: southern_desire, shootalready, big_kyle, it's a lot to worry about. Hell, we don't even know if the 'Shots will have a full team. I'd look for a massacre here, reasonably I'd say 5-2, but I could even see it being 6-1 to XPool. Whoever wins this game, they're tied for a spot in the top 4 of their division...Heh, but we're only 1/3 done with this season.

New Captains

Staying on the Regul8ors-StraightShots changes, Roy has left the interleague duties to lvlaniac, I didn't ask Roy whether or not he would captain the Saturday nighter with XPool, but it seems that's unlikely. 'Shots are gonna have a very difficult time handling XPool with their situation as it is right now, so just as Chris and James felt they were being pressured, as he said in the comments to the last post, anyone who cares about playing StraightShots later in the season will be keeping their eyes on Mani, to see how the new captain handles it under the pressure of A: Fielding a team, and B: Beating a fairly good opponent in XPool.

As for the Regs, Pomking has returned, and Master_Asia will be the primary captain for Regul8ors. All this of course coming after Andy felt excluded from the recent match with PH, and...He was. However, he says he showed up during game 5, well, game 5 ended and the match was 4-1. Andy wanted to play, felt screwed that he didn't, I really don't think Chris made any mistake after game 5. The match was not an in-division match. Any tiebreakers have no bearing on whether or not Regs make the playoffs. Therefore, whether Regs got raped 7-0, or barely lost 4-3, it makes no difference. As far as I know the tiebreakers will only be intra-divisional, meaning just in that team's respective division. It may play a factor come seeding time, buth otherwise just let some players who otherwise might not have played, get some playing time. Get them involved, instead of who's "the best" as Andy may like to think he is. On the topic of Pita and Chris working together on Regs, Trace had this to say: "chris is back, pita is primary, which is the best thing in the world. they both work phenomenally well together, they both have good attitudes, they both wont freak the [fazukas] out when they lose, and they both wont sit there in a personal talk with cubby and feed u a bunch of [BULLKAKA] information for you to post about." Ouch, that slayed me. And to give her side of the story, Trace pasted a long argument with Andy she had, and one like really jumped out at me. Andy: "fair warning if i dont get an apology from cchris and we have 8 players lucky is replacing chris ill give a taste of his medecine to even things up cuz he pissed me off tonight" But now, Andy's in the AL, Regs in the NL, the Regs-PH match again won't play into any tiebreakers, Pita's first match as captain for the season will be a Wednesday night-ender, 9:00 against Bearskins in Skateaway.
