TSP reported fake league games to try and get eligible for game 7 of the PM-UNY match. I'd say that's good enough. noobsmacker basically wins because of the long streak he had going into the BLT this past week, and nobody else really stood out throughout the week. His run ended at 20 games, 3rd all-time in win streaks behind cue.ball (21) and GODZERO (24)
Pool Masters take 2 DQ wins in games 6 and 7 to steal one from the aforementioned UNY 4-3, who barely even showed up at all for the match. Pool Legends had their own number problems, having just 7 (eventually 8) players available as they survive a scare from DreamPool. The replacement leagues seem to be figuring it all out now though. Another big scare... Break and Run and Cheap Shotz went the distance on the week's finale, but again BNR not having a solid late-game player proved fatal even though honeydip almost did take one away from DQed. One league that didn't survive a scare, and turned 1st place over to CZ... PoolFiction. They lose 4-3, losing the first 4 games and that includes BPK picking up his first L of the season and Pool Loverz... No longer winless.
The Big Upset of Week 8: Lucky shots over DreamPool 4-3. 'Shots are due for a win, they don't really have any impressive players. LuckyShots have a few players who I believe actually are very capable of getting wins. mr_l3ig_t, craig_mitchell, and moonlite.kisses come to mind. Also remember this... NikkiCat is 2-0, sex.cowboy is 2-0. If Lucky Shots bring their top 5 to this match, they WILL win.
HoF watch: redhot_2oo3 improved to just 2-5 on this season. If he were to come out with a win in this week's match with Hot Shotz, he would move into a tie with fire_wolf87 for 16th all-time in wins. A win for CZ's Ketan would tie him for 20th all-time with Miz and emotional.death at 76.... But Miz could take sole possession of 20th himself with win #77. The most relevant record to possibly be broken this season... Up for interpretation. Luis sits at 8 tourney victories but he also had 3 as cerebro. Noobsmacker currently has 6 tourneys won. Depending on how you want to look at it, he's 3 or 6 wins away from breaking that record.
The... Not-So-Hot List: redhot_2oo3 would really like to pick up that win I talked about... He's #1 actively in losses with 128. Admin Dina is right behind him at 126. Next closest competitor... Another BNR, capwhanda, at 96. As for losing streaks in MLP... judge_mental_oz has lost the last 6 games he has played for Pool Loverz, he's 0-6 this season with 2 blown save chances. But taking the cake at present... CKP's Brandi. She has lost her last 7 games, and sits at 1-2 in 7v7 play this season.
The 7-0 players... Nobody. xlx_bpk, as I mentioned, lost the Save chance against Pool Loverz this past week and falls to 6-1. He joins Cal as the best every-week players this season.
