Week 12 Picks

Whee I'm back! Sorta. =/

8Ball Runners @ Breakers Alley - Well, BA needs a win just to keep any remote shot at the Playoffs alive. Won't happen. Their season ends because 8BR is just so much better than them and everyone knows it. Runners might try to get some guys eligible though now that they have the #1 seed. They win 5-2.

MagicPool @ UnitedPool - Big cluster in the American League with the 2-3-4-5 spots up for grabs among the 4 teams currently occupying them. They're all within a game of each other. If Uniteds win, they do clinch a spot. They also clinch if both Breakers Alley and Break And Run lose at any point. They haven't really impressed me, but neither has a MagicPool team that needed DQs to fluke a win over New Happy Pool. They're kinda like BritPool - Just can't convince you they're good in a straight 7-game match. I like UP to win 4-3.

Malditos @ True Pool Legends - Well with Malditos AGAIN cheating, and the league actually having trouble getting tourneys, MLD looks like an easy draw in the Playoffs. Plus it's on cam, so whatever else they have up their sleeves won't work when that time comes (YM, training tables, you know the drill.) And even here, I think TPL can put together some kind of run down the stretch. They're in a 3-way tie at 1 game back of Lucky Shots for the #5 seed, and their only real challenge should be PFN next week. They finish with BritPool. Their run for the Playoffs begins with a 4-3 win this week.

United Nations of Yahoo @ Cheap Shotz - UNY's a joke, Wooter's even upset with them, stick a fork in them they're gonna be like Malditos in the Playoffs - Nothing more than a glorified Bye. Cheap Shotz roll the eventual #5 seed UNY 5-2.

New Happy Pool @ Break and Run - If all goes as planned, this game will mean absolutely nothing with UP and CZ clinching Playoff spots. Just for the hell of it, NHP is obviously better than that pitiful Fookin Tuna record they've been working on. Easily a 5-7 win team during the course of a full season. They win this one 5-2.

Lucky Shots @ Pool Legends - No drizo, no headaches. Good riddance. Lucky Shots, on paper, are as good as if not better than Pool Legends in terms of their top 3 players. Then again on paper, LS is actually good. Pool Legends have done pretty much what was expected of them this season, Lucky Shots has underachieved drastically. TPL is breathing down their backs. LS SHOULD hang on, because they don't play anyone good (BP and PZ) to finish the season, but here I think they lose 4-3.

BritPool @ Pool Loverz - Two of the teams in that 3-way tie, we may well have a 3-way tie for FIFTH by the end of the week. BritPool can't ever get a full team, Pool Loverz is just bad. I bank on PZ having more players, thus winning 5-2.
