This Blog

While watching some great college football, a thought entered my mind. What exactly is this blog for? Obviously, the top says "The MLP Website That Provides Full Onsight Coverage Of Daily Happenings & Events" But it has never been just that. It has almost always been opinions. My opinion, your opinion, granted your "opinions" got deleted a lot when I figured you either A: Weren't in MLP so shouldn't be posting, B: Posted something that made 0 sense, or C: Something else the list is too long. You know, like when Gaz was acting all high and mighty about not being near an ocean when I posted about Katrina.

Anyways, I wiped the ban list as I usually do each month, because after all this blog IS all about opinions. Granted, some people obviously don't think so, and their names are all on the main page near the top. Yeah, it's likely the blog is being taken off the main page. Even though I keep getting YMs from people (stealth_killer, BA's Captain, LuckyDog, PL's Captain, Pete, MZ Player, etc. etc.) that they like it and of course most of them saw what the admins didn't, and that was the point I was making with the post that put their panties in a bunch.

Now, what's funny about this is this whole blog was made on the condition it wasn't related to MLP, and anything said in the blog or comments area itself, didn't have any effect on MLP. Yet the admins are saying it IS a part of MLP now because they weren't around at the time that stipulation came around, and they're just changing it without any notice. That's actually kinda funny because very few ofthem were even IN MLP, at the time it was created and half of the still-standing rules were made.

Anyways, say what you will, say this blog is my own personal bitching post, say it has lost its class, but there is one thing you HAVE to say no matter what you think of me or of sc: It has NEVER failed to do what it was really intended to do - Get the players of MLP to post their opinions. Heh, funny actually. back to watching some college football =)

Over-Under: Week 4 Poll

And for my next act... Over/Under! The topic game 7 deciders for week 4.

The magic number: 3. Over, Under, or Push? Go.

3 Up, 3 Down

For this week's 3 up, 3 down you'll get the biggest advantage that a bad record team has, and the biggest weakness that a good record team has. Begin.

STRENGTHS OF:
Online Pool Hall - Despite being the single-most overrated team this side of the New York Yankees, they still have a lot of talent as long as they can get their Captain to, you know, not get himself in trouble.

Quez - What a horrible start again for QZ. However, the biggest advantage these guys have is that they're capable of getting hot at any time, and when they do heat up and rally off 5-7 wins straight, this whole Conference is going to fall back down to them and put them right in Playoff contention.

8Ball Runners - These guys too have some great players but just lack the ability to win on a consistent basis. They play in a ridiculously tough conference, and it will be difficult for teams to catch up if they fall hopelessly below .500. They need a streak where they win 4 or 5 in a row to put them in, otherwise their inconsistency will be problem #1 like last season.

WEAKNESSES OF:
CueKeepers - The inability to get players before the match. This lack of preparation cost them a match against OPH that, if ready, CKP probably could've absolutely smoked OPH. Plus, CKP hasn't exactly played any good teams at all these first few weeks. They could fall off in a hurry.

Pool Legends - Yeah hard to believe a team this stacked could have a weakness ain't it? Guess what. That IS their weakness. If you have 15 all-stars on a 9-man roster in baseball, you gotta find a way to let them all play and some won't be able to. Same here with MLP. Maybe the prospect of winning a World Series (the A-Rod, Yankee effect) will outweigh people wanting to switch, but otherwise don't be too surprised if a few people leave by the week 8 deadline.

PoolFiction - Inexperienced Captain. Even with Mick returning, it is evident that Kerryanne will remain the Captain and she has a lot of pressure on her to make PoolFiction a 10-win team again. I think she can, because I'm not too sure she really notices the "pressure" of this and sees it as a game (yeah, there are still people like that :p) but it is certainly a weakness, and while no a huge weakness, I think it's the biggest PFN could have.
