BREAK AND RUN! TOURNEY POOL! TRUE POOL LEGENDS! ...high timez.

The American League tonight features the top 3 leagues in the Conference, and... Well, High Timez with the 2nd-worst record in all of Major League Pool.

Tourney Pool and Break And Run lead off the night. While the records indicate this should be a good match, BNR's run of playing soft opponents has come to and end and now you're gonna see their record come back down to Earth.

The match is at Tourney Pool's homeroom Crossed Cues, meaning TP's superior players will also be matched up however Captain kingvaughan sees fit. Tourney Pool will be led by Ross, just mentioned, and pool.instinct (MJ for the uninformed.) Both players are undefeated and have earned spots in the Top 10 Players list in MLP this season. If the match is somehow 3-3, they also have mvp_sicc saved for the 7th game as usual. Ant is 2-2 this season, and 2-1 with the match on the line. However, he has also last the last two weeks.

Break And Run's record is just 1 win worse than their opponent's, at 16/12. They lost their first match of the season last week playing their first worthwhile opponent of the season in True Pool Legends. The result was 5-2. Tonight, redhot_2oo3 will likely be matched up with one of TP's better players, possibly Lewissss, in the leadoff spot. David is 3-1 so far this season, with his only loss again coming against the only good competition he's had. So it's tough to gauge how good of a season he'll continue to have. BNR does have some players at 1-0, 2-0, etc... Those players need to show up against the good teams on the schedule, otherwise they're just unreliable and Break And Run will never have the chance to keep competing this season.

It comes down to consistency. Tourney Pool's best players show up every week, BNR's don't. I like TP to win this one, 5-2 or possibly 6-1 depending who does or doesn't show for BNR.

The night will conclude with a mudhole stomping. 3-1 True Pool Legends visits High Timez.

High Timez has the 2nd worst record in all of MLP, just a couple wins ahead of Pool Dragonz in the National League. While c.marcoo and BooMann 2-1 and 3-1 respectively, that's not enough to get four wins. Boo will likely have to play early, to try and stop TPL from gaining a 3-1 or even 3-0 lead, as will Marco. Everyone else has put forth a terrible record. When two players amount for half of your wins, the blame for losses goes on the shoulders of others. The players bogging down the team will need to get better, and if they're still playing tap games like they did painfully in week 1, it needs to change. Because they obviously aren't good at it.

For True Pool Legends, the only way they can lose is if they beat themselves. They're one of the most aggressive, and smartest teams in MLP. They've won their last 3 since dropping their first match of the season, and the saves & clinches have been spread around to various players. Only one player, their anchor instant.classic, has multiple save/clinch opportunities - he has converted two clinchers. That depth will help them against HT because even if their opponents fluke an early win or 2, almost everyone on the team, with the exception of a couple, are capable of picking up wins in any spot.

Look for a quick match, maybe ending before the BNR-TP match, as the True Pool Legends win 5-2, even if they have an off night.

The next two nights feature only one match each as the best teams in the National League (Xtreme 8Ball and Pool Legends) are in action, while Thursday yields another triple-header.
