Monday Results

Last Wednesday night, all 3 matches ended 4-3. Two of them went 7 before reaching a result. One of the leagues in a 7th game decider would be PoolFiction, against NCP.

This time, Fiction vs. SCPG. I wouldn't mention that mumbo jumbo for nothing now would I?
Game 1: Jammy vs. Racer. Jammy_hure picked up his first loss, twice, last week in that match against New CoolPool playing game 1. Hint hint. He would also lose this match and already in week 7 he's lost more games than he did the entire 2nd MLP Season, plus Playoffs. (No I'm not counting that retarded DQ.) 1-0 to the visitors.
Game 2: Soon to be on Chris' MLP TV, Smarty_McJones1980, ok ok it's marty mcfly but against SCPG's MissyWin? He was just red hot. Right off his first shot he had a table more open than Terrell Owens. And marty would make the very best of it. The ryn started with a little breakout shot, and 5 minutes later, we're tied at 1. And count those stripes on the table. 7 of 'em. Top 10 Nominee beyond doubt.
Game 3: God_Gangster vs. british_pool_wizard, not to be confused with the old britishpoolking (Jamie, _Poth, etc.) Early on it looked like the 2nd consecutive Poolfiction table run, but after 3 stripes, the wizard's magic ran out. But after the Gangster missed his shot, the british one gave us another shot for the highlight reel, rolling his green stripe (14 ball) off the 3 ball, into the top right corner, and here, he misplays his shot, severely. Here is the link to the SS showing the situation, now just follow along. You see here he would need to make the 15, and free up the 10. Now wizard is good enough to hit a bank on that blue stripe if he can get the chance. If he makes his 15, follows through with high orange power, he should be able to either clear out those solids, or give himself the oppurtunity to bank into the top right, how did he play it? He just tapped the top of the 15. Eventually God Gangster would win, 2-1 Gods lead again.
Game 4: Ange_jess vs. Hill. Another situation where a pfn player could have won the game with a few rather simple shots, and chose instead to safety. Now Hill would not lose this one, but he should have when he messed up his final safety attempt. Jess however missed her cuebank attempt, and unfortunately left Hill a clear path to victory. For those keeping score, it's deuces all.
Game 5: Blaze Up vs. Georgiapoolking. Blaze for SCPG, georgia for PoolFiction. Blaze wins this one after a slightly misplayed shot by georgia with 2 stripes remaining, unable to A: Leave an easy shot, and B: get the 9 a little further from the 8. The 9ball shot did however come close to falling, but it wasn't to be. We've got ourselves a little 3-2 Gods lead.
Game 6: Deuces for Gods, pfn_Nick for Fiction. Now Jenn (Deuces) was the PIT 2nd place finisher last night, so obviously there's gotta ba a little momentum going into this. This is a game both players should've won at least 50 times. And it's also part 1 of a little series I like to call...Game 6 Chokes. Now she claims on her 2nd to final shot the english didn't take, but if chris puts the clip up, you'll clearly see there's a little backspin on this shot. Either way she misses her cuebank by a few zip codes, and nick finishes off and for the 2nd time in a row, Poolfiction faces a 3-3 situation.
And so it is Game 7, between Shockwave_X and revenge_of_mr, the Poolfiction captain. This was one of those games where you have the Lakers (Shockwave, aggressive offensive player) and the Pistons (revenge_of_mr, passive defensive player) squaring off. And even Shockwave would get irritated by the numerous safety shots revenge played, even openly complaining about them somewhat. However in the end, revenge would miss a real heartbreaker and Shockwave_X would be right there to win, very much unlike the lakers however. :) Gods win it 4-3, practically taunting Poolfiction saying "congrats on your first loss"...Yeah, no love lost there it was Poolfiction who eliminated the Gods in the Playoffs last season, even with the ignorant DQ of jammy. This now leaves Poolfighters as the only undefeated league in the AL Atlantic, and CKP undefeated in the AL Central. Both of whom by the way only have single-digit indvidual losses, but Outlaws have them both beat, with only 7.

The other 7:00 match, Masters vs. Hustlers. A little bad blood in this one as recently PH player scott was hasseling the PM league, but Theike also had no real care about the Poolmasters either, so yeah, this one's a big ego battle.
Game 1: pars vs. the bunny mrs shera. pars has 8 balls on the table. Let's count along and see how many shots he takes. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8. Yeah, put him on the top10 highlight reel please Chris, thank you.
Game 2: pool pro don vs, Finkdogg. By the way PM are coming off a PI championship victory over HP just last night, *yawn...* shoot please....ZzZzZZz....Yeah some of the shots took awhile, finally don wins and we've got us a 2 zilch match.
Game 3: Theike (_Renegade) vs. Rocky_Ireland. Realize I was watching the jess-hill game, so I didn't see much of Theike's game, he sucks anyways =) Ren however did win, good grief 3-nil this is looking like a sweep.
Game 4: PH's resident NL Holdem Expert Cory showing off some of his pool skills against dynamite que. Trouble late he has to cuebank on his final stripe or else his opponent likely has this simple little 5 shot run, and by the way Cory no pressure just a little public humiliation at stake, some YM Status bet on these matches. Misses his 14 off the top rail, yikes, simple combo shot a moment later for que. But...he gets yahooed the lines say the cue will hit the ball, it hits rail first, que..dude..it's ok, Cory's gonna get yahooed on this rail cutshot anyways, just...just calm down OK? Okay....maybe not, he sinks it. Finishes with the 8. Theike's strategy of putting his 4 good players first pays off. I didn't catch one bit of the final 3 games, but I do know PM won the final 3, but it's irrelevant. PH wins 4-3, now they just want XPool to upset the Smoking Cues.

Speaking of which, 8:00 XP-SC, I ask them to prove me wrong, I finally pick the Cues to win, heh, smells like trouble already.
game 1: Bowlingfanatic vs. the damn Flyers fan, smokin dan. This is why I never pick SC to win, Ditch dan already! Please! No Flyers fans! *sigh* fine leave him be. I only paid attention to the part fanatic beat dan on the 8, because the PH match was just finishing. bowlingfanatic gave XP a 1-0 lead. Not bad.
Game 2: lilsweetpete vs. tempting, pete for XP, tempting for SC. Midway through the match tempting says hey let's play a little horse pete. 10ball off the top rail, into the 9, 9 into the 5, into the 12, 12 bottom right. BANG. Copy that! Yeah, I'll edit that one into a top10 nominee. Pete though, just says ah shaddup, You can have my H, and the ORSE to go with it. Pete wins the game and XP now up 2-0 are you serious?
Game 3: XP - Mac the knife, SC - Harpwarper. This was one of those straightforward games really, but lvlac would choke late in the game, missing that evil top middle pocket to the lip. Harp downs his final solid, and not necessarily a top10-worthy shot but I'll nominate it. A couple inches from the right rail, barely dropping into the top center, money. The harp makes it 2-1.
Game 4: A Chewtoy and a Hustlerette. Quick quiz. How many balls do you need to pocket in 8ball? Answer: 8. How many shots does that usually take on a table run? Answer: 8. How many shots shall the hustlerette take here to tie us up at 2? Answer: Exactly, 8. Oh, you thought she ran it? Nonono... but she may as well had. Chewtoy, choice of about 3 or 4 shots, he takes the dumbest possible of the lot. Hustlerette just finishes off her final 4 solids, plus the 8. She does however 7ball the chewtoy, and rightfully so. Next time, pick a better shot big boy.
Game 5: Ties 2-2, bushyshot vs. baybe_lisa. Safeties on and off throughout this game. Then, a top10 nominee cuebank. Finally, a cue bank finds it's mark. Starting near the middle-right side of the table, off the left side, nothing, but the bottom, of the pocket. Eventually, baybe would show that she really doesn't quite know how to play safeties all that well. Always with ball in hand, if you just wanna put the cueball behind another, shoot from behind it. At least in the current situation. 3-2 XP.
Game 6: Angelofmercy vs. Camaro. And this is another page in the game 6 choke series. Part 2 of 2 to come. Now, the shot you'll see when it's uploaded, this is just purely pathetic. Nobody, I don't care what league you're in how much pressure there is. Noone should EVER have an excuse for missing this. the 3ball is an inch from the pocket, maybe 1.5, cueball dead center of the table, by the way it's bottom right pocket. Nothing near either ball, angel misses this off the left rail, somehow, really sad. Camaro puts down his final stripe, then the 8, and we're going to game 7 3-3, when we should be 4-2.
Game 7 would be partslady-cloudwalker. Off cloud's break he does get bih, but he's in the pocket no line can't move it. wouldn't be the first time he's there. Later on in the game partslady gets lucky as heck, puts cloud in the same exact spot. but he has a 9ball in the bottom center, half-in as well. No problem there. A few moments later, it was as good as over, partslady stringing a barrage of perfect shots, power, control, everything perfect, finishes with the 8 along the rail, across the bottom middle without problem. XPool upsets the Cues. And they get rid of that ugly 0 in the W column.

Final "match" BS-RJ, Joint had 2 players, Moe (still plsying illegally) and revolutionizingthegame took care of rolls_zombie and sher_daisy. RJ have played um...2 full matches this season? And timed out 2 or 3 times with 0 players at all, including one at home? Their preparation frankly is horrible. Anyways, 7-0 win for BlackSilver, not much else one can say here. RJ remain the only league with single digit individual wins (9).
