Monday Night MLP
Keepers lost their captain Rob to vacation and look what happened, 6-0 turned to 6-3. He comes back last week, leads them to 3-0 against a very unprepared SCPG team, who only had 2 players at the outset yet rallied to sweep the final 4 games riding on the monster double bank on the 8 by Blaze Up in game 6 to tie it. Now they have a 4-week losing streak, but they'e got Happy Pool this time, who are tied with them at 6-4. If CKP does not win this match, they have no chance to win the Division, and they'll really have to work just to get a spot in the playoffs. Being that now they've lost to Elite, and SCPG. Two leagues who may very well rise up and beat them to the playoffs. The other two losses are PF and PFN, head-to-head won't even be a factor there. Happy Pool in contrast need this win to get ahead of the Keepers, and help reach that 8-4 that will probably be the minimum requirement for the playoff seeds in the American League. They have the staff to do it. The instant they left the regul8ors stoney and striker woke up and started actually playing pool. They've got a phenomenal game 7 player in Clint (stylish_huh) should they need a game 7 win, and of course, this week they have home advantage. Happy Pool will put Keepers on a -5 streak tomorrow night, by winning 5-2.
The lesser-relevant match, New Cool Pool against Lava Pool Lounge in Rack 'Em. This one unless we see one huge miracle for NCP in the next few weeks is just for placing really. I don't see them anywhere in the playoffs, and it's rather sad because you can point the finger back to a match a few weeks ago where they had a Thursday night match, then a Monday night match the next week, and their captain would rather run a 6 vs. 6 then bother with MLP. Had they picked up a win that week they had a small prayer to reach the post-season, but now, better luck next season. Now as far as who will win? New Cool Pool definately has good players, but over the course of the season LPL has also picked up a few, sporty being perhaps their best. I do think LPL will win this match, 4-3. The reason being Matthew_U2, as long as he keeps his focus, he can play with the best of em. Sporty, awesome shooter but I'm still the cooler Sean. Ogges, another great shooter unless he's had a few bad games earlier in the day. They're a very underrated team, and it's a shame to see them at 5-5. They can potentially reach, but again it'd take a miracle.
Pimps should win 7-0 against BE, I think.
Breakers Alley and Stoned Cold Pool Gods and the Gods have to be thinking this is a gift from heaven. They seemed like a league that just could not reach playoffs mid-season and now, they've beat Cue Keepers to move to 5-5, they have a 7-0 win against Happy Pool back in Week 3 which means they're ahead of HP in head to head, and this week they have Breakers Alley? BA has some pretty good players but if the Gods, in their home room (Rat Race) can get a team, they should definately advance to 6-5 in the season, and really, I mean really put some heat on the backs of Happy Pool. Gods should win 6-1, because as good as some players BA has are, I don't think they can really mount one of the big comebacks that we remember them for in season 2.
