Wildcard Round
American League
The big world series rematch between a much different straightshots team and the poolfiction squad, in Bad Times Monday night. First let's look at the eligible players and try to project the line-ups. Straightshots are probably going to use gigolo, good riddance, own u ss bunch-of-stuff-name, james 13 7, judge, StickCheese, and either sublime or Ecstasy. Now PFN on the other hand their line-up will look a little like this: british pool wizard, jammy, hill, marty, _theiceman_, a7x, and either matty or indiana elite. Now since I picked poolfiction to win last season, and the Straightshots team has made enough changes, I believe PoolFiction will win it, in 6 games.
The next battle is Tuesday night between the Hustlers and Masters, in Intermediate Lounge 2. So let's start with the away side. PoolMasters will probably have blue, Fink, p0wer, luckydog, MRSR, Rocky Ireland, and zackman or dynamite que. PH's team possibly corey, gaz, cory, Don, Scott, Theike, and Stormcrow. All biased feelings aside I do believe the Hustlers will pull this match out in 5 or 6. They certainly do have quality subs like Seth or coast star if one of those 7 don't show.
Wednesday night LPL and HP rematch from the season 2 wildcard in the same room, Dont Stop Me Now. Last season all LPL had was ogges, now they at least have a decent prayer. The Lounge will have to call bebo, beefed, GothrockBoy, King Vaughan, Matthew, ogges, and volts, if they want any chance at all of winning. While when you look at HappyPool's list, all you see is lights out for LPL. Their lineup will probably be astro, HBK, Lucky, Striker of death, Justin, Stoney, and either xtc or Tronica, I think it's fair to say HP will roll over their wildcard round in about 5 games.
Finally Vegas Shooters and BlackSilver, with VS's playoff hopes hanging by a thin thread, they were able to pull off a 4-3 win over the BlackSilver team, a win that meant everything in the world to them. But now they have to get a line-up that can beat Blacksilver a SECOND time. That might be bradvaboy, JACK, jimmyjames, Rose Faery, badboy, scotter, and the yankees fan. Maybe damien in place of Rose or brad, who knows. BullShitters (always wanted to say that) have crypt, Nascar, revolutionizingthegame obviously, super RAH, Thoreau, Shadow, and masta shot, with honorable mention to slavko. Moe I know you say you're great but 1-3 isn't a very impressive record. I do think the VS will won't be repeated, But it may be a close one. BlackSilver should win this in game 7, but they want to be the first to 3 points, otherwise they may need to call in "Dan Gagne" early.
That about does it for the Wildcard round, I'll be keeping some pointless post-season stats such as who wins, who's ump, table number, side, who breaks, silly stuff like that ;) and if I'm not too lazy I might post em. But for now, all I'll say is sit back and enjoy the playoffs and the Yoda Cup. :)
