Ahh the Yoda Cup
I'm surprised no camtasia tourneys :( lol anyways, it's time yet again for the Yoda Cup to begin and this season it's uh...different, starting with a rack n run tourney, then a killer tourney, then a timed 2 vs. 2 switch tourney. So let's look at rack n run a little more closely. There's a lot of potential for trouble in these tourneys. All 3 of these. Rack n Run - You need practically the entire staff there watching to make sure there's no cheating. Moving another ball, saying you got more than you did in, This is why those with camtasia should record their matches, helps out a LOT. Killer same thing you're gonna need a "ref" for just about every match unless you've got people with camtasia, who can record the game and show a little proof. And then any unrated game has this problem "we won" "no we won!""no you fag we won stfu stop trying to get a cheap win" This is a little better though, camtasia all the way. Now the 2 vs. 2 sit and stand is switch after each shot but what I really hate about how these rules are is it's 10 seconds, OK, that's fine for now, but then you can't continue until your partner is back, so you get a timer? What happens then you get an unlimited amount of time to plan out your shot? I really, really don't like this idea and we're still 14 days away from it. I mean, that just looks like a rule that has to be changed and fast. Now the other 2 tourneys shouldn't have much problem but people do get booted in tourneys, and when there are timers and these kind of uh...well I guess we'll CALL them rules in place, I just already smell trouble. There's still 14 days though hopefully something will change.
The rack n run is tonight @ 7:00 in Bent Cue, points will be 1 point for a win and 5 for winning the tourney, so best of luck to all the leagues but on a personal bias note, PH has 5 big lg. tour wins go PH ;)
