Defending Champs Stunned
Yeah, I'm finally over the shock so I can post this now. Runner-ups from last season Poolfiction must've been pretty pissed off as they dug out the brooms and swept the floor with StraightShots, who went down to the wire, literally, in the World Series last season with PFN. While all 4 games were at one point or another a battle of safeties, the British Pool Wizard won an almost half-hour game 1 against Prince Ecstasy, A7x took down mr. "how the hell did he just run that?" from last season's finale, Good_Riddance, game 3 matty the pool legend who by the way finally did get to play me a few nights ago...and loss after all that trashtalk :p took on StickCheese. Not much of a problem for mattylda and just about 10-15 minutes after the 1st game ended we're suddenly looking at 3-0 PFN. So who better to close it out than mr. 12-1, marty mcfly and how will this game 4 end? Well it ends with marty sinking the 8 after his other 7 balls but what gave him the game? A very heartbreaking scratch by StraightShot ill_own_u_ss_mlp_finals_style...aka DJ...well you_just_got_owned_pfn_mlp_al_wildcard_style. Fiction advances to take on the 8ball elite who managed to pull a 4-3 win over pfn and the stunning 6-1 over Poolfighters, but when you look at the 7 who played there weren't a lot of really good players, PF knew they had the #1 seed so they didn't really need to win, perhaps it was just a way to get an extra game for a few players. Plus the only PF win coming in game 7 wasn't picked up by...well...one of their better players, but the big disadvantage 8be is gonna be at is they're not coming off a sweep against the defending MLP champions. Next on the menu is the battle between the Masters and Hustlers in IL 2. Hustlers 6-2 at home, Masters 5-2 away, you couldn't DEMAND a better matchup on paper...well...maybe you could..BUT, this one won't be a sweep I can almost guarantee that.
