Old-School Luis Post
1. first, i understand the 7v7 format, but i think its important to give the home team some kind of advantage, otherwise it makes no difference to play in a certain room when schedule is made. i think visiting team should pick players first on every game of the match, that way the home team can match their players against the ones who they feel can do better... i dont know really, im just trying to suggest something because its always called my attention that it doesnt make any difference if you play home or away...
It seems that actually was the rule at the time anyways, perhaps just umps messing up the rules
2. i still dont understand why pf didnt qualify for mlp playoffs. i understand they werent top 4 in conference, but they were top 2 in their division. if conference standings was to prevail before division, then why arrange the teams in divisions?. anyways, vgl to remaining leagues in playoffs and may the luckiest team win lol.
This was Season 1 where PF went a woeful 3-4 18/31, 2nd in the conference but the entire Atlantic Conference did better, ouch.
3. all playoffs matches should be at least best of 3, like for example, team 1 vs team 2, 1 day they play at team 1's home then next day they play at team 2's home, and if tiebreaker is needed they return to team 1 home (suggestion). i dont think all the hard work achieved in a season should be put on the line in just 1 match.
Now here's something I agree with which is why Luis should take the Mensa Test, we all need to harass him until he does. Back on topic, that's a very valid point. That's the format for the World Series obviously but it would suck to lose to a team full of the luckiest players around and a ton of Yahoos after busting your ass to get to the Playoffs.
4. players representing their leagues should be more active on those leagues, like maybe number of games needed to be qualified should be increased to 100 (just a number, doesnt have to be 100) instead of 30. it happens a lot that just before playoffs some teams start gathering great players that barely play on those leagues.
Another valid point. This would kill the league hoppers who go to a league get 20 games never play there again. *looks around innocently* Granted it would in fact be hard for smaller leagues to do that (which elise, admin at the time, pointed out) I'd say 100 games is a very fair number, especially for players who just go to a league because they wanna say "I was on the MLP Champion team" I hope those types never play.
5. special tourneys should be made more often during season. i do think though that maybe only 1v1's should be made because too many 2v2's gives the biggest leagues more chances of winning as they can get more good players all together, giving the smaller leagues less chances, just a thought...
Well, they actually listened to ya for once Luis everyone give him a round of applause.
