7:00 match HP-Straightshots. game 1 not_your_kitten against dj spir0...not your night dj. HP jumps out to a 1-0 lead. But then...
Cheese, Blake, BadAssOutlaw spelled right, and JJ after gigalo wolf scratched, were all able to clinch wins. Game 6 then irrelevant gigolo_funk, the other gigolo, lost to copenhagen. No game 7 here however simply because...no other players for HappyPool.
So your final score here Straightshots 5 - 2 HappyPool. SS now 4-0 22/6. HP...not. They're 2-2, 11/17.
A pair of 8:00 matches let's begin with SuperbPool and Newcastle simply because...I want to. SuperbPool got Yahooed a lot and on top of that, apparently a few players were victims of booters. Or so goodbye_sober_dayz claims. So now you have to actually wonder, even though he had no business saying that without actual proof, stoney_mcbonghitter was in a match with Newcastle in PLC earlier this week, he was the victim of a room booter. NewCastle denied any involvement with it but...you just have to wonder. Are they doing it? Seems likely now. By the way Romper had a win in the 5-2 win tonight for NewCastle. He won over T_Rocket who has never really had much luck in 7v7's at all, in any interleague. Also I thought I'd throw in "After getting flooded 45665465 Timez." Part of Lady_Acid's report, said it before in this post I know, but you just gotta wonder.
Other 8PM match CueKeepers hosting EZ8...we're playing regular 8ball but don't tell them that. Hoofy wins for CKP on an early 8 over ash, then chrys_an_the_mum won on an early 8 for EZ8 over kavliaris. they would eventually be tied 2-2 looks like a good one...then Keepers just sweep the final 3. They win it 5-2 over EZ8. So they now tie EZ8 in the standings for 2nd in the AL Atlantic, but StraightShots the only 4-0 league over in that division.
How's this for an interesting story? UnitedPool 0-3, Regul8ors 3-0, we know who has the better shooters, but this season noone can hit the 8 in on 1 shot it seems. The unwritten mystery rule. ame 1 stoney about to win against ketan, no booters here just a blooper. 8 rattles in the bottom center and it pops out. Regul8or choke-o-meter up to what? 4 or 5 now? Not looking pretty for them especially if they get in a very close match with a top league. Then game 2, Goofy against a short-tempered garett and he isn't gonna like this one bit. He loses it's now 2-0 UnitedPool. On to game 3 they need a win in the worst way, Jerfighter's about to get one.......he scratches. But then moosepooler messes up badly, tries a shot, can't drop it, jerfighter wins finally something going right for the Regs. Dreamcatchr next against leics_guy and late in the game, 14 ball comes up short on the rail. But he'll get a shot at redemption and he doesn't disappoint. By the way MJ, sure win right? Wrong. He fell to a little mag1c. But have no fear, dan is here! He'll show us what we were so used to seeing from him in season 3, the guy is absolutely perfect with his power, english, table vision, and of course no choking, we're tied somehow 3-3.
So it all comes down to game 7...sir_bankshot against ChristopherSoccer...and to close out the game he knocks down 2 for 1, cueball kicked the 2nd in, but Chrissy plays this one very Dan-like. Great control, great shot, perfect position on the 8, and egul8ors narrowly escape with a 4-3 win over UnitedPool, who now go to 0-4, still single digits in individual wins, they have 8. Only 0-4 team minus NCP with a single digit in the W/L area.
So that's your somewhat decent summary of Wednesday night, only 1 division has more than 1 undefeated team, it's the NL Mountain. That's in danger however as the Poolmasters are 3-0 against the officially 2-1, in reality 3-0 BeerBallers, looking to tie for 2nd in the Pacific, Masters trying to keep up with the Outlaws looking to stay even with them until week 8 when the two meet for tea and pool.
