Wednesday's Matches
First match SuperbPool and LPL, T_Rocket leading off against rizken, and the Rocket's bad luck string? Almost continues, shot before the 8, and he nearly safetied himself, but...the Pool Gods were nice and gave him a break, SP up 1-0. Fast forward it's now 3-1 after Cobain safeties himself behind the 8ball...and banks it in. History says they blow it, will they? Ogges won game 5, the Professor of Whoop Ass took game 6, here we go again 3-3...Matthew_U2 looking to leave LPL with a match-clinching win, but TRU never got that memo. HE wins game 7 instead and finally SuperbPool, although barely, hang on to win it 4-3.
Here's your instant classic leading off is american pool stud against the british pool wizard...by the way SS won the PLC match between these 2 just a night before this one, but just like the Revolutionary War...American prevails over the british after getting ball in hand, 1-0 SS. Game 2 would end after a decisive shot with ball in hand, this time it would be Mark, going for the combo...both of these players showed some great talent in this game, whether you like safeties or not, but someone has to mess up eventually and unfortunately Mark was it. More proof that Sum 41 is bad for your YPool health. 2-0 SS. Continuing on neme against dj_spir0...the dj has it won, in his grasp, it's all...far from over. Can't get any position on the 8, PFN catches a break and they make it 2-1. Hill now game 4 against the BadAssOutlaw...and I must say the guy can shoot. Huh? Safety? Tap? When I can just knock down this shot and then hit the 8 in? Ha, game. One of the Outlaw's multiple banks in the game, hey it's worth the top play. 3-1 'Shots, Hill's not happy, would say quote: "lol cant wait til camtasia is mandatory in playoffs..3 banks n 3 cues out of snooks in 1 game come on" Since he's too scared to come out and say it himself, why don't I just paraphrase it: "GOD DAMN AIMERS ARGH!" Accurate enough? But remember the SuperbPoolers...that'll be the motto for the night. Marty Mcfly in game 5, he doesn't disappoint, he wins big games that's his job in PFN. He wins this one too, 3-2 now. Game 6, to break even, can Jammy Sosa do it? Yes he can because he's the jammy one. Tied 3-3...And game 7, a good 17-18 minutes plus, safety battle, PFN's specialty it's the Zaimer against newcomer to SS DreamCatchr (from regs) in place of JJ, who couldn't show up. Bet they wish they had him now, zame's last few shots might've gotten top play honors if Craig hadn't been banking, but a respectable performance, SS blow the 3-1 lead, SuperbPool's curse, and without JJ to fight with, PFN wins it 4-3.
There's 2 3-3 situations will we have a 3rd? Well, no Tommy for ElitePool, and they came to play. EP's surefire win Brandon had a win, skratch fresh out of the box had one, flip would be their only loss it was a really ugly night for UnitedPool...Elites just dominated them 6-1...and UnitedPool still can't get into the double-digits in games won, just not their season.
Now, about that B Team...Yeah, I think it's a good idea at a glance but there are gonna be problems at first. One of them, how do you determine eligibility? Increase the number of required games? Make a standard for games per week to define activity? It's bound to be a mess at first, but if they can figure out a way to give loyal league members a fair shot at playing, it would be a great idea, but it would probably be easier if it were a side-league, different URL because really, it could get pretty confusing.
Final thing, why do I say PFN will remain undefeated? The only real teams left to contend with are PoolFighters and MadSkillz, I believe PFN can easily take these 2 on, PF would be the tougher challenge, but they've been up to it before. Regardless of PF having tyler, corey, luis, PFN still has really good players of their own, make the graphics now. PFN 13-0.
