Week 8 Picks
Let's start with the Hustlers and XPool at 8 Monday night, XP could be that "hated" league this 2nd half of the season. Why? They woke up, too late to make the playoffs, but...they may be able to determine who else they take down with them. Kayla and Judy last week able to upset Smoking Cues from down 3-2, nice clutch performances on their parts. But...unless they get lucky, PH has their number. Hustlers will win 5-2 or hey, maybe even 6-1. Hustlers by the way looking to lead the Pacific division, they're tied currently 6-1 with the BeerBallers.
Same time LuckyPool and UnitedPool, simply for glory here both teams already have forks stuck in them. Look ahead to Season 5 if you're thinking of the Playoffs. In the meantime, back to this match, LuckyPool was supposed to be the great turn-around team after Jenn took over...looked impressive but that lasted about as long as the Jones-Tarver match. I do believe though that LuckyPool does have the skill, yes Tim, skill, no programs necessary, to win this match. Can't believe you got away with saying that by the way. LuckyPool should win 5-2.
Poolfighters and HappyPool close out the night, Luis Cole Danny Tyler against...kitten...dublin wolf...jacja...need I say more? PF easily 6-1 they wanna tie PoolFiction at least for 1 night in the AL Central....
...That is until Poolfiction leads off Tuesday against LPL. So Josh is now with LPL...hey they might win 1 game now each match. Okay, okay, I'll be nice. LPL does have a better team now Josh certainly doesn't suck, the only problem is his mouth (or hands) runs faster than the roadrunner. All that aside, remember PoolFiction has never lost an interleague match with Jammy as the Captain, or at least an MLP match. That's scary enough, add to that we're in an NFL-like season. American Conference team undefeated, National Conference team undefeated, who's gonna lose first, if either? Won't be Poolfiction this week that's for sure, they have an actual team. Their team is more like a family, kinda like the Red Sox, hi Kenny and JJ. Poolfiction wins 4-3.
Masters and Outlaws hey Moe I agree with match of the week, not so much with 6-1. The way the Outlaws played early on this season, it only takes a few breaks to beat them. So many teams have come close, I'm not known for being right when I go for the upset, but let's say it especially after they knocked off the Regs recently, PoolMASTERS beat the Outlaws 4-3.
StraightShots and BritPool, let's recap. JJ, Gigolo, Blake, they got Cameron recently, spir0, and BritPool has...not enough players to take 4 wins from SS. StraightShots stay tied with the CueKeepers for that beautiful-looking AL Atlantic trophy, 5-2.
PoolPimps and MadSkillz, MZ also in that Atlantic mess Pimps looking to snag a place in the Wildcard race or even get their face in that group division race picture, they know what's on the line. They know it could be do or die right here for the Pimps, MadSkillz are looking at the very least to be a Wildcard team, possibly #4 or 5, they'll rebound from that loss to CKP, and win 4-3.
Breakers Alley and SuperbPool just for kicks, I really think SP has the better team. what crawled up paris' rectum and died a couple weeks ago I have no clue, but that steamrolling they had over HP this past week is exactly what SuperbPool needed. Breakers Alley showed some real poise this season especially when they left LPL's mouths wide open with that 5-2 win. Since week 2 however, 0-5. Why does it seem BNR and BA seem to do the same thing every season? SuperbPool wins 5-2.
ElitePool and BeerBallers, match of the week candidate, but EP is a carousel team. One moment they're up, then down, and it's been repeating. They need to wake up for BBM, if they can't, BBM stays tied with PoolHustlers for the Pacific, Hustlers want ElitePool to win. I want BBM to win, because I'm picking them, and Tim, and Daru, and Brian, etc., to win 4-3.
NewCastle EZ8, that Atlantic race is big isn't it? EZ8 the last tied team to play this week, they start off Thursday night, and I think that match with breakers Alley 2 weeks ago was a big eye-opener for EZ8. It made them realize "hey, just because we're a much better-skilled team than someone, doesn't mean we don't need to try." So, that said, they have a much much MUCH better team than NewCastle has, they're gonna win 5-2.
HotShotz, Break n Run, 2 leagues really high up there for the sportsmanship award at least, since they're not gonna come anywhere close to the playoffs. Tied 2-5, HotShotz did almost beat the Regul8ors, and as much as I hate to go against my buddies over in BNR, I gotta say HotShotz have a better chance of winning this 4-3.
Speaking of those regul8ors, they close out the week with Smoking Cues, both teams suffered hard losses last week, 1 close and 1...not. Outlaws smoked the Regul8ors 6-1, Cues upset by XPool 4-3 by Kayla and Judy (partslady) in the last 2 games. Regul8ors do not wanna fall any further back in the Wildcard race, you know, after PM gains that upset over the Outlaws. They won't, MJ and Dan will lead that Regs team to a 5-2 win. You might think 4-3 with how the Regs have played this season, but 5-2.
