Tuesday Night Picks
You can't ignore the stunning job MadSkillz has done, remember they were 8BallElite's replacement. But it does seem the team is starting to burn out slightly. They won't have champ chris, not that he was a factor for MZ this season, and things overall are getting a little shakey, at least looking from the outside, in that team. PF on the other hand, they're not guaranteed wins against anyone (just ask HappyPool) but, when this team is on, watch out. They can be downright deadly. The key matchups here will be king_hustler/pete against Luis/Tyler
Breaker's Alley @ PoolFiction - 6-1 PoolFiction
I just really hate calling sweeps. PoolFiction is, like PF, a deadly team. The depth of both teams is also quite scary. Jammy's gonna add another tally to that undefeated captain wall he has in his room. The key matchup: nightauditman vs. anyone. He simply has to play. The way he almost beat JJ in the all-star match? I'll be stunned if he's there but doesn't.
PoolHustlers @ Pool Outlaws - 4-3 Pool Outlaws
Sadly, PH just doesn't seem to have it in them anymore. The Outlaws, remember their last match was a loss to EP, and we all remember how their captain, Kevin, took it. They lost outperform Chris, to PFN, but PH has also lost players (Silent_Fox and Don, or so I've heard, repeatedly) they still have players who will play, and some who will get wins, but I have to simply guess the Outlaws will win. Do NOT be surprised if PH wins this match. Key matchup: _Poth against Full_Blast. With PH losing a few of their great ones, if Blast is around he's gonna play. Paul and Jamie were brilliant in the NL all-star game, while Theike was just simply amazing in the NL-AL match, playing the role of Mr. Clutch...But wouldn't ya know it he lost the decider, a game where he has struggled quite a bit this season. It may be completely against his nature but if he has Full_Blast ready to play tonight, he may want to consider playing early and letting Blast take the 7-spot. PH are starting to get in must-win mode, and this time of season sometimes you have to change the game plan. I do however think it's interesting to note...PM is 6-4 45/25, Outlaws are 9-1, same record.
Regul8ors @ BeerBall Masters - 4-3 BeerBall Masters
The problem Regs have had this season, is finishing games. They've choked time and time again. There's ZERO room for that here, but it'll happen at least once. BeerBallers are gonna defend their house, they don't wanna lose this division. On top of that, they REALLY don't wanna lose to the Regul8ors. Key matchup: Clogz vs. Dan. Clogz has been lights-out cya later this season. Dan? Much of the same. You're most likely to see Dan in game 7, or if BBM can jump out to a 3-1 lead. That raises the question: Do you start right out with your aces and take Dan out early, or do you try and get a few early wins with the lesser players and then save Daru and Clogz for games 6 and 7? It's going to come down not only to who chokes and who doesn't, but primarily this match will be decided by Pascal and Robbie. Who's gonna handle their line-up better? We'll just have to wait.
