Week 9

A 3-way tie in the Atlantic, 3-way tie in the NL and AL WildCard, 3 leagues tied at just 1 game behind PoolHustlers in the NL Pacific, and 3 times 3 is 9, and hey, 3 dropout leagues now in MLP, that's way too many 3's for my liking.

Monday sees PoolMasters have gained a half-game on the Pool Outlaws...hurray and you're welcome. You're still a game back from the wildcard lead because the Regul8ors get a forfeit win, which means they lead the wildcard by a half-game, but the way the top 6 in the NL looks...it may just finish that way. As for the American League...HappyPool and PoolPimps are just a game behind MadSkillz, who are 4th in the WildCard...either way, fun stuff. By the way all those forfeits? Monday. That leaves the battle for supremacy in the Pac-...well it was 7, now it's the Pac-6. Anyways, PoolHustlers and the BeerBallers. Now in PLC Playoffs, which maybe you can argue is relevant, maybe not, Hustlers won 4-0 against BBM. That's there, this is MLP. Little different here, different players mostly. Hustlers have just been red hot. Hustlers 4-0 at home, BBM 4-0 away...And wouldn't ya know it? PH is home, BBM away. This is gonna be a 4-3 affair obviously, and with the winner getting head-to-head priority in the event of a tie, both captains are going to have a war on their hands. Remember last season it was a 4-3 Smoking Cues win over the Hustlers that cost PH the division, they would later lose to the Outlaws in the playoffs. It's really tough to call, and the possibility of MJ going back to BBM may be what decides it. For now, I say 4-3 PH, don't be the least bit surprised if I'm wrong though.

PoolFiction and CueKeepers start off Tuesday. PoolFiction is, as you'll remember, undefeated, along with the Outlaws. CueKeepers lead the AL Atlantic, as part of a 3-way tie, with MadSkillz right behind. StraightShots are gonna win, EZ8 could lose, MadSkillz will win, CueKeepers...will lose. PFN had 2 players just miss out on the camtasia finals, jammy and bsilent, and 1 who won the regular jump, jeremy doyle. Take those threats, add them to the line-up PoolFiction already has (dazed, zame, cub, jammy, marty, hill, guerrero, the list goes on) and THEN figure in Jammy has never lost an interleague match as captain for PFN? You got yourself a 5-2 PoolFiction win.

XPool and UnitedPool, you can't ignore what XPool has done these past few weeks. A big-time upset over Smoking Cues after taking out LuckyPool, then losing a match they expected to lose against PH, now they come in against UnitedPool who also cleaned up on LuckyPool last week. This could be another one of those 4-3 matches. Kayla and Judy will likely take those last 2 spots if it stays close, that's what you DON'T want if you're UnitedPool, being that they were excellent in the clutch against Smoking Cues. That's what'll happen though, XPool wins this 4-3 match.

BS-HS. I've waited so long for this match just to say that. HotShotz are going nowhere in the playoff races, 2-6, they've lost their last 4. BlackSilver is a game and a half behind PoolMasters in the race for #4 in the WildCard. They're certainly not out of the race yet, and who knows? BlackSilver, BirdStone, one came from out of nowhere to win, the other could come out of nowhere to make the Playoffs. Crypt6uardian will be part of the MLP All-Star match, he's gotta be feeling good about that. I'm feeling good about the 5-2 BlackSilver win.

StraightShots and NewCastle. NewCastle is just a MadSkillz win or a loss here away from being completely jacked from the playoff races. Bye cya next season. StraightShots just have too good a team for NC. Unless there are early 8s and yahoo's galore, SS easily wins 6-1. If JJ's the one loss we can all point and laugh :)

MadSkillz and Breakers Alley, if Breakers lose here I do believe they're also going bye-bye for good in the playoff races, as if they weren't already. And just like with NewCastle, it'd be against a really good team. 4 out...4 matches left after...head to head factor...yeah, I'm right. I'm not just assuming all this by the way. MadSkillz are pissed wayyyyyy off about that loss to the Pimps last week, because they didn't quite understand the Pimps only had 6 players. That influenced that fatal decision to let Pete try and hold the Pimps to 3-3, then get a timer win game 7. Instead it was 4-2, timer win game 7, 4-3 Pimps still win. Quite simply what I'm trying to say is MadSkillz saaaa-weep the Breakers.

While on the subject of sweeps, LPL got a sweep win against HP in the playoffs season 3 thanks to mephy. Who can forget that? Season 2 it was a sweep win for HP and LPL only had...1 player. Curse of Ogges. Both teams would then lose to PoolFighters when perhaps you can say they should've won, Poolfiction beat PF both seasons, and lost the world series both seasons. Now that History class is dismissed, LPL has just been...repulsive. 2-6 and they haven't won an away game. whew thank god the match is in Rack 'Em. HappyPool only 1-3 in away matches. They want to get into the WildCard spot, LPL wants to...well they just want to win a damn game. Well, I think they'll actually do it here. This match the past couple seasons has been fairly amusing, but LPL will get a legitimate win I believe, with Sporty and that cursed Ogges on their side, not to forget Josh though some may want to, 4-3.

OOH FUN!!!!!!! Whoops, sorry. I just get excited when I see a league about to clinch their division. Fun stuff. Outlaws and ElitePool, EP are red hot as well, winning their last 4 matches. But I got news for ya guys, Outlaws have won their last TWENTY-FOUR regular season matches. Granted of course that streak is rather lucky to still be in the double digits this season, they are a heavy force, and quite frankly I don't see them stopping anytime before the all-star game. Outlaws not 4-3, but 5-2, over the Elites.

BritPool and PoolFighters...every week there's gonna be one prediction I make that everyone will look at and laugh. Laugh at this: EZ8 beat PoolFighters, HappyPool beat PoolFighters, BritPool faces PoolFighters this week, haha, you guessed it. MAJOR upset possibility here. They're a really good team, one of perhaps the 3 best that won't make the Playoffs, but hey, they lost to CKP and EZ8 3-4, and don't let the 2-5 to PFN fool you, they put up a hell of a fight. I said there's an upset chance here, I think BritPool pulls it off and takes down Goliath 4-3. Luis, Tyler, Cole, better prove me wrong.

PoolPimps and EZ8. Pimps beat MadSkillz whether anybody likes it or not. Pimps are in fact a good team whether anybody likes it or not. EZ8Pool have been....OK for a team leading their division. But face it you guys lost to Breakers Alley, and a re-rack saved you. You're not #1 in the Atlantic. PoolPimps are gonna win this, and they could even do it 5-2. No EZ8's not that bad, it's just I simply think PLP have 5 players who are going to produce wins for them. They beat MadSkillz with 6 players and they weren't even prepared for the match. They'll be ready here, haha, just watch what they can do then.

Break and Run and LuckyPool, not a huge marquee matchup to close the week but hey, it's gonna be fun to watch. Break and Run are kinda like...the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. They're not very good now, but they have kept improving each season, and that, my friend, means something I even said going into this season. Watch out, they could suddenly break out at any moment. LuckyPool have been that continuing disappointment. Each season they've been in MLP it's always been "here they go, they'll definately make the playoffs, look at that team!" Then it's...LuckyPool? Who are they? Break and Run is gonna come in and double LuckyPool's losing streak. It'll be a rather close match, and it'll end a 4-3 BNR win, but LKP will win game 7.
