Week 14 Picks
There is only ONE reason I'm picking NewCastle to win this match. It's the only conceivable way LPL pulls off this miraculous run for the post-season. They're pre-destined to make it somehow, some way, each season. CKP SHOULD win this match, but I have this really bad feeling NewCastle's gonna finally stop making romper do all the work, and pull off the upset.
PoolFiction @ PoolFighters - 4-3 PoolFiction
PoolFiction doesn't have a lot going for them in this match. Marty being away as far as I know now, so he likely won't be there. PFN does however have the option of bringing a reserves team just to get a deeper team for the post-season, as they're already clinched the #1 seed. PF did this last season, I say that to give an excuse for the 6-1 thrashing 8BE gave 'em. This match will come down to lucky breaks, it takes just that to win in just about any game, whether one wants to believe it or not. This match will certainly be a fun one to watch.
Pool Outlaws @ Beer Ball Masters - 4-3 BBM
But THIS is your match of the week kids. National Conference on the line here, Outlaws are hanging onto it by 1 game over BBM, however the head-to-head will settle this one. Outlaws and BeerBallers both have very powerful teams. On one side you have Clogz, Daru, Pascal, and that's just the names I have off the top of my head. On the other you have the likes of Jamie, miz, Paul, I hope I get my internet back before this one =/
BritPool @ HappyPool - 5-2 HappyPool
HP has had an above-average team, while BritPool has been...well...not. HP will come into this looking to get a win for pride, and perhaps during all this, with the matches meaning absolutely nothing, we'll see a few reserves from each league, like rookies, so that they can get an idea of what a match is like. Either way, I think HP has the better team here.
StraightShots @ Breaker's Alley - 6-1 StraightShots
Easy match to call. I won't even bother explaining.
SuperbPool @ MadSkillz - 5-2 MadSkillz
A few weeks ago I would've called SuperbPool to win this match...Heh, SP has been damaged, badly this past week and a half. MadSkillz are just going to roll over SuperbPool, no doubt. Watch Pete and Hustler here, they're gonna have a field day, along with perhaps a couple MadSkillz reserves if they want to exercise that option. That of course going on the assumption SS or CKP win, so there's no possibility of a 4way tie involving LPL.
LuckyPool @ Regul8ors - 4-3 Regul8ors
Regs were very, very shakey during the PH match, from what I've picked up. They've got to put this whole MJ incident behind them because there's a high chance they could get robbed of a playoff spot, by losing and PM winning, due to PM beating the Regs earlier this season. If Pita, Robbie, Dan, Rah, and Chris show up ready to play, or even 3 of them, they should be able to come out with a win.
XPool @ ElitePool - 5-2 ElitePool
Bold pick taking EP 5-2, because I'm always wrong when I say 5-2 in ANY NL match it seems. But, ElitePool had a week to cool off, get their team back together after getting slapped by BlackSilver, and despite XPool being able to put up a real good fight against anyone in the National League, I think EP will survive, and if they win and BBM loses to the Outlaws, EP gets #2 seed in the Playoffs, where if BBM wins, ElitePool has the #3 seed secured.
Break and Run @ BlackSilver - 5-2 BlackSilver
BNR took a thrashing from the Outlaws, and look at BlackSilver! I think that 6-match win streak means something don't you? They have turned it up on all cylinders this 2nd half of the year. Crypt, Tooth, Lisa, they're all gonna hurt Break and Run, bad. BNR however does have the players to squeeze out a win, patriciamalkin can sure shoot, as can badalnighter, their most productive player this season.
Lava Pool Lounge @ Pool Pimps - 4-3 LPL
Why? Well, LPL has a better team to begin with. Secondly, they're gonna do whatever they can to make sure they win this match. However, a CKP win against NewCastle makes this match irrelevant. However, LPL will try no matter what the situation to come out with a win. Ogges is going to be right at the center of this. However, if CKP wins I want him playing game 7 here so he can have LPL's last match of the season, again =D
PoolMasters @ HotShotz - 4-3 PoolMasters
Now, if the Regs lose to LuckyPool, and it's highly possible, PM has a playoff spot to fight for. They should be able to handle the HotShotz here. Watch crazy_que and luckydog in this match, it is likely HotShotz actually put up a fight here though with this merger with 8Ball Elite. If they bring a few 8BE players, throw Glenno in there, they have a VERY legitimate chance to win this match. The SuperbPool incident also stretched to HS' goodbye_sober_dayz, and he will not play here unless he pulls a Sean, or MJ, the list of this stuff goes on.
In any event, this is going to be a quite eventful week surely. I hope to have that internet back at home by Monday -_-
