Big League Tour finished
The road to the finals for the never-ending song went as follows, in order: lpl's king_vaughan in round 1, no, no Bye. MadSkillz captain born_blue, Straightshot southside pool genius, 8ballrunner dangle, UnitedPool's GodsAccess, then Break and Run's badalnighter, possibly their best shooter the past couple seasons, before falling to jerfighter.
As for jerfighter, he too went without a Bye. Round 1 he took out DreamPool's bokey hata. From there he knocked off BritPool's rock n rolling tiger, then Breakers Alley's soccer punk, former Outlaw captain Kevin, now with Quez, BritPool's bp1981, then finally LPL's Jas14, then of course WildAngel SongNeverEnds in the finals. Wild Angels by the way finished with 12 points.
Thennnnn we look at the cam jump which is all I checked on so you're gonna get a lot more than what ya got for the regular tourney.
Got a few matches recorded myself for ya, beginning of course with Ivey vs. Romper. Romper seeming to enjoy his new home in LPL, while Ivey's getting his first playing time since being removed from the ban list, remember since he was banned for using an aimer he can't play in the reg. jump and all his games have to be cammed...Short leash. So Ivey's first game back how's it gonna go? Middle of the game romper has one hang in the pocket so Steven's gonna try to run it out. Looking to go 1-0 overall in MLP events this season...Needs a bank on the 3, top to bottom left... Yeeeee....Nope. Romper eats his Wheaties, finishes his solids, game over. Our banned friend 8ballhustler had a few choice words about ivey to say before leaving, for the record I've given up on him. He'd eventually leave altogether after griping at HQ. By the way Romper would lose the next to round to teammate and captain, ogges. LPL finished with 6 players overall and a total of 15 points, Jas14 was their leading point-gainer with 5, beating even ogges' 2 wins, which doubled to a grand total of 4.
Move on to Coria snake eyes vs. Crypt6uardian, fresh off a PIT Finals loss just before MLP, Coria off a win over Krunal in round 1. Coria tried running early, missed, Eddie just...did what Eddie does, until he gets to 1 ball left on the table then he does what would make a cam player accuse a non-cammer of using aimer, a simple top-to-bottom middle bank, easy position on 8, ballgame. More from Ed coming by the way, along with Coria's team the Outlaws.
Outlaw and former PoolFiction player _BiG__OnE_ he does have a name and it's Chris. He's against Regul8or Master_Asia, better known to the public as Pita. Join the game when I did and you saw Pita with hardly any shot and 3 stripes, Chris with 5 solids. You also saw Pita miss that, and Chris go 1 ball, aaaand 2 balls, aaaand 3 balls, aaaand no leave so safety. Pita's got a pair of stripes stuck together on the rail if he justs hits around Chris' solids and nails the top somehow he has it...Instead he goes bottom, 8 gets in the way of the stripe headed top right, Chris finishes him off, and more still on him and the Outlaws, along with the regs later.
Let's go deep into the tourney drunkenlu is it Luis? Some people say it is...but if you went to his rd. 4 against BlackSilver's ms_c0ngeniality...you saw Lu hit 1, get down to 4 stripes, then...you saw a miss. Lara easy shot on the 8, good game bye bye. PF ended with 35 points from their full team of 8 players, eskim0s their leader with 4 wins doubled for 8 points. But all these points are just by my uneducated count. So there's one BlackSilver in round 5, who else?
Would it be crypt6uardian? He's against JJ in the next featured match which...uh...haha, wasn't really a match. And being that this is Eddie against JJ, let's do something special...JJ will remember this. Eddie runs 1 ball, Eddie runs 2 balls, Eddie runs 3 balls, Eddie runs 4 balls, Eddie runs 5 balls, Eddie runs 6 balls, Eddie runs 7 balls... Oh hell Eddie just runs all 8 of em. Now may I please be allowed without instigating 30 comments say JJ got smoked? Regs ended with 32 points thanks to their 8 players, primarily jerfighter who had those 7 wins in the reg jump coupled with the win for the bonus 3, grand total: 10 for him alone... However, as far as Eddie goes, he would lose in round 4 to eskim0s, racking up 6 points though for BS.
But when it came to the round of 16 it was all about the Black and the Silver. First off Vickie Blondeh14 against PoolFighter Danny, madcab, just an ugly long game. Danny tried to run, left himself on the final ball with the value of Baltic Aevnue for a shot, while Vickie did the same as far as position for the 8. Danny tried to get a cuebank going from behind vickie's 8 AND HE MADE THE SHOT HOLY CRAP!!!!! ...Except the shot was the Cueball 2 rails into the top left. Vickie wins, by the way that was round 4...And round 5? That would be Vickie against Lara, but we'd have to wait an eternity because Lara's tape against Drunkenlu...took the entire time from the end of the game, to the end of this next game to finally clear, because it was a .exe.
That next game would be that Outlaw Big One against MJ fresh off the ban list himself and we all remember that screwy business ith SuperbPool, yes they're both Outlaws. Little glitchy business so being the good-natured sportsman they are...Ha. They rerack. Off the rerack, MJ thinks he has a running chance in the early goings, finds out he has a better chance of running 4 balls then scratching. After that it's All About The Christophers right? Well, almost. 1 ball left easy shot except...it hangs like a pitch from a Milwaukee pitcher. On the ensuing shot MJ has 2 stripes, together, near the bottom rail, no combo oppurtunity, little banking oppurtunity...All the makings of a "HOLY COW!" shot...Which it was, as in...HOLY COW! He made Chris' solid. The w3t maker rolls on.
So who's better? Lara or Vickie? Round 5 quarterfinal match between BlackSilver's ms c0ngeniality and...BlackSilver's Blondeh14. Just your typical back, forth, back forth, tennis, volleyball, badminton, teeter-totter game, the cue stick changed without a ton of action just like a woman's mind. Finally Vickie down to a few stripes left able to put this away, Blondes really are better I guess.
Now back to more of the _BiG__ShoW_ Big One, again former PFN against PFN's volcom. Good game good game good game, rerack. Little glitchy business again. Volcom goes for the run, but the odds are little to none. Clever huh? I spent 5 minutes thinking of that. From there, Chris is having Good Times against the resident of Bad Times because he is DY-NO-MITE! ...OK that took 52 seconds to come up with and sucked big time. In any event, Chris is moving on. He's in the finals. PoolFiction ends with just 3 players all in the cam tourney, 18 points amongst them, and 10 of them..that's as much as jerfighter! Come from the volcom stone.
The other semi, Vickie and PoolMaster LuckyDog begins with a safety break which leads to 10 fun minutes of...Luckydog running all but 1 ball and he's got 0 shot, just plays whatever excuse for a safety he can, Vickie would knock a shot or down, and play a safety...But said the man to the woman: Anything you can do...I CAN DO BETTER! Luckydog buries Vickie between a solid, 8, and the bottom right, she had as much chance as a blonde on Jeopardy. Luckydog wins it, he's in the finals against Chris. As for BlackSilver, they get a big 36 points, they outscore Poolfighters, again, it's becoming a hobby. Vickie also added 10 points, as well as anybody else who won 5 let's just say that. She would also think of herself as a female YPool pioneer...She made the semis of a cam jump...Wave a flag for Vickie congratulations nobody cares a player is a player, and if ya ask me, a player with an 8-21 league record coupled with being a week idle while they're in every interleague known to man, probably isn't gonna get a medal from their home league even if they win the whole tourney. Finals time.
Something that actually matters, Luckydog and the w3t one, Big One. Game 1, Chris has an easy run except...the 8's in an iffy spot. No problem, got a ton of solids left. Problem, he miscued on the 8ball shot, not that he even had a prayer he was right on top of it trying to go around Lucky's mess. The fortunate canine proceeded to simply...finish. Need I say anymore? Simple 4 ball runout, it's 1-0 to the PM player. Then looking to pick up where he left of he's running...running...in 0 time he's already down to 1 stripe and the 8. Problem is, the rail-runner on the left side stops short. Chris takes a few shots, then misses a combo attempt but had a safety if he missed, lucky he did too because he had a cuebank if he made that. So instead it's Luckydog with the cuebank, ball's hanging right in the pocket the problem is the 8 is just horrible. Shot goes, easily, almost scratches, and on the next shot...balls fly everywhere a solid goes...plus it's a foul. Chris ties it 1-1. Decider, trying to run again Luckydoggy style...no good. Chris drains the long bomb under pressure, and the w3t maker is fired up. Took a couple minutes on the 8 to make sure he felt comfortable with the small cut, that wasn't so bad. Chris takes the tourney, for the Outlaws, and alone he brings in an unearthly 17 points, PO had a total of 32, so BlackSilver and PF still beat them. As for the Masters, obviously Luckydog was their leader with 12, and PM as a team, same 5 number as PO, 5 players, and 5 fewer points. Again this is all by my count, I'm probably off the mark in a few places, but gimme a break -_-
As for the rest of MLP news, remember revolutionizingthegame? He's waiting for an invitation to MLP, to play with...who else? The Outlaws.
Also, there are rumors floating around that poolpals' stay in MLP may be a 1-night stand. Not a whole lot of evidence pointing to that, but the possibility is there. Nothing has been said yet however as to why they may leave, but apparently it's possible, like I said.
Top 2 plays of the night: Crypt6uardian against propooler. Run, Eddie run! Crypt ran all 8 balls off the table, during round 3 of the camtasia tourney. But also, just because it was beautiful, Luckydog against Blondeh in the semis. Anything you can do I can do better, Blondeh plays what appeared to be a pretty good safety until Luckydog one-upped her and left her practically helpless between a solid, 8, and the bottom right corner pocket.
Now for your weekly Big League Tour "Did You Know?" This week marks the second season in a row the World Series runner-ups won the first week of the Camtasia tourney. Winner season 4? Poolfiction's eyebrows_down.
I'll try and edit some of the stuff I recorded and make audio/non-audio versions of it, until then...Enjoy the Monday night picks I'm about to put up.
