Thursday's Picks
Regul8ors @ Pool Hustlers (Texas tech vs. UCLA) I have to go with Regs in this match (and Texas Tech) because nobody except Theike knows his lineup tonight. He's taking the regulars of PH now, after their "stacked" team earned them a 1-3 record. So, who plays? Exactly. Nobody really knows. But the Regs have been upset prone, I've said it many times, which is why just like UCLA has a good chance, so does PH. But, now that most of the big players in PH are gone, maybe Theike's in a situation where he does have to play game 7...If that's the case and it goes 3-3, I don't like PH's chances. I doubt it'll reach that though, the Regs will probably win 5-2 on the back of JJ, Andy, and jerfighter except he's gonna die for not showing up to QZ-LPL :
TourneyPool @ PoolPimps (Stanford vs. Mississippi St.) Another match where neither team is great, but they both do have big wins. TP's win against the Masters, and Pimps beat the Regs with 6. I do like the TP team here though. I think in a shooting contest, they'd have the edge. They've also got SecretAgent, who made that huge clutch bank on jimvan in the PM loss...Peachie has had a nice season thus far, while Pimps just don't have as many players on the level of TourneyPool. Preparation shouldn't be an issue being that it's a home match for the Pimps, but I'm giving TP the edge 4-3.
CueKeepers @ UnitedPool (Minnesota vs. Iowa St.) Both teams here are pretty even. The match will probably swing on 1 little break, and thus it makes it quite difficult to pick a winner without completely guessing. I haven't seen a lot of either team but that's why I'm gonna check out this match above any others, and hopefully I'll pick up a few things. But if you had to put me on the spot, I would take the CueKeepers to win, 4-3.
BeerBallers @ PoolMasters (Michigan St. vs. Old Dominion) Yes, I'm evenly matching those two teams as well as BBM-PM, but letting BeerBallers be the Spartans. Why? Because I think if Scott can get that team he had last week, or at least 5 or 6 of them, then they can beat the PoolMasters. But the biggest problem BBM has, is they have to stop treating people like shit. Quit whining about losing even before they've lost. Clogz I know is a really good player, but the best do lose. Just because you don't know a player, doesn't give you ANY right to call them a "noob." Because if you should lose to them, what exactly does it make you? So, run the mouths all ya want but that's the only problem I have with BBM...Also, in a close match, apparently Ivey doesn't want to play because he's STILL ineligible. Also, I hope Scott, as an unofficial punishment, won't let Gratifying play after he ran his mouth like a complete dumbass at last night's PO match. Anyways, without Luckydog, and if the problems his new league has apparently caused haven't completely subsided, there could be a little distraction. Both leagues really want this match, but I give the edge to the Beer lovers, not 4-3, but another gut feeling, 5-2.
