After Wednesday Night

Atlantic - Well, who would've gone out and called XPool winning over MadSkillz in public? That's what happened. Yvettechen in her return to MLP didn't help the effort any, but leizerr did. According to the order of reports he won game 7 for the W. It was all over in about an hour too. King_hustler didn't show because he was working, while MZ simply wasn't, as they fall to 6-4. Knowing that MZ lost Pool Outlaws just did what they do and they did it well. A 7-0 brooming of CueKeepers was in order tonight, increasing the lead in the Atlantic Division to 3 wins, practically giving them the Division barring some catastrophic breakdown. Outlaws with a win next week would clinch a Playoff spot. By the way...They face ElitePool. It's also PO's 9th straight, their only loss being a tight one to MadSkillz. The battle for 2nd could beat up though, if UnitedPool wins they would tie MZ for 2nd in the Division, and both teams have tough matches next week. UnitedPool at 8BR, MadSkillz at LPL, both on Monday night. I shouldn't mention it but BritPool got saaa-haaa-moked. 7-0 loss to Quez, practically killing any Playoff possibility for them.

Central - CueKeepers with that expected loss are now 5-5. So is XPool with their victory over MadSkillz, as they break away from HappyPool and SuperbPool. It stops a 3-match losing skid for XP. If HappyPool wins they complete a 3-way tie for 4th place at 5-5, if not CueKeepers and XPool share a 2-way tie at 5-5. No head to head between them...Oh bummer...Oh wait! They play next week! I love MLP in the late stages! Oh but the best story for last of course, Quez and PoolFiction will meet next week most likely to decide the Central Division. Whew...Lucky #7 for Kevin, who is of course no stranger to long winning streaks as a Captain. Now, see blue? THERE'S a top-of-the-Division battle worth attention ;) lol.

Mountain - Interesting night in the NL. Hustlers buried the BeerBallers 6-1, Ivey the only win for BBM in this match. Brandon moves up to 7-1, Don had a run-out in game 1, this Hustlers team is just simply clicking on all levels right now, their 6th straight win, and should the situation arise they do hold Head to Head over Absolute Finest, sitting pretty up there at 9-1. LuckyPool drops to 4-5, under .500 for the first time this season. They have a chance to change that with their match Thursday night against Bearskins, to make up for the win they lost from EZ8. Their match tonight just their 3rd home match of the season, Thursday will be the 4th. They lost tonight's match 3-4 to TourneyPool, but TP lead it all the way with a 4-0 start. They're a full match behind HotShotz, can move to within a half-match of them if they should win against the Bearskins, but man LuckyPool just can't hold a season together. Losing their captain to MadSkillz, the first game of this match featured LuckyPooler seether_ getting DQed, just nothing works middle or late-season for LuckyPool. I guess you could call 'em chokers I don't know how to be nice about it.

Pacific - And...Speaking of TourneyPool. They are shot makers. Made a few big shots during those first 4 games, Goochonfire blowing position on the 8 and then going draino on the short-rail cuebank along the top, knocking the 8 down top right. TP now 6-4, still a couple games away from frontrunners Regs and PF, but this is a situation where you may wanna just play to stay in the Playoffs. They got some help there. BeerBallers fall to 4-6, in a 4th place tie with Pool Legends, something that Break and Run could very well get in on with a win over Pool Pimps Thursday, ChampionsPool could actually go ahead of them all should they beat PM, having that game in hand with Bearskins coming up. But the biggest reason I love the Pacific Division...EVERY TEAM HAS A CHANCE! And I mean legitimate chances, not extreme long shots, Bearskins could propel themselves up in the Standings, Break and Run could get into a tie for 4th, the Pacific Division is the absolute most entertaining Division in MLP, and you can be rest assured most of my matches to watch in the NL will involve a Pacific Division team. Man, I know it sounds corny and no-life-ish, but this Division really does have me more excited than seeing Duke and UNC meet up. Gives ya a lot more to watch each week. Of course, the NL has always been known for the close Playoff races at the bottom, so now all we can do is sit back and enjoy the show.

Ties all over the place in the Pacific, PoolFiction-Quez in the Central, possible 3-way dance at the bottom there, can MLP get any better? Heh...Actually it can.
