Monday Night

One little boy says thanks yahoo, cubby says you suck, one little boy comes in calling AF aimers, AF says Regs got beat in 5, one little BritPool team comes in, and they're making a Playoff run.

Atlantic - Let's talk about 8BallRunners first. Tied at 5-8 with BritPool, and UnitedPool. Well good news is with a win they move to #4...bad news is that could be the case for about an hour. They were tied 202 with the Wild Angels tonight but WA blew it late, something that has killed them this season. 8BR wins the next 2, and 8BallRunners move to 6-8 on the season. That's good for a half-game lead over BritPool and UnitedPool. Well, BritPool played XPool tonight. 2-1 BritPool, oldlady_with_attitude loses to Tiger_Arse 2-2 right? No. Tiger not on the right name in MLP, and nobody could establish if the name was changed within the 3-minute time limit after the error was found, I can say it was 6 minutes after the game was actually played, so instead of having the call decide the game, they replayed. Jan wins, 3-1 BritPool. Game 5...Coyotesfan, had to cancel his game with blake so Jan and Tiger could replay. 7 solids blocking coyote from the 8, cuebank off the bottom, to top middle, Hakuna Matata. But grrrrobert puts away the_8ball_pimp next game, BritPool would lose game 7 but still win 4-3, and now THEY hold 4th in the Atlantic at 6-8, as some will remember they pounded 8BallRunners like hamburg in week 1, 6-1. Speaking of a team getting pounded, how about one getting absolutely bent over....Again. LPL serving up a 7-0 Broomage to DreamPool. More Match Comments, one from Chris_Dogg blaming Yahoo for his loss. Check the archives for my post on winning and losing bud, it ain't Yahoo you just can't play. Manny (some lame all-numbers thing and I don't think i spelled the name right) got boxed for 10 days, LPL is 9-5, they're looking good for a #4 seed in the Playoffs, with their 2nd consecutive 7-0 vic.

Central - So with DreamPool's first ever 0-7 loss, and only the 500 billionth time they've gone into a match losing the first 2 or 3, they're 8-6. Now, if HappyPool loses, which...They probably will, DreamPool still clinches a Playoff spot. But come Playoff time you may see Pascal or Rob playing one of the first 3. DreamPool's inability to get any early wins against even decent teams, will result in a first round exit if they maintain the #5 spot in the AL, and LPL keeps the #4 seed. That would mean the 2 would meet up again in the first round of the Playoffs, and I haven't seen 1 thing at all from DreamPool to make me believe they can even put up a fight with ANY team that gets in. Even BritPool started up 3-0 on these guys until DP came back to win 4-3. That don't happen every week in the Playoffs. Speaking of Playoff-bound teams in the Central, XPool's rough loss sets them back at .500, 7-7 walking a very fine line. In order for XPool to miss out, since XPool has beat HappyPool, SuperbPool, and Cue Keepers, XPool would need to lose week 15, HappyPool needs to win 1 of the last 2, and SuperbPool and CueKeepers need to win both these final 2 weeks. If HP somehow by some fluke wins out and XPool loses next week, XP could lose out there. So basically, if HP loses this week XPool is practically in. The first scenario I mentioned would cause a 4-way tie for #4, and XPool would need to get swept next week really for any leagues to have a prayer. Angels, 3-11, working on that experience for next season, hopefully they'll turn it around then.

Mountain - lol...Well, remember Moe's interview with me on MLP HotList, which happened within the 3 day lifespan of the blog? I said Pool Hustlers would win the Mountain? They're in good shape. But Absolute Finest isn't gonna go without a fight. They smoked the Regul8ors, beating them in 5 in their 4-3 win, moving to 11-3. That's great right? Well PH faces PoolPimps and Bearskins...and they beat AF...And PH now holds the location of the Mountain Title in their own hands. They beat Regs, beat AF, if PH does get 12 only PF can touch them. But if PF and Regs both finish with 12 wins along with the Hustlers, PH wins the #1 seed because Regs beat the Fighters, and would be the Pacific winners. PF would be a lowly Wildcard and the tiebreaker to determine the Conference Champs would be between Regs and PH...PH won that match. In unrelated news, Breakers Alley have secured the outright fewest # of wins they've ever tallied in an MLP Season. Their 5-2 loss to TourneyPool tonight leaves them at 1-13. BladeTheVampireHunter's still their All-Star though.

Pacific - Regul8ors are now 11-3. That means they've left the door open for PoolFighters to whoop up on Pool Pimps, and they could win the Pacific, and the National League, if they beat TourneyPool Week 15. That all being if PH wins the Mountain, and if Regul8ors lose to Pool Legends. Speaking of that same TourneyPool team, their win tonight moves them to 9-5. Well they're the #6 seed currently, could change to #5 if Pool Masters lose to Pool Legends in the Week 14 finale, because TP won that on some heroics didn't they SecretAgent? Yes they did.

So for the curious, here's how the Playoffs look...Right now.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
#8 BritPool @ #1 Pool Outlaws (Reg. Season: PO won 6-1)
#5 DreamPool @ #4 Lava Pool Lounge (Reg. Season: LPL won 7-0)
#6 MadSkillz @ #3 Pool Fiction (Reg. Season: PFN won 4-3)
#7 XPool @ #2 QueBallz (Reg. Season: TBD [Week 15])

NATIONAL LEAGUE
#8 Pool Legends @ #1 Absolute Finest (Reg. Season: PL won 4-3)
#5 Pool Masters @ #4 Pool Hustlers (Reg. Season: PM won 4-3)
#6 TourneyPool @ #3 PoolFighters (Reg. Season: TBD [Week 15])
#7 HotShotz @ #2 Regul8ors (Reg. Season: REG won 4-3)

So you can see...Those NL scores were 4-3...TP-PF figures to be...If, big if, that became the first round of the NL Playoffs...Not 1 team, not even Regul8ors against HotShotz, would be a sure lock to make it to Round 2. To me...That make for some Playoff Moments. Speaking of which...Every night I think of it I'll recount the MLP Playoffs from what I can remember for you, counting down to another month or so of even more noteable events.

Season 2 Round 1: Stoned Cold Pool Gods sweep 24/7 after it was discovered a few 24/7 players reported games on the MLP ladder to get to 3 games and become eligible for the Playoffs. Match was already 3-0 SCPG at the time with me ready to close it out...*sigh* damn Kayla catching retards cheating :( lol.
