Saturday Night
StraightShots @ Happy Pool - Looked like another SS loss early on as Spider_4298 schooled mvp_joey, who officially won't be playing again this season as he withdrew before the captain-requested box could be made, based on an accusation made on YM outside of the match (ego-happy imbeciles), then Cricky_71 got a win off luckiest_man_alive. but wins from pool professor, Stick 777, and kula's first win playing for StraightShots cleared the way for Judge1417 to come in with 3 wins, this time in game 6 for a change, and close it out after a few silly mistakes from CJwNY. akahoopg0d, acting captain for the night, added to it in game 7 to finish up a 5-2 SS win, their first of the season better than 4-3.
Atlantic - So in the Atlantic StraightShots have a tie with BritPool just 1 game out of 4th place, a tie that BritPool has Head to head advantage on. Good new they're 1 game out, bad news is they've got PFN, QZ, and PO to finish out. So curently SS's season is just about on life support. And of course Joey was a total dud for the team so maybe now that they aren't wasting a space on an idiot they'll have a chance to add someone who knows how to play. And by play I mean more than just how to shoot. They're 4-8 by the way.
Central - HappyPool. They concede 4th to XPool again, as XP won the match between them 4-3. HP now 6-6 after blowing the 2-0 lead and getting swamped by the 5-0 SS run, CueKeepers 1 game back, SPool 2, Angels 3, a WA loss or an HP or XPool win would eliminated Wild Angels officially from Playoff contention, but they've had quite a season coming in with practically 0 interleague experience, and again like I said earlier this week, season 6 they'll probably finish just under .500, then season 7 I think will be the season, if they're still around, they make a serious run at the Playoffs. ...Of course finishing below .500 may work looking at that Atlantic this season lol.
3 weeks to go, and I'd say 5 to 7 teams have somewhat legitimate chances (at least) of getting into the Top 4 (among teams that aren't) and the big Cinderella run to watch: BritPool. Never made it to Playoffs, got a very legitimate chance, they do have a 6-1 humiliation of 8BallRunners from back in Week 1, so I would efinately watch out for this team. They undoubtedly know their record, know they're only a game behind, they have the talent to do it.
Now, time to curse some people. Sunday night, that +16 will be under fire yet again. AF_fire_wolf87 already has it tied with his win against Luis, yes a win is a win, and PH_aka_pomking has a +14 resulting from back-to-back Cam wins, and a huge win over BNR this week. But guess what else? MZ_ph-alex is on the verge of breaking a record that, aside from Luis' huge total wins, some may have thought unbreakable. He has won 7 straight, and has a 1905 Skill Rating very quietly. That puts him a mere 2 points shy of a player currently on his old team, PH's pool_hustler_don for highest ever all-time Skill Rating. So Sunday could see records just get blown out of the water, fire wolf has the option of going for it Sunday or waiting, pomking can make a run at it Sunday and break the win streak record as well, Alex could break Don's Rating record either Sunday, or against DreamPool. A huge Week 13 coming up not just for teams and the Playoffs, but also for individual players. So best of luck to all 3 players here trying to break those records.
