Just some things that have come to me lately

First off, congratulations DreamPool on a monumental upset of PFN, ensuring that the AL will have a different team in the World Series, and best of luck to you and Absolute Finest in round 2 of your respective Playoff Brackets.

I miss Yahoo Pool. Really, I do. You're probably thinking "well cubby you've been here a lot lately when'd you leave?" I didn't. Yahoo Pool left. The game itself, left. No single person is to blame for it, but hardly anyone, myself included, is exempt from blame. Aimers, Boosters, Camtasia. The ABC of YPool. Or, Camtasia, Rares, Aimers, Boosters, the CRAB of YPool. Whatever you prefer. I started playing this in 2001. How many of you remember Pool from then? I know a lot of you have played that long. I realize a huge difference. There are vastly more players, the talent has skyrocketed, the programming of the table has definately changed, but the change that kills me to think of: The amount of fun people have playing.

Oh no, I'm not saying I don't have fun anymore, I've got friends here I can play with, recent and long-time, and sometimes it's a great place to unwind and clear your frustrations. But interleagues... They're simply not the same anymore. Man, I remember the old PIT and ILT, back when they were dominant. PIT was I believe at 4:00 back then, man was it fun. Then ILT on the weekends, it was great. Not too much out there, and you didn't typically deal with idiots every game.

Late in those ILT and PIT tourneys, the games were fun to watch, and the loser lost with class. Now, what happened to those days? Sure, it still happens. Maybe we're seeing the return of fun to this game. The players with good attitudes getting to all the Final Rounds, people like Luis, Pomking, Pita, Missy, just to name a few. I'm yet to see them go about bragging how great they are when they win. Sure Pita puts up on his status he's unstoppable, but we all know he's joking. When they lose, they take it with class. What about the rest of you?

When I started MLP in Season 2, there were 3 big drama moments I had to put up with. CPS-TRP where I called them a bunch of babies for their bickering, XPool against whoever the hell smoked them where PYRO842 accused them all of using aimers, and in the Playoffs where StraightShots player lll_gum_lll was accused by a few people of using an aimer. Now, those are the cases where big-name players get accused (with the exception of Pyro's accusation) But now Mr_Tintin, sid_brother, whoever that MadSkillz player was Kevin went after this season, anyone who plays against that jackoff flipmode off cam, unless they play on Cam, against a well-known player, they're an aimer. It's a fact that none of you can deny. How many times have you seen someone beat a Coma, or a Josh, or another like them, and not be asked for Cam by almost every single one of their friends all of a sudden? It's not "just to ensure a legit game" for them, it's "i think you're cheating prove me wrong."

I'm sure I've stepped on some toes with this, I'll catch some crap from certain names I've mentioned, but that's to be expected. I just want to know when you few stragglers are gonna get a clue and come back to playing Yahoo Pool. Because you're obviously playing something else. Yahoo Pool is a game to play when you want to have some fun, while of course being competitive, and play with other people who want to have the same fun. getting accused of aiming isn't fun. You may think it's funny, but I know how it feels. Not being with the "in" crowd, not being so well-known, I wish I was God sometimes. I could snap my fingers and you could go through what I had gone through and what a lot of players recently have gone through. Then maybe, just maybe, ALL of MLP could be playing Yahoo Pool. I'm taking a break from whatever game you're all playing, I'll stick with MLP of course, and SC, do my duties there, but you won't see me in Interleagues much. I'd rather play Yahoo Pool.
