Monday Night Picks
#1 PoolFighters @ #6 PoolFiction [7PM] - Now we find out if PF is still for real or have they lost too much? PoolFiction won't be aided by Joe as they usually are, he has been b7'D and listed as "Undesirable Member." ...Whatever. Anyways, I'm gonna go with the underdogs here, and say PFN wins 5-2 thanks to a couple big wins from shotz and jada. With a win PFN would likely move up to around 3rd.
#9 Indian Pool @ #9 8Ball Runners [8PM] - Can IND hold their rank and maybe move up a spot depending on how the rest of D-I goes? Probably not. 8BR seems to have picked up a few players but like I learned with MZ and LKP over the past few seasons - Just because you have a lot of good players doesn't mean you'll do good. 8BR have notoriously underachieved from Day 1 in MLP. They'll need their big guns to step up every week though now with the increased level of competition, and lack of cupcake leagues. Nick and copenhagen's games, assuming they play, will be very key for 8BR. I think they win this 5-2.
#5 Beer Ball Masters @ #4 Pool Legends [9PM] - Coming off a dominant Tour win, LuckyDog hopes to lead his team against Brandi's Beer Ballers. Now, Pommy left BBM to go to PL. Jmunoz left his league to go with PL. Then add LuckyDog who will almost be a lock to win. I think PL has the tools it takes to win this match. But then again, so does BBM. They have this Tylernm (grey gooose), Ivey assuming he plays, Coria the same scenario, and I'm only getting started. I think BBM is fairly close to loaded, and they'll edge out PL and take their spot, 4-3.
DIVISION III
#9 Pool Loverz @ #6 Breakers Alley [8PM] - Obviously I know very little of PZ. However, they do have at least one recognizable player in Lenny (angelofmercy.) However, where it's week 1 I don't think PZ will be fully prepared and BA has been doing this season after season. I think the Breakers win this one 5-2, based simply on depth and experience.
So, primarily D-I action tonight, and it looks like some damn good ones for the grand opening of S7. REMINDER - The rule is you need 10 games over the last 7 days, not 10 games played within the current week (as that resets each Sunday and causes many problems) but it's still a rule, one of those games has to be a tourney game as well. I get the feeling that will be the most overlooked rule this season among players and captains.
