Tuesday's Stuff
Didn't see much of the Cheap Shotz-Lucky Shots match, however they did keep it very close, was 3-2 CZ when I got there, and Cheap Shotz won 5-2. CZ gets the other "Z", PZ next week, while Lucky Shots take on the United Nations of Yahoo.
So 8Ball Runners against a pretty solid Pool Pals team. How would they fare in UP?
Bongman for the Runners, bank.eight playing for the Pals... bank had quite a few chances to win this one over Ty... made a good 12-9 bank in the bottom right, but couldn't manufacture a run out of it. Bongman... Had 3 solids left, 2-ball off the left rail, the 1 ball level with it on the right rail, and the 7 on the right-hand top rail. EL GLITCHO! ...I totally know that isn't a word. bank.eight would steal the W from the jaws of defeat, it's 1-0 Pool Pals... Upset special?
Game 2: After Tyler withdrew before the loss could be reported (NOT a good idea btw...) jenni.lanna for PP trying to keep it rolling... The Mad Hatter for 8BR. Medium-length game... lanna had a few good shots, but Todd was simply too good. Nice control, spin, power, etc... We're tied at 1.
Game 3: Declan, defending POTW... Against laser_j. Just like Todd. A great shot to put the cue right between the 8 and 13, and through. Then he just finished the run and made it look like he does this every game. Someone's putting together an MVP Resume... 2-1 Runners.
Game 4: Not a good omen for PP... trustneo for them, musti_runs for 8BR. "runs"... Well, musti wouldn't run right off. We'd be treated to a safety tapfest. When I woke up, trustneo had tied it up at 2 lol.
Game 5: The "other" Neo in this match... Zero_HeroCool taking on PP captain player.name. Much faster than the last game. Neo almost ended up in trouble when he put the cueball right on top of his 5, but he rolled it home bottom right and picked up an easy W... 3-2 8BR back on top. Both Neos win.
Game 6: Pals trying to tie it back up they look to Bam... Runners put up Andy. Safety war again... But Andy would go 8-in-a-row and that would be that. 4-2 Runners up. Andy a clincher? :O Super_RAH knocked off MJ in Game 7... Pretty convincingly, but the Runners still win 4-3.
8Ball Runners are now 2-0, they take on Hot Shotz next week, while the 1-1 Pool Pals have Break n Run.

A pair of big-time matches as Pool Masters go up against BritPool, and PoolFiction takes on the Pool Pimps. Due to a Pool Pimps member constantly locking up PFN's lobby, eligibility is NOT an issue for PFN, as they can hardly get any tourneys run anyways.
