Week 2 Predictions
MONDAY
Well I made the CKP-PL pick in the previous post, so that leaves us with Malditos and Pool Dreamers. MLD I considered favorites to begin with, but now that liverpudlian went and got himself boxed for 2 matches, I take Malditos even bigger. A 6-1 drubbing of the Dreamers, as Mix and co. look to take out last week's loss to PL on the Dreamers.
TUESDAY
Cheap Shotz will probably walk ALL OVER Lucky Shots on Tuesday night. The difference in talent is way too much even for luck to overcome. If LS is to pull off some major upset, Tony has to be the center of it. But after Tony, there isn't much. CZ, 5-2, if not 6-1, over LS.
8Ball Runners will move to 2-0 with an easy win over Pool Pals as well. Pals have a little promise, as they beat HS last week. Problem is, they're running into the best league in MLP, in my opinion, in 8BR. ANOTHER Big League Tour Champion Sunday night as OXFORD took it home, this coming after Declan won Week 1's Tour, another like... 900 Tour points for them, they just have way too much in their arsenal at this point. 5-2 8BR.
WEDNESDAY
Finally some good matches! Pool Masters and Brit Pool. I've already said I think PM will upset BP, and yes I do believe it's an upset, albeit a minor one, talent-wise. Masters will just have one of those nights where they don't miss, and the Brits will need more than just heavymetal to win this match. Maybe they'll get others, maybe they won't, but I take PM, like I said below, 4-3.
Then you have Pool Pimps and Poolfiction. #3 vs. #2 in my top-5. Statistically an upset if the Pimps win, but perhaps it isn't. I think if they keep their heads on straight they can make a decent run at the NL Championship and maybe the World Series. The top 3 in the NL, absolutely no question. Everyone else is going to fight for #4 and #5, it will look exactly like last season's NL, pretty much. As for the match Wednesday night, I take the Pimps 4-3, maybe 5-2, over PFN.
THURSDAY
UNY and PZ... Well it depends. UNY rarely shows up for a match with 7 players ready, though often they end up with 7 at some point. I don't think it'll hurt them TOO badly here. Pool Loverz are a pretty good league, and by pretty good I mean they have some decent players who can help win a match against mediocre opponents. I think this one will be 4-3 either way, if UNY has 7 they win, if not the Loverz win, led by goodwooter.
Break n Run against Hot Shotz... Well Hot Shotz had the better week only losing 3-4, problem is a loss is still a loss. Yeah BNR lost 6-1 (7-0 if I didn't make whoever look good lol) but they also played one of the top NL teams anyways. I think BNR is CAPABLE of making a decent run at a Wildcard game, but they need their best to show up every week, and they don't always get that. I think they can beat Hot Shotz on Thursday, however, 5-2, by getting a few breaks and taking advantage of them.
