8Ball Runners Clinch #1 Seed
UNY_nealejess40 - 8BR_pool_warrior2002 - Slow start to the game... Seriously. First game began at 7:15. With a win in this match, 8BR will secure #1 in the American League. Neale banks the 5ball off the bottom rail and off another ball into the top right pocket, but can't get the 8 to fall. Andy escapes with the win and a 1-0 Runners lead.
UNY_pablo.0wnz - 8BR_crea.tivity - Steve coming off a victory in the Big League Tour this week... Keeps the winning going. He 8-balls pablo here and gives 8BR a 2-0 lead on a night where they could clinch #1.
UNY_sofpoo - 8BR_mjlasko23 - Pretty average game. Sofpoo tried running a couple times but couldn't finish it all out. Matt's safeties kinda dared him to try it more and more as the game continued, but sofpoo wouldn't bite. Eventually mj would play way too soft on a tap attempt, and sofpoo WOULD run. 2-1 match.
UNY_crabby.nipples - 8BR_xxl_themachine_lxx - Si? PLAYING?! What?! Well, he had an almost completely open table. That turned into a WIDE OPEN table. A lack of follow-through while making the 15 nearly cost him. Left nothing after he made the next shot, though, so he plays a safety. Crabby couldn't escape it, Si goes on to win. 3-1 8BR.
UNY_ll_goodwooter_ll - 8BR_fsm_fear - Zack can give 8BR #1 in the American League. Not that they won't get it eventually because even if 8BR loses all their matches, they'll clinch by virtue of everyone else losing within 2 weeks. And the last 8 balls potted were Zack's solids and the 8, and 8Ball Runners are #1! They clinch 4-1.
lncognegro and c_o_r_e_y_y get forfeit wins for 8BR, Wooter said time 2 of his players out but I hope he realizes his players don't get credit towards playoff eligibility...
Other match tonight PFN wins 7-0 over BritPool... Only 2 games played. How sad is BritPool? Seriously. How sad is the National League that they're still in the Playoff hunt? Such a mess... If True Pool Legends knocks off Pool Loverz, guess what? 3-way tie at just 1 game back behind Lucky Shots. Of those 4 (LS, BP, PZ, TPL), it's obvious that Lucky Shots is far and away better than those other 3 and it isn't even close. They'll be without Drizo for nearly 3 weeks, so maybe they'll actually start winning more. I hope so, because I'd rather see a team actually earn their way into Playoffs.
