The matches people actually care about
8BR/CZ was semi-relevant but one way or another, Cheap Shotz was pretty much doomed to the #5 spot in the AL, and 8Ball Runners had clinched the #1 seed what seems like 2 whole seasons ago.
TPL/BP... Completely irrelevant.
Breakers Alley @ United Pool - UP probably wins this. Breakers did salvage a 3-4 loss against CZ last week, but UnitedPool knows that to avoid having to go through a still-dangerous CZ team, and a very dominant 8BR team (for as long as possible,) they need to grab the #2 or #3 seed in the American League. UP wins this one 5-2.
MagicPool @ Break And Run - MP probably wins this one 5-2. They're still mediocre, but BNR isn't much better. They'll be without Dan, like he makes any kind of difference. But since they don't really have anyone they need to get eligible for Playoffs, they can play their best 7 with no problems.
New Happy Pool @ United Nations of Yahoo - UNY took a tough one last week, and to complicate things... Wooter is out for not only this match, but also their first Playoff match. Should be more, really... I mean an aimer accusation AND racist remarks? Chris is lucky he'll be able to play at all IF UNY wins their first playoff match. Of course, there's always Marcy to pick up the slack there. NHP has shown that they aren't overly-concerned with their record, and that they know next season they'll be a contender. I think they win this match, actually, 4-3. Whatever happens, it's in UNY's best interests to manipulate THIS match in a way that they can play MP in the first match. Even then, MP beat them. But it's who they match up best with.
Pool Legends @ Straight Shots - Playing for seeding here. Pool Loverz fluked a HUGE win over PL, and that certainly has to give Straight Shots some confidence going into this. I think PL rebounds nicely, however, and regardless of what Malditos does against Poolfiction, Pool Legends will clinch the #2 seed in the National League.
Pool Loverz @ Lucky Shots - THE big match! The winner is in, the loser is out! Lucky Shots gets Drizo back for this one, which is somehow a good thing, believe it or not. Earlier in the season, PZ absolutely KILLED Lucky Shots, winning 6-1. As mentioned above, last week Loverz beat Pool Legends to maintain that tie for 5th. The way these two league's seasons have gone makes this so tough to pick. Lucky Shots, top-to-bottom, is so much better than PZ it should not even be a debate. But you know why they've lost? Focus. They get distracted by one man - Drizo, making him a double-edged sword. He'll play fairly well and distract opponents, especially in "nice guy" leagues like SS, PZ, etc. But he'll also get into it with his teammates and while they're laughing, oops they screw up and get finished off. I'm gonna go against every single part of the past 13 and a half weeks, every last thing I have learned this season, and everything that has happened... And pick LS to win this one 5-2, and end it rather quickly. They ARE the better team, and as hilarious as it would be to see so much talent miss the Playoffs, it's just not that probable.
Regardless... This will be one fun week!
