CKP: YAY! SS/MP: OH NO!

What am I talking about? This:

Pommy: BNR def 8BR 4-3

What does this mean? Well, it means BNR has a win NOBODY would've even expected them to have under their belt, and they improve to 3-6; a half game over UNY. They also pull to within a game and a half of MagicPool and StraightShots, who of course both sit at 4-4, and are the #4 and #5 seeds currently. They're the leagues saying "uh-oh! Someone else has joined the party!" Let's examine Break and Run's season so far:

A pair of 5-2 losses to MagicPool: Not good.
Revenge for a 6-1 loss back in Week 2 to 8Ball Runners: Very good.
7-0 win over UNY, and a chance to play them next week: Very good.
7-0 loss to Cheap Shotz: Expected, but not that extent.
4-3 loss to Cue Keepers: Very encouraging especially after tonight's match.
7-0 win over NHP: lol nhp.
4-3 loss to Straight Shots: ...Maybe it's SS vs. BNR that will determine who gets in and who doesn't, now that NHP is likely to be replaced?

There is certainly promise for this team. They do have interleague experience, and however big a fluke it may be, they've shown they CAN beat one of the best teams in the Conference. They key for BNR, and really all small leagues, is just bring 7 players and play 7 games of pool. If you get an early lead, the big dogs WILL get frustrated and they'll say things, whether it's on table or to themselves, and sometimes they do get rattled. Is BNR a 4 or 5 seed? Note likely. But then again... Neither was tonight's result.

For 8Ball Runners, it's not really panic time because they're pretty much a lock to win enough matches to make the top 5. It does mean, however, that they fall a half-game behind Cheap Shotz, as they're now 6-3. Need I remind you... CZ knocked off the Runners 4-3 when they met in Week 7? 8BR's other loss was to Cue Keepers the PREVIOUS week, and what a smoke-job THAT was. If they're not careful, 8BR could have to be the away league in a match, or if a league below them catches fire, maybe even a 4-seed. Cue Keepers make out great here because while they lost to Cheap Shotz, it was only a manageable 4-3 and it's their ONLY loss so far. They play MagicPool this week, CZ deals with UNY. Depending on how this turns out... Week 9 could be the pivotal week in the MLP Season.
