Eleven yields Sevens

Oh man how bad is this week gonna be in terms of boring matches... MP, PL, TPL all have wins against joke leagues, no relevant action until Wednesday. So the only relevant match on Wednesday...

MATCH OF THE WEEK:

Cheap Shotz @ Devine Cuez. Last time, 6-1 DC, they made Cheap Shotz look like Cheap Hookers. Much closer this time around. Both teams have played very well in the past few weeks, Devine Cuez only slipping up against a lucky and overlooked PZ team, and they still won even though they shouldn't have. Cuez have been tested more lately, and they're in the midst of a very difficult stretch to finish out the MLP season. I've hinted that Cheap Shotz, on paper, is better. The problem I have in picking them is that Devine Cuez has the American League MVP as of now on their side. That could change. I think if you're DC, as home team, you have to set this up so your best plays their best - Lewis has to play Trumpsterized. Talent-wise, he isn't their best. Statistically, however, he hasn't lost. He has won the big games for CZ numerous times this season. If it's not a clinch, it's still a big game, usually. If Lewis has to be wasted against somebody else, Cheap Shotz wins easily, most likely. This match should determine the American League MVP, slight edge to trump & Cheap Shotz, 4-3.

Only other remotely close match in the American League, UP is pretty good, SS is terrible, but they still have a shot at upsetting United Pool. However, Pascal showed on Sunday night that he is just simply good. As long as they protect him from a runbreak by playing him with break, UP will be fine. They win 5-2, maybe 6-1. 3-way tie for 2nd in the AL with either CZ or DC dropping to 5th.

BIG Thursday night in the National League. Start with a struggling Pool Fiction team against Elite Pool Legendz. EPL wins this, they're the #5 seed in the NL because Magic Pool is just an absolute mess right now. They could actually lose to PP who isn't even in MLP anymore, they're that messed up. Back to PFN, something desperately has to change, not the least of which being the absence of Stu & James. Very odd that two of the best players in PFN, and pool in general would just vanish telling anyone anything. Kerry has tried to fill the void with JJ, who has performed well in Interleagues across the board. Suffice it to say, PFN can't be missing anyone Thursday night if they want to hold onto #1. On EPL's side, you have a team that's just as big a nuisance as Magic Pool, but not quite as big a mess. The biggest knock on EPL is they beat one good team - Tourney Pool. Since then, they haven't beat anybody good and got murdered by Lucky Shots 6-1. EPL can win this match, but not based on their track record. As rough as Pool Fiction has it right now, PFN still wins 5-2.

Break and Run plays Tourney Pool, Luis... IN BNR's room, dominates the BLT again Sunday night. Granted, he DOES play in BNR for UIC. But that won't help Break And Run here. Tourney Pool has their sights set on the #1 seed, it's within reach if Pool Fiction and Dream Pool slip up, Tourney Pool rolls to a 5-2 W.

If I could have 2 Matches of the Week I would. Lucky Shots and Dream Pool finish out the week, starting just after the other 2 Thursday night matches. Lucky Shots is a team that is simply rolling right now. Dream Pool without Ash, had a Bye last week, now we see what that does for them. As I've said, he could still coach, or play some way or another. Prosecute me for saying it, but Dream Pool has been caught coaching and such on Cam, so it doesn't take rocket science to come to the conclusion they coach off it as well, and that's just the shallow end of the possibilities. Lucky Shots led by the usual suspects, they're playing the full season this time and actually some are optimistic that they can get all the way up to #3 if Dream Pool falters. Justin has come almost out of nowhere to emerge as a National League MVP candidate, and if LS can get up to #3, he keeps winning big games for them, that's a definite reality. I don't buy into Ray's hype, I buy into the fact he's a solid player having an oustanding season. Kinda like trump with Cheap Shotz. I also buy into Lucky Shots riding this wave of success, winning 4-3.
